<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Another land. More strangers. Another chapter of Tisa’s life.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>All over the place plants that grew small round fruit sprung from their mother Earth. The delicate scent of rabbit clung in the air between the leaves. The land was lush, vibrant, and full of life. A real paradise compared to the barren lands that had extended themselves to the she wolf. A light smile stretched across Tisa’s face in an expression of serenity. For a moment, she paused in the open landscape and let it sink in.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Then, she was off with one great push from her thick hind legs. Her silver-dusted body arched into the air with a catlike grace and all four paws left the soft tendrils of grass. From her vocals came a puppy y-like yip of spontaneous joy y. With a thud, Tisa landed. Collecting her body she pushed herself forward, running for joy. Her bony body moved fast for its size, jutting hipbones rotating and ribcage expanding to bring precious oxygen into her lungs. She ran until she grew tired, then flung onto the ground.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>To anyone watching it was a stupid display of childishness, but what did Tisa care? If these packs decided she was a nut like the ones of the past, she would just move on again. Besides, running was one of the only harmless activities associated with Tisa.</font>

<i><font style='margin-left:20px;'>Don’t you wanna play, Tisa baby?</font></i>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>There it was again, that pestering voice that came from within and was somehow completely her and completely not her. It was always commanding her to get into something. Well, why not? Lying in the grass panting, Tisa considered her options for pleasing her inner voice. Hunting a rabbit? No, no that wouldn’t do. Tisa craved more stimulating entertainment. She needed another wolf.
It was decided, then.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Sitting upright bits of grass clung to her fur. Throwing her large head back, she let out a howl asking for others to join in her company.</font>

Massive paws flattened precious emerald blades of grass as
the man propelled himself along. The air was fresh; crisp. His
pale green-teal eyes scanned around the fields, jaws parting to
test the air. The blackberries were ripening- perhaps he would taste
one? It had felt like what had been forever since he had some sort
of fruit. But then, the peace was interrupted.

A howl penetrated the air, meeting his right ear. A small, irritated growl
escaped the brute's throat as he tossed his head, looking around caut-
iously. Hmm? He continued to pad forward, weighted paws gingerly stepp-
ing now. Jedd's head raised upward now as he took a deep breath in. Another
wolf.
Oh joy. Just what he needed...

The deep gray-black man could see something in the distance- no, someone.
The scent told him that the wolf was a female, and he rolled his eyes. Pausing
now, the wolf gazed at the shewolf that had howled- why did she?

The pale she-wolf's spectacle had not gone unobserved. Spring had grown the grasses tall and the bushes full - finding shelter within the greenery was no hard feat at all. Behind a thick bush some several yards away crouched Ava, vibrant gaze peeking through the berry-laden branches. The distance was too great for her to get a good wiff but she could tell the female was new. Lone wolves always brought with them an intensely unique scent, their fur relatively untouched by the various territories of Relic Lore. Similarily they were usually malnourished - Ava had came into the Hush Meadow much the same way not too long before - and though the distance was too great for her to actually know, it did seem as though the leaping female was a tad too skinny for her size. But she did not lack anything in energy, Ava noted, watching her bound and bounce and yip with joy. Her own tail, hidden within the tall grasses, couldn't help but to wiggle at the freedom displayed in such a dance.

Once the female had ceased the Poison wolf took a step forward. She was intriguied, and temptation was no easy foe for her to ignore. But her movement stopped short. Ava was surprised to see her throw her head back and call into the sky - for what? There was no direct purpose; she was not quite seeking a home or help. Helplessly intriguied now, her howl drew Ava away from the bushes and through the tall grasses toward the stranger. At first her posture was entirely neutral, her head and neck at relatively the same level and her tail wavering level to her own back. No longer did she bother hiding her presence, knowing that her scent had become apparent just a few steps past the sanctuary of her bush. She had nothing to hide, nor did she want to frighten the paler wolf. Her pitch black fur was easy to spot among the tall grasses, but the risk was unneccesary.

But as she came upon the wolf panting in the grass her neutral stance changed, dropping her chest to the ground while her hindquarters wagged in the air. A sly smile appearing on her maw, Ava tilted her head and let out a woof of invitation. Her paws pressed in to the ground and her tail swung to-and-fro. She could go for some company, or some play, before returning to the Mountains.

For the moment the scent of her former packmate went, thankfully, unnoticed...

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Like clockwork, the others began to appear. Feeling powerful that she could have summoned these animals so easily Tisa lifted her emaciated body and held her head up high. Why not? There was no leader here, as far as she knew. Yellow eyes tracked the dark female who stepped from the cover of the foliage and wagged her tail. Tisa was pleased to see her submissive posture as she approached. Tisa barked at her, a light and airy sound, then shook to rid her pelt of the loose pieces of grass. </font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><i>See, Tisa? You knew you couldn’t resist.</i></font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>The other wolf dipped her bodice down in a playful stance and Tisa eagerly responded with a quick leap in the direction of the newcomer and placed herself upright a foot infront of her. Searing eyes locked onto the pair across from her as the tail behind her danced with a mind of its own in a friendly greeting. For moments Tisa stood statue still, hardly daring to breathe, waiting for the moment to playfully pounce the other</font>.

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>She never did tackle the other because something wasn’t quite right. Tisa felt something as if someone was watching them. It wasn’t impossible, she knew. Why couldn’t there be a stranger lurking in the shadows? As suddenly as it had began, Tisa broke her stare with the other wolf and twisted her head around, ears straining to catch any sounds and nose working in overdrive. The breeze brought her many scents, but that of a brute seemed strong. Turning, the wolf tried to pinpoint the source and thought she spotted a dark figure in the distance. </font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><b>“Come out, come out!”</b> Cried Tisa, convinced now that the figure was another wolf. It appeared that the stranger was looking right at her. Would he listen to her coaxing, or ignore her? She watched him, pausing only once to turn and gesture the dark female to her side</font>

"Come out, come out!"

Jedd felt his tail flick in annoyance. He emerged from behind a blackberry
bush, his eyes locked onto the female. Suddenly, a dark figure had appeared
near her- he recognized her as Ava. Whatever. He wasn't afraid. Jedd gave no
care to whether or not she was pissed at him.

Muscles rolled beneath his dark pelt as he continued forward now, approaching
the two females. His tail swayed to and fro as he walked, his face stoic. The crisp
spring air weaved through his pelt, right ear listening as birds began to sing. The
berries about were very enticing, but he would wait to eat one. Right now, this wolf
had to be investigated.

The silvery woman was acting playful, an almost pup-like stance to her. He tilted his
head lightly as he came to a slow. Jedd was now within twenty feet of the two wolven.
He released a small bark now, one that almost had a woof sound to it.

Ava was pleased to see her take a similar approach, her grin growing wider. The muscles underneath her black legs tensed as she prepared a counter-attack, keen gaze locked on to her mock-assailant. She'd be watching for whatever move was to come, expecting the unexpected as the saying went. But she failed completely at such a sentiment, for instead of launching in to play the pale stranger turned her head and called out to someone in the distance. Ava rose from her lowered stance and lifted her head, squinting to see who would approach.

Then the scent wafted toward her and an immediate anger shot through Ava. "<b>On second thought, better not,</b>" she growled, hackles raising. <i>Jedd</i>. Her tail rose high above her back, chest and head held dominantly. Curled lips displayed her kill-sharpened teeth, amber gaze narrow as she glared at his approach.

"<b>Fucking <i>traitor</i>,</b>" she spat, her voice so saturated with venom that it sounded nothing at all like the cheery, easy tones she usually spoke with. The more she thought about what he'd done the nastier her snarls grew - fucking bitched out while the wolf he'd sworn loyalty to was being attacked. Dipped out because he didn't <i>feel</i> invested in it while tiny Athena had leapt into the fray teeth first! And this mammoth had it in his mind that he could just <i>change</i> where his interests lie? He had no excuse, none at fucking all, and Ava damn well knew it. She'd had her own demons about the Poison Path's birth, but they had been exorcised one night among the Willows - with the help of the <i>very wolf Naira and Rhysis had betrayed</i>. There was literally nothing he could say for himself besides being an idiot and an asshole.

"<b>May somebody take mercy on you for being exactly the kind of coward you'd like to pretend you aren't. Self-righteous moron!</b>"

Oh, the emotional girl had a filthy and explosive mouth, the words leaping from her throat with daggers attached to them. It made her sick to smell Grizzly Hollow in his mangy scruff now. She'd damn well liked Arlette and Kade, but knowing <i>that</i> was where he had taken his tail-tucked sorry ass to tainted the light she'd taken to the Hollow wolves. Her venomous gaze was locked on to the male, and though she stood threateningly she didn't move yet. Ava hadn't quite decided if she was that aforementioned merciful wolf. Perhaps she would've easily been, had she not grown so close to Athena and Naira... but as it was, Ava had taken root. For the second the stranger was ignored - maybe she could just run him back to the damn Cedars and get on with it.

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Much to Tisa’s pleasure, the male wolf approached following her summons, however reluctantly. He seemed well enough, moving in an unassuming way. He hesitated still quite a distance away from them. Tisa was about to move forward and close the gap between them, but before she had so much as lifted one paw, her companion reacted.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><i>Looky there, Tisa, someone just as nutty as you. Shame she doesn’t seem as smart.</i></font>
<font style='margin-left:20px;'>The silver wolf stood and watched the change in demeanor of the dark wolf by her side. She exploded, launching into verbal assult of the male beyong their reach. Coward, self righteous moron was he? Interesting. Tisa noted the change in posture of her companion and adjusted herself as well. Her tail curled intself over her spine like a sled dog, chest stuck out like a solider. Fighting back her first reaction to yell at the disheveled bitch beside her (and she really, <i>really</i> would have liked too,) Tisa allowed herself to remain outside the fued momentarily.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>The bitch stopped yelling, her anger reined in. There was a pause.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><b>“Well, now,”</b> Tisa began, casting a mildly chiding glance at the dark wolf, <b>“That’s no way to behave infront of a new aquantaince.”</b> She paused. <b>“Besides, sounds like this bastard hasn’t had a chance to explain himself.</b> “ Tisa looked between the too, wondering just what had happened. Already she could guess; the bitch was mad at the “traitor,” when he was probably only looking out for his own hide. Who was to blame him? Tisa certainly didn’t. Turning with an arrogant, commanding air she commanded the dark wolf beside her.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><b>“Just calm the fuck down, bitch.”</b></font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'><i>Let the games begin.</i></font>

Jedd nodded curtly to Tisa- he liked her already. Stepping forward slowly now, his eyes narrowed as he spoke to Ava. "Now, now, calm down sweetheart. What's done is done. If I had known that Poison Path was created upon cowardice wolves leaving another pack without a word..." he was purposely saying all this for the new wolf to hear, "Then I would have never joined." He did not swear, no. He believed that curse words really did not get anyone anywhere, but instead muttled words of disgust- better language was to be used for such things. Tossing his head, he looked to Tisa now. "Sorry 'bout that, miss."

She was a pretty thing, and seemed to have spunk within her. No time for that. He did not know how Ava was to respond, so the large man had to stay on his toes. His hackles remained smooth as the tension seemed to grow. He was calm- perfectly calm. Why get frustrated? The female was obviously holding a grudge, and it would do her no good but to drive her crazy...which it already seemed to be doing. The way she sputtered out her curses towards him almost made him burst into a fit of laughter, but by biting his tongue, Jedd was able to hold himself back from doing so.

Eyes observed as the wolves seemed to grow dominant in their stances. His tail remained neutral as it had when he approached, his face still apathetic. He seemed to show no emotion at all, no anger nor haste within his voice. His mind was empty- there were no thoughts buzzing around like annoying bees in the summer. Jedd was in a state of relaxation.

Swinging her head at the paler wolf's first words, Ava fixed her poisonous stare on the cocky bitch. Her eyes could've popped out of her head at the way the newcomer had mimicked her stance, the way her snooty words made her hackles raise higher. Who the <i>fuck</i> did she think she was? A hideous rage started to flow through her veins, with every passing second she became more and more hot-blooded. She could sink her damn teeth into that exposed jugular in a moment, rip it out the way she did on a daily basis to all those mountain goats - the bitch was just as ugly as one.

One blink and it was gone, and instead of a horrifying snarl, a jovial laugh rang out from her throat. "<b>Stay the fuck out of this, loony bitch,</b>" she commanded, a crooked grin appearing on her face. "<b>Not my fault your ugly ass wound up in the middle, but it's certainly in your power to turn tail and get out.</b>" That taken care of, she took a proud step toward Jedd with her tail an unwavering black banner risen above her.

"<b>Would've never joined,</b>" she echoed mockingly, pacing away from the both of them. The thirst of blood was fast growing in her jaws but she knew better than to attack Jedd when there was an unhinged skeleton of a wolf on his side. Her heart was hammering with rage, the adrenaline well swimming within her, but as it was no longer on the rise she found it easier to focus and formulate what she was going to say. "<b>No, but I suppose to repeat the pattern was in good taste? It made more <i>sense</i> to your set of morals to dishonor the word you gave just because they wanted to start a family?</b>" Her words hung in the air with potential at the end, as though there was more she had intended to say, but Ava fell silent, meeting his green gaze with her own amber fire.

She did not, however, turn her back on nor forget about the pale idiot closer to her. Ava certainly wanted her to get the fuck out, but somehow she had the feeling that the troll would prefer to get her mangy muzzle in the middle of it.

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Tisa giggled as she watched the seen unfold before her. Of course the brute was on her side, how could he not be? She listened as the male graciously spelled out the story for her and it made Tisa full out laugh. They were fighting over his changing packs? Tisa found herself dissapointed that the male would engage himself in such petty affairs. Still, she nodded and accepted his apology. She admired his cool demeanour and decided to take note. She relaxed her stance, adopting instead the cool pose of the male.</font>

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Then the female turned on her, and Tisa could hardly contain herself. Her eyes shone with anticipation. It was almost too easy. Insults hurled across the air from the bitch’s mouth and Tisa’s only emotion was loud, giddy laughter. Did she find herself intimidating? Outnumbered and outsmarted, the female was brave to be so brash. Now that Tisa knew that the other wanted her gone it was sure to be the last thing that would happen. She watched as the female began to pace before them and spew forth more nonsense</font>.

<font style='margin-left:20px;'>Rising with excitement, Tisa’s tail waved like a flag signaling the beginning of a race… or in this case, a fight. She darted infront of the female.<b> “Ohhhh no, little girly. Did the big bad wolf hurt your feelings?” </b>She mocked, then doged out of her way and retreated before leaping forward again. This time, she snapped her sharp teeth in the face of the other and snarled, but she had no intention of biting. It was only a mocking gesture.</font>

<b>“Girly hates the big bad wolf,”</b> she sang as she retreated again. <b>“Poor girly can’t grow up, poor girly hasn’t seen the world, la de da.”</b>
