Would this snow ever end?
There seemed to be no end to it, frankly, as tan lined lids narrowed themselves against the frigid blast of cold air and snow that whipped and snagged at his marbled pelt like a rabid beast starved of food which made it quite hard to discern where the best course of travel would be to find some sort of shelter. If there was any shelter to be found here. Maybe it was to serve as punishment from mother nature for his choice in entertainment recently, or perhaps it wasn't that deep at all and it truly was just a rogue snowstorm brewing late in the season. Regardless did it have to kick up once he reached opened fields near the base of the craggy mountain he just descended from with no cover in sight!?
This was just great.
Irked by his current predicament Sunder trudged onward with steps more forceful than need be through the fresh powder that fell consistently, tail lashing in his agitation high above his rump. Whatever trail his paws had hoped to leave in the thick snow fields were swiftly erased by the next gust of wind that barrelled through, almost daring enough to shove the male off balance while filling in his hard work with fresh snow. There had to be some makeshift shelter he could find around here to wait out the storm.
