Claw
All welcome!
Claw has taken a couple of days since this thread to get settled and is ready to meet his fellow crew mates.

Early morning began to creep itself over the horizon and with it beckoned the ritualistic songs of the feathered variety like clockwork. Groggy lids reluctantly lifted to reveal a pair of tawny-lined emerald eyes, his cream-tinted brows furrowing at having been stirred from his pleasant slumber. Oh well, he supposed it was best to get an early jump on the day.

Dark limbs lugged his weight out from the depths of the makeshift den he sculpted near the outskirts of Loach's crew, not entirely comfortable with the idea of bedding down near so many strangers nor giving up his loner lifestyle completely just yet. The young Archer hadn't anticipated staying as long as he had already, but he felt no rush to venture elsewhere either. Perhaps on today's agenda, he'd finally seek out these roaming strangers that made up the crew and introduce himself now that he had gotten himself settled for the most part.

Alas, who would be his first victim of awkward socialization?

Llinea Ingersdatter

Her dreams were still plagued with the flashing of teeth and stench of blood, but after her talk with... Well, everyone, Llinnea felt a bit better. They knew what was at stake now, what might be coming after her, and they were still here. Maybe... Maybe she could be happy here.

And then Loach had to go and bring back another new face. Llinnea hadn't met him yet, but she knew the yearling was about. She'd smelled him. He hadn't sought her out, however, so she was content to avoid him as well. So long as he stayed away from her little den and her favorite fishing spot, she didn't mind simply sharing the space. Much.

Dawn slowly crept into her den and the yearling blinked and yawned, yielding to the day. She stretched as she slipped from her shelter and paused at the sight of a figure a little ways down the shore. Not Clouse, Lana, or Loach...

So the new kid.

She thought about turning and walking the opposite direction, but Loach's disappointment at her reaction to Clouse flashed through her mind. She sighed before straightening her shoulders and meandering up the riverbank, shooting for casual. "Hi," she said as she approached, heading more for the water to get a morning drink. At least this one was an age-mate.

Claw
Sleep-riddled limbs slowly trudged their way toward the edge of the river that flowed through the crew's neck of the woods, bowing his head to lap at the chilly water's surface with a thankful thought he hadn't needed to walk too far for a morning drink as well as do so undisturbed. Or, so he thought.

Claw hadn't a chance to finish his morning drink before an ebony ear twitched in response to the sound of an unfamiliar voice shattering the otherwise silent dawn, his tawny-lined emerald eyes shifting from where he stood along the riverbank to an agouti silhouette a small way down getting themselves a morning drink as well. Now he knew there was but a handful that made up the old man's little crew, but a yearling like himself was not something he expected.

"Mornin'." The young Archer finally responded after releasing a yawn and giving his coat a swift shake to rid the last invisible tendrils of sleep that wanted to continue clinging on. He made no attempt afterward to approach the other yearling, choosing to keep and observe from a comfortable distance although he didn't exactly get the vibe from this stranger that they were eager to get close to him first thing in the morning either. That was fine with him.
