Laughter wasn't an expected response, and Scully's ears lifted while his eyes narrowed, recognizing a fellow shit-stirrer. Not exactly what they needed hanging around at the moment. Someone he assumed was a sibling but could have been anything to the girl wasn't far behind, and Scully moved to stand parallel with his sister, at her side where he belonged.

As a child, it would have been all teeth and blows had someone tried to push his and his sister's buttons the way the young girls clearly wanted to. Now, he merely snorted while the ire phased out of his features. They were just kids running their mouths simply because they had tongues to do so with - nothing they said rang true much less stung. At least she revealed something useful about herself, and things made much more sense.

"Yeah well that's some real cool talking out of your ass, but we like the Willows. So we're living here."

End of story. He tossed his silver gaze toward his sister.

"Think this one's from Great Aunt Morganna's mob. Heard they're nannied by crab's and raised on the blood of the innocent."

Scully flashed a grin - he didn't mind letting sass fly when it was family, but then he was far from a saint himself. It remained Avella's call, as always.

Cocking a grin at Deluge's words, her sapphire eyes continued to bore holes in the bodies of the two before them, watching and waiting for their next move. They were all raised to be scrappy and never shy away from a fight and if a fight was what they wanted, a fight they shall receive. The dark one's words fell flat against her hers, prompting a harsh laugh out of her maw. "Aye we do like a little blood, don't we?" Seiche answered with a snarl as her gaze looked over to her sister before looking back at the duo. "Willin' to give us some o' yer's? I do be feelin' 'ungry," she drawled as her gaze settled on the female with a savage grin if she wanted to charge her, bring it on.

Avella was ready for whatever fighter come though she didn't really want it. She hadn't wanted it the while time, it never solved anything in her opinion but these two were just ignorant and thought their smart mouths were the way to go. She hoped one day someone would show them that they needed to fix their attitudes. She was all ready to charge them until the first one spoke and mentioned Morganna and Elettra. Scullys words from beside her brought an amused smile from her lips.

"Must be the truth, I doubt Great Aunt Morganna would stand for them treating us like this." Stated Avella, "Must be the crabs influence."

Of course the newest one had some words that had become meaningless after the realization. Sadly these imbeciles were related to them, they were Archers too. Running around giving the rest of them a bad name.

"Great Grandma Elettra is probably ready to come back from the dead to teach them a few things about being a true Archer," she added hoping it might help them get the picture since she and Scully had already put the pieces together.

At the mention of her Nonna’s name, her tail arched high over her back in a wave, acknowledgement, but not a surrender. A bark of laughter left her chest at the reply her sister gave, “Livin’ ‘ere ain’t ownin’ it, an’ I ain’t back-trackin’ ter climb th’ mountain.” If they wanted to escort her out they could watch her pretty ass from the west, she’d be sure to keep her tail up the whole time just to give them a sight to remember.

When the first one said something about Nonna Morg’s assessment of their manners she nearly lost her knees with amusement. “Nonna Morg’d rip yer heart out an’ make yer watch ‘er eat it. She don’ ask, she takes,” and so do we. It wasn’t said with any malice, merely a stating of facts, but now it didn’t look like it was going to end in a fight she was tired of this encounter and ready to search out the hot springs that were meant to be almost directly in line with the soon to be setting sun. Maybe camping nearby would be slightly less frigid than all this fucking snow.

She never thought she would say she missed the sand.

“If yer end up with enough wolves ter mark a proper border, maybe we’ll go around next time.” Maybe she would, maybe she wouldn’t. She wasn’t one to make promises. She gave her sister a hint of a smile, they would have a proper reunion once they were clear of this place.

-Deluge exit unless stopped-

The seawitch was already tired of this encounter and wished to rid herself of these boring relatives who clearly didn't embrace their heritage like her worthy relatives did. Those were the ones she would grave her presence with, not these barnacles. So, with an annoyed expression upon her maw, she was content to let her sister do the rest of the talking. A smirk crawled upon her maw at the mention of their Nonna doing explicit things to their hearts. Oh, that she would want to see! Seiche was too impatient to wait for the conclusion of this meeting, so once Deluge gave her a smirk, the salt and pepper female turned her tail and sauntered away.

 

None of them paid him any mind, and Hagar did not take offense to that. He continued as he was, observant and receptive should he be called upon. His head tilted at the unkindness with which Deluge seemed to talk to his companions, making him second guess his own comfort around the young girl. He didn't know who this Nonna-morged was, but he certainly did not want her to take his heart. He also wasn't sure why she was so intent on disrespecting his alphas and their clearly-marked territory - five strong was a pack, in his opinion, even if they hadn't been given a name yet. Perhaps, Deluge was an alpha herself? Wouldn't that mean she needed to move onward, to find her own land to claim instead of squabbling over what was clearly not available?

Hagar huffed, and approached his leaders. That was enough, in his opinion, and he was very happy to see the two youths see their way out. Where he'd come from, children didn't speak so uncouthly, even if they wanted their own way - they put in their dues, saw right by their families and then left to find what they yearned for. It was clear the sisters had not, and saw no need to, which didn't bode well for their futures in his opinion.

He took to Avella's side opposite Scully, and respectfully tapped the bottom of her chin with his nose - he was here.

Seiche's jesting threat was met with a calm but pointed lift of Scully's lips, displaying his fangs. Try it, they spoke for him.

Avella's sarcasm turned his gaze back to the one who looked most like the mother that raised her, and who was quick to continue her arguing. No one's asking you to almost jumped out of his maw, but he knew that emphasizing the difference between 'backtracking' and 'going around' would only encourage the girls to antagonize his sibling more and cut directly through their path. Perhaps it was lucky, that he shared so many similarities in personality to these two. Had he been raised on Aunt Morganna's beach rather than curbed by the discipline of his actual childhood environment, there'd likely be no difference at all.

What it meant, was that he was fairly confident he knew how to deal with their errant relatives and mitigate the damage they could potentially do to the Ridge. He did have to snort, though, when the darker girl spoke of Morganna eating her great-nephew and niece's hearts and taking whatever she wanted - yes, that definitely fit what their father had told him of the woman. It was clear Sven was bitter about multiple aspects of his childhood, and so Scully had taken everything with a grain of salt, but perhaps the tales had been truer than he'd thought.

"'Kay bye-bye," was all he tossed their way, giving his sister a knowing look.

"Well, the Lore's about to go to shit. Sure you still wanna stay?"

He was teasing, of course - they would not be swayed from their goal so easily. If anything, it gave him more motivation to very much be ready with a pack full of teeth to meet the duo with the next time they tried to test their resolve. Scully glanced the way they'd gone, out of earshot now.

"Gar, tail 'em. Make sure they don't try anything stupid. And don't get seen."

If they knew, it would just provoke exactly what he was hoping to prevent.

The further threats from the two were ignored, Avella didn't much care what they thought great aunt Morganna would do. She wasn't there to do what was being said she would and frankly she didn't believe Morganna would do anything to them. After all she and Scully were her family whether ot not these imbeciles wanted to admit it or not. Don't get her wrong though, she was well aware that her great aunt was capable of those things they spoke of.

Avella huff irritably at the notion of going around next time as long as they had borders. All that did was motive her to want to gather as many wolves on her side as possible. Teach these two a lesson. Almost as if he knew her thoughts Hagar was at her side tapping her chin. She nudged his cheek to thank him for his support in the matter.

Thankfully, the encounter was over with the sisters' departure. Avella gave her brother a nod at the look he'd given her.

A smile formed on her lips at Scully's comment, "Of course my dear brother, wouldn't want to give them the satisfaction of taking our land."

They had a goal and she was now more determined than ever. Plans were already forming in the masked woman's mind. There was work to be done she knew she had the support of those around her.

Now that the siblings were gone Scully gave Hagar an oder to follow them. "Be careful," she ordered as well, "We don't want anything happening to you." Because those two might just be crazy enough to do something to a lone wolf. Avella brushed her muzzle against Hagars for emphasis on her words. He was with them now, he mattered to her.

"We need to be prepared for them," she told Scully her tone very serious.

Taking our land? Would they really attempt that? Hagar frowned. It was unheard of to him, and he found himself doubtful, but it wouldn't be the first new thing he encountered in this land. Regardless, he did not need to be told twice to follow instructions. He nodded once to Scully, then again to Avella's voiced concern. He didn't anticipate trouble, for Scully's directive had been clear - only defend, do not provoke.

He set off at a leisurely pace, snuffling along the ground. He would simply follow their trail, keeping him far enough behind them that they would not be visible to each other. As soon as he reached the end of what the Archer siblings called theirs, he would find himself a branch to sit with and gnaw on, an aloof guard simply ensuring that the sisters did not double back for a surprise.
