RE: An ice storm has weighed down some of the older trees in The Heart, lookout for falling trees and branches!

It was a hard day, the weather had made sure of that. She was certain that they had not seen the worst parts of the storm, but it was still enough for her to bundle up within the corner of the den, staving off responsibility for at least a little while longer. It was something that had been happening more and more often, early bedtimes and late mornings… it was as if her entire schedule had switched, rather than working herself to the bone she felt more withdrawn, and was sleeping a lot.

She just wouldn’t call it what it was, and refused to let anyone else do so either. She heard someone else enter the den but just moved her paws overtop of her maw, trying to keep herself engrained in the small but warm corner she had crammed herself into. The path outside of the den was slippery at best and a nightmare at worse, the cold climate of the mountain and the lake ensuring that the ice would remain for quite some time.

Which meant that she would remain in the den for quite some time.

I hope its okay to put him in here <3

He missed summer. He missed the grass and the blue skies, and most of all the warmth. The warmth of a summer breeze back when everything seemed to have been easier. Little did the youth know that feeling would continue throughout his life. The cold seemed to bite harder with his thin frame. He couldnt keep as warm as he used to and wouldn't be able to until he put some more weight back on him. Because of this he frequently sought the shelter of the den throughout the day.

This time he came barreling in catching the ice that clung to the entrance. He slid down the tunnel almost slamming into the back wall. A small oof fell from his dark maw as he tried to regain his composure. The ebony child hoped no one was in there to see that circus act and a sense of embarrassment filled him as dual eyes adjusted enough to see a dark form tucked in the corner. The eldest Eastfall-Slayer child's ears fell back until the realization of who was in there with him dawned on him. Mat instantly perked back up and bounded over to his mother. "HI mama!" he said as he almost tackled her. He nudged into her attempting to wiggle his way under her paw so that he could adorn her maw with kisses.
