Ledavia Rosemary
If one were to ask what Leda's opinion of the heat was, she would opine that the sudden draught that befell the world she was exploring was anything but good. With breeding season coming to an end and many swollen females attempting to brave the world of pregnancy in whatever circumstances that had fallen over them, she could not imagine how they were handling the heat; or the lack of water through the rivers.

She had just left the lagoon prior to exploring further. Proper hunting grounds were what she had found. Hunting had always been a favorite of hers; she'd rather hunt than patrol, rather patrol than talk to others, and really she'd rather do anything other than deal with other wolves. Her first meetings were... well, one had gone slightly better than the other—and she was hoping she'd not come upon @Merrick (not that she knows his name) again. He'd proven himself to be daft, or perhaps lazy, whatever term applied to the male wolf when it came to hunting, was an apt one, she was certain, as long as one did not opine that he was skilled at hunting.

Leda was laying in some tall grass, enjoying the slightly cooler nighttime, watching the sky above. It was a respite from the heat of the day that she had dealt with whilst traveling from the lagoon; slight dehydration upon finding no other waterways (though she had found traces of water, there had been none to be had aside from the lagoon, and she was stubborn). She rolled onto her back, huffing up at the sky.

At least the nighttime was cooler. She'd have to make the trip to the lagoon before the sun rose again, and likely travel in the night if she could manage it. Perhaps she needed to find other sources of water; the lagoon was close to a pack, and she didn't want trouble... but for the time, she had decided that the lagoon was her water source, and she'd return to it before morning.

Her ears pricked up as she caught the rustling of grass underneath paws. She quickly rolled over, ears pinning to her head. Unlike with Merrick, she was not confrontational, and she had no reason to be—it wasn't like this stranger was stealing her meal that she'd worked quite hard to catch, after all.

Leda's gaze swept over the meadow, until she found the owner of the steps, averting her gaze briefly, uncertainly.
