Dead Empress Backwater II. Leader
Eros Valle
Through his ebbing giggles, Eros heard a familiar voice call out. He turned his head to scan the shore, and quickly caught sight of Leo. Even with the distance between them, the young Valle could see the concern written across the other boy's features. His own brows pinched with bemusement as he finally got back onto his paws.

The girls were chattering, something about a trick and he wanted to keep playing with them, but... his dial swiveled back and forth between the two groups, before finally deciding. Reluctantly, he headed back for the shore, directed toward the Vuesain heir. He wanted to know what the other kid was looing so worried about, and maybe help him feel better about it if possible.

"What's up?" was all he asked once close enough to, only strides away from leaving the icy surface altogether.

Sanguine Cove VI. Guardian
Leo Vuesain

Eyes fixed on the ice, Leo winced as the dark girl jumped into the air, the glory of her spin entirely lost on the boy who could only focus how the ice shook when she hit it. It probably wasn’t nearly as bad as his head made it seem, but to his inner eye, hairline cracks were already spreading all over the lake surface.

Kateri’s words finally drew his attention from the ice, a deep frown on his face as he looked at his sister. She was older than him, though that wasn’t something he often thought about, feeling responsible for her as he did his other siblings, now he wavered for a moment; It hasn’t broken with all the others out there… Still, knowing Kateri was still too careful of her leg to want to try the sliding, he elected to stay by her side, giving his head a light shake in answer to her suggestion.

Meanwhile the pups out on the ice were laughing, nonplussed by the danger. Or, perhaps not, as Eros left the girls behind to slide bake towards shore. Leo had to admit, the other boy looked very elegant in doing so; It does seem like fun…! He bit his lip. When Eros called out, in that casual manner of his, Leo suddenly felt embarrassed. Obviously, none of the visitors had fallen through the ice, making his outburst seem silly and, for some reason, parroting his parents’ rules in front of the Archer boys seemed cowardly.

“I-it’s just… The ice’s kinda… Dangerous,” he finally stammered, turning his eyes down to avoid the stares of the other boys, and whatever feelings they might hold towards him; “If it b-breaks… You’ll fall through’n drown… That’s what Da says.” He definitely sounded like a wimp.

Marrah Macieo-Tainn
This will be the last round! Feel free to post if you would like, otherwise this thread will be arhcived July 19th.

I’m Done Putting Out The Fires You Start

Marrah had been so excited about her spin that she had mostly landed that she did not even mind that she ended up falling, Plus, she had fallen harder than that plenty of times back at the Chasm. She had been just about to show Enera exactly how she had done the trick when the boy who had been with them began slipping back towards the shore.

The pup paused, watching curiously as he spoke with a tawny boy on the shore who looked less than happy as he watched the group. Chewing on the inside of her cheek instinctively Marrah’s ears flicked forward to listen. She couldn’t catch every word from where she was but the one that she did make out made her feel frozen in place. Dangerous. Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. She had led Enera and all the others out somewhere dangerous.

Tucking her tail under her belly in guilt, Marrah looked towards Enera, wondering if she had just heard the same thing. She felt so bad that she could have unintentionally caused anyone any harm. Without saying another word she began slipping back to shore, back to safety. She would join all the others and then she would need to apologize.

Kateri Vuesain-Slayer
Kateri wasn't exactly content sitting on the shore while the two girls and Eros went out and had fun. She couldn't help but laugh slightly when Eros entered onto the ice and then fell. She could see he was having a good time. The two girls were doing tricks like spinning and twisting and junoing. The Slayer girl wished she could be out there with them. The whole time the lake had been frozen she'd never even consodered sliding on the ice like they were.

Her brother felt that it was dangerous and had voiced as much. She didn't think so. She thought that if it were the ice would have already broken. She touched her brothers cheek with her nose in hopes it might comfort him some. She bumped Archer's shoulder and waited until he looked at her, "You should go put and have fun. I think it will be alright," she didn't want the boys to miss out on something that looked really fun.

The dark girl caught sight of Eros coming toward him but his attention was on Leo as ge spoke. So she turned her attention to the girls who'd stopped doing their tricks. This brought a small frown to her face, "I hope their alright," she said to Archer. Maybe they'd gotten hurt when they'd fallen.

Sneaking these two in

Archer Valle

Archer watched the sliding pups anxiously, and when Leo announced that it was dangerous, that they could fall in and drown, he felt vindicated. He was immediately on his feet. He knew his brother could swim - if he'd paid any attention to Da, anyway - but there was something about the idea of being under the ice that frightened him. Kateri seemed less concerned, however, and at least Eros was over at the edge with them now...

The dark girl from the third pack was headed their way now, but the lighter-furred girl was still a ways out there. Anxiety churned in Archer's stomach. "Just come back!" he shouted at her in frustration.

Enera Rayvne
had a dream so big and loud

JUMPED SO HIGH I TOUCHED THE CLOUDS

Everyone seemed to be making their way towards the group of pups gathered on the shore, so Enera reluctantly started following. She was having fun! Marrah suddenly seemed downtrodden and, worried about her friend, Enera pushed off a little harder to catch up. As she did so the dark boy from the other pack shouted at them come come back. "Who does he think he is, huh?" she muttered as she caught up with her sister-friend. She scrunched her nose at the other boy. They were just playing; who was he to tell them they couldn't? This wasn't even his territory!

Even so, everyone else seemed to be collecting here, so the young Rayvne girl resisted the urge to skate back out from spite and join the other pups on shore.

I’m Done Putting Out The Fires You Start

Marrah’s ears flicked backwards when her friend complained and she gave a non-committal nod and a hum. She felt guilty for convincing her sister-friend and some of the others to come out here and play if it was dangerous. Something could have happened to them and then it would be all her fault. She murmured in return, ”They said it’s dangerous.” They needed to get to safety.

Once they made it to shore she offered an apologetic wag to Leo who had been worried about their safety. Feeling more awkward than anything about the whole situation she looked over her shoulder at Enera, then at everyone else. In the end she said an apologetic, ”We should be getting back anyways, the adults are going to be wanting to leave soon.” Before her sister-friend could argue the darker girl turned and quickly trotted away.
