Eros tried to follow the way they had gone, to find some kind of trail that would tell him where his brother and his lover had gone. He had clearly waited too long however, as nothing could be found by the young Valle within the vicinity of Heartleaf Creek. He remembered Archer mentioning the Falls, made a note to check there next. Not knowing where his sibling had gone off to, not being able to check for himself that Archer was going to be alright even in the face of ramifications for his own actions, fed an anxiety within him that threatened to either overload Eros or shut him down altogether.
His muzzle was beginning to gather scratches in addition to the dirt and debris that collected from all the places he shoved it. Amongst roots and brambles, into mystery holes within the earth, anywhere that might hide the secret of where the misguided sweethearts were. There was no reward, not even the subtlest of clues. He pulled back, sneezed out dirt, and plopped his haunches down upon the ground with a scowl.
