Weather: Broken Clouds | 39.15 ° F | Morning
The days had seemed to finally tease the prospect of spring creeping just around the corner lately. Yes, there was still a good amount of snow that littered the ground and managed to wedge itself between a traveler's toes, but the extra warmth that clung to the air was a welcomed relief. Enough so that Kaeruka actually found herself stirring for the day earlier than usual.
Sleep riddled lids struggled momentarily to lift themselves and reveal her olive green irises beneath while jaws parted to allow a salmon tongue to roll out. Heaving forward and up onto tired limbs, Kaeruka gave her mottled pelt a good shake to rid any hitchhiking debris before making her way over to the nearest edge of the lagoon she was using as her temporary camp to lap at the mirror-like surface. Ripples migrated outward to disturb the once calm surface of the water that perfectly reflected the morning sky above and its dappled coverage of clouds which helped to trap in some of the warmth offered by the rays of sunlight filtering through.
Once her morning thirst was quenched with a few laps, it was time to determine what today would consist of for the young female.
