Magg Eastfall-Slayer
Random Event: Magg, lightning strikes a tree right next to you. All welcome! Heads up to parents @Nash and @Aquene!

Magg remained rather unaffected by the pack's great loss. While the temperaments of her parents had shifted, they still provided her with the love and care she needed, sufficiently keeping the young girl happy. Still, it didn't stop her from showing feigned sympathy. When they were down or even crying, she'd crawl up to them with her soft puppy whines and cuddle and coo with them until things changed. It helped her get even more attention, reinforcing the little act.

At this time, however, their den was empty. Everyone was out and about doing one thing or another, and even the sun had gone somewhere else. Instead of soft blues and whites, the sky above was darkened with storm clouds that refused to let go of their rain. Oblivious to the dangers they still presented, the child had decided to take the opportunity to venture out and explore a little.

She ended up discovering a dead tree along the lake's shore, brittle and rotted. It was shedding its branches in chunks, most often sawed away by insects and the birds that fed on them. Magg took her pick of the spoils, settling onto her belly with a large chunk of crumbling wood to gnaw on. Above, the sky boiled and thunder began to whisper.

Matos Eastfall-Slayer
<3

The day was darker than normal as teasing storm clouds loomed overhead. The colorless clouds blocked the heat from the sun, something the dark boy was glad for. It was a good day for exploring and after having done so he headed towards the lake for a drink. His large dark paws navigated over boulders and around trees until the precious water came into view. His shifting gaze looked upon the body of water in awe. Matos thought the lake was amazing, having not seen it at its former glory. His inky frame made its way onto the shore, heading for the waterline. Something moving nearby caught his attention. It was the sandy frame of his littermate, making her way towards a large fallen tree.

A devious grin pulled at his inky lips as he rerouted himself back towards the trees. He made his way towards his sister unseen within the forest. While Matos was the least devious of the triplets, he still had his moment. The Eastfall-Slayer boy crouched low, slowly stalking towards where Magg laid. She was preoccupied with a large stick from the rotting tree, hopefully unaware of his presence. If he could stalk close enough to pounce on her he would do just that.

Monatalia Eastfall-Slayer
Monatalia didn't really know what to think about the troubles faced by the other pups. They didn't really affect her, obviously, except that mom and dad weren't paying as much attention to her as she deserved. What did it matter if the other dad was gone? What did that even mean? Her dad was gone all the time and he always came back eventually. Nobody caught her crying about it.

Today was even worse, since mom and dad were off doing... something. She didn't know. She didn't care. They weren't here which meant she was by herself which was completely unacceptable.

Until...

A creeping grin spread across her face when she smelled her brother, and in a few more steps she saw her paler sister further down the lakeshore. Surely they weren't here to practice swimming, they didn't do that. They weren't nearly as good at it as she was. This had to be good.

Rather than sneaking up and trying to scare either one of them, like she might have done any other day, Mona laid low to see what Matos was going to do. If she could scare both of them later, well... all the better for her!

Magg Eastfall-Slayer
Magg was thoroughly engrossed in her activity. It rendered her oblivious to the growling thunder, and her siblings' advances which it helped to cover. The wind was also beginning to pick up as the broiling clouds above moved quicker, and still she munched. That was, until Matos met his aim and leapt out at her. The scare shot all the way up her spine and through her tail tip, causing her to jump straight up with a yelp before whirling around to glare at her brother.

That was not funny. ... was it? The ire fled her just as swiftly as it had onset. Her hackles smoothed and she turned her head to the side, observing her brother's behavior. So far, she remained ignorant to the fact that her sister had also followed her down to the shoreline, nor the growing electrical storm overhead that was equally as ready to strike.

Matos Eastfall-Slayer
The brewing storm above provided more than enough cover for the not so sneaky child. The rumbling thunder drowning out his own footsteps as he stalked closer. That didnt matter though to the boy, for he was being successful with each undetected step. Finally he was in striking distance. With an almost cat like wriggle the shadow boy lept from the brush right next to the pale girl.

A loud yelp was pulled from the mousy girls' maw as she jumped straight in the air hackled raised. Turning to glare at him, Matos couldn't help but laugh. His littermates usually got the drop on him. So finally being the one to strike first felt so good. He pawed at her as she visably relaxed. Whatchu doin'? He asked dual colored gaze moving to the stick she had been chewing on. It looked like fun to the eldest triplet, and he wanted in on the action.

Not even being three months old, the Eastfall Slayer boy wasnt very observant of his surroundings. Like his sister before him, he was now oblivious to his other agemate lurking in the shadows. Doing just what he was moments before. He was also unaware of what the sky had brewing above. He had seen clouds before, but they hadnt ever done anything besides hover there. Why would these be any different?

Monatalia Eastfall-Slayer
Mona only just barely managed to contain her peals of laughter at the shriek that graced her ears when Matos jumped on Magg. As it was a small giggle escaped, but she hoped the boiling sky above was noisy enough to disguise the sound. With the pair now talking and seemingly relaxed, the darker sister began to stealthily - in her eyes - pull herself forward to frighten her siblings herself. How much sweeter would it be if she could get both of them, rather than just one?

It would certainly prove her the superior triplet!

A wide grin pulled at her maw as she crept closer. If they'd seen her she hadn't noticed. Energy prickled at her fur, lifting it in her excitement. When she was close enough she would strike, shouting "Boo!" with everything in her.

Magg Eastfall-Slayer
Matos laughed. Magg blinked, then felt a tickle in her chest, the urge to giggle along. Before the noise could fully manifest, however, she noticed her sibling's eyes lock onto her chew toy and her mood shifted once more. Defensively, she stepped to the side so as to block his view of the neat-textured chunks of branch. The girl hadn't been born yesterday, and had had what she saw as hers taken from her plenty of times for the sake of sharing. Not this time.

She opened her mouth to tell him as much and answer his question in the same statement, but she was cut off once more as a second shadow separated from its brethren to leap out at her and Mat. To her own chagrin, she leapt once more as though something had pulled her tail. Mona!

Anger flared up for real this time, and she took a deep breath with which to bellow at her sister. Lightning shot from the sky the moment she screamed, striking what still stood of the parasite-ridden tree in a deafening crack. Magg watched with large, awestruck eyes as the truck practically exploded and shards of wood rained down around them.

Matos Eastfall-Slayer
Her large stick looked like a ton of fun and the ebony boy wanted to play with it as well. His tawny sister didnt like that idea and defensively stepped over the stick. Before she could verbally tell him no, a loud "Boo" called out behind him causing him to jump and fur to bristle. Matos spun around to see the ebony form of his other sister emerging from the shadows. Getting him just as he had gotten his tawny triplet only moments before. Unlike Magg's initial reaction of anger the eldest Eastfall-Slayer child began to laugh. Mona had gotten them fair and square, he couldn't be mad.

Before a sound could leave him another, much larger and scarier, interruption occurred. White hot lightning cracked the large fallen tree that was a mere few feet away. It exploded as he too let out a scream. He hunkered down where he stood, attempting to brace himself from the wooden rain.
