Sanguine Cove VIII. Subordinate
Galen Vuesain
RE: Galen, the ghost-like form of a snowy owl is seen gliding silently overhead.
All welcome.

Since Galen's return, there was little that had changed for the swarthy child. Some of the weight he had lost due to scavenging carcasses in order to eat while lost in the unknown outside Sanguine Cove had begun to fill back out on along his ribs. The dullness to his coat too had faded to make way for its usual level of sheen. All in all pleasant visible signs of his gradual recovery. One thing that hadn't changed, though, was his fascination with the cover of darkness and his near inability to sleep during its counterpart.

Under the star-studded navy blanket, Galen traversed on quiet tiptoes along the inner workings of the communal den site and out toward the stillness of the mountain pine that surrounded them. The last thing he wanted was to wake anyone else and be bombarded with an onslaught of questions as to why he was up still and where in the world he thought he was going. Causing unintentional panic was definitely not on the boy's agenda today.

Inky limbs trudged onward through the collection of snow on the ground, leaving behind a fairly easy enough trail to follow should someone happen to stir from their slumber and want to keep a watchful eye on him. Stealing a glance toward the clear sky above, golden eyes widened in response to the sight they saw. Galen wasn't sure what his eyes were seeing for the pale figure soared so fast and so silently, looking like a ghostly silhouette against the inky background of the night sky until it disappeared into the depths of the forest. "What was that?!"
