Dunkan Sarcova
Dunkan as solitary as he always was, was found walking alone through the bank of a lake that was as big as to not being able to find a limit to it, just the sparse islands that adorned its clean waters. The large male didn't see a problem with swimming in order to cross it. He wasn't weak, he was strong and a swim like that wouldn't represent too much trouble to his muscular legs. But he still wasn't a moron, he wouldn't swim straight. And thus he entered and swam first to the nearest piece of land and so on and so on until he felt tired and not wishing to exceed he rested in one of the islands, but he wouldn't be there for too long, only until he recovered his breath enough.

Eyes closed as he lied down, wanting to just be at peace. And he hoped no one would bother him, he was never in the mood to be disturbed.

The Captains course continued to be vaguely northward, though speckled with swerves to and fro, as he followed his own whim wherever it led. He had had no set goal in returning to Relic Lore, other than the hope of running into his brothers on their own adventures, and so had simply chosen Hearthwood as a guidepost, to have something to head towards; stopping by the pack lands seemed like an interesting enough idea, for old times sake. But there was no haste in his journey, nor any real eagerness to reach the giant woods of Kingsfall – it would be there whenever he got to it, he was sure of that.

Today though, he had no intend on shortening that distance! Around dawn, he had reached the banks of Turtleback Lake, a broad grin on his face as he took in the splendid sight beneath the sunrise; This is more like it! What better place could there be, for a seasoned pirate. Once he’d filled himself to the brim with the impression, he sought out a place to hunker down, soon enough finding a protected little nook to rest his paws and regain his strength; he would need it, come sunset.

And so it was, that as the light passed behind the mountains to the west, Kyrios jumped into the lake, yowling joyously as the icy water enveloped him. It was a dangerous game, swimming out into open water, which was cold enough to make his muscles cramp at any moment, which was exactly why he was doing it; What’s the fun without a little daring? Still, he was smart enough not to linger, and set a swift course for the nearest island, jutting out of the azure spray.

In the end, it was not a moment too soon when his scrambling paws struck rock, a constant shiver running all the way down his spine as he dragged himself out of the waves. One hind leg felt dangerously tight, but the daredevil offered it no worry. Instead he grinned wolfishly, shaking out his fur with vigorous energy, before letting an excited howl sound to the sky; I live!

Dunkan rested as he knew swiming exhausted could go pretty wrong, and being a fool was now part of his essece. He alwyas did what the comon sence ditacted him to do,and he had to do eveyrthing the plan said. And now he waited for his legs and lungs to rest for later on resume with his journey. Eyes of gold lurked around, wanting to plan which island or what route he would now take, the other shore was still a bit far but not enough for the last forces he would use in the swiming he had yet to do.
But when he was ready, a stranger arrived at the same piece of land where he was. He didn't say anything as with a critical gaze, he looked at the other male. Judgmental and intense, wondering why here and not on another island. He of course laid no claim to these places, but still, he had a big sense of personal space.
Then an annoying howl came from the other male, and an ear switched back in confusion. This made him remember that boy he met months ago, who yelled in a cave for no reason. He sighed hoping this man wasn't as idiotic as the other. Again he didn't speak, why would he have to waste his breath by speaking to a freak? He pretended he didn't see them hoping they would leave without noticing him.

Dunkan can be a quiet rude and indifferent wolf, his thoughts and attitude doesn't reflect those of his roleplayer's!

His head came down with a fresh, impish grin across the muzzle, nose sniffing deeply. He’d caught the scent of wolf among the fresh, lake air, and not the kind left behind by another traveler either; Someone’s here! Golden eyes swept the rocky woods of the island, glittering sharply. There weren’t many hiding spaces around, the island essentially just a large rock with a few scattered cedars on its back, but then, the stranger might have figured swimming across the lake was enough.

But Kyrios was eager to make a new acquaintance, especially someone brave enough to sail such treacherous waters. Raising his pale tail like a waving flag at top mast, he called into the trees with a voice laced in humor: “Ye might as well come out, mate! Ain’t enough brush ‘ere t’ hide a rat, never mind a full-grown wolf.” He remained standing in place, wagging his tail-banner as a sign of friendliness. He wasn’t about to go digging through every crevice in the rock if the stranger wouldn’t come out of his own will, but he hoped he would; It’s been a while since I last saw another wolf…
