RE: Spring showers have come early, resulting in heavy downpours throughout Relic Lore.

March 19th; Late afternoon; Overcast skies, scattered Clouds in distance; 37.31 ° F, 2.95° C.

Since spending the night with Nia Hervok, Ipnos had done his best to dust himself off and collect himself. It was all for a bit of fun, anyway, they had agreed. No strings attached, no commitment or promises. Even if he had been taken by her charms, he had to admit to himself that he could not imagine ending up with a woman like her. He suspected it had something to do with his sense of self-worth or confidence, but he could not be certain. Either way, it was all in the past now.

He had been enjoying a bit of lunch when the clouds rolled in. By the time he had gotten to his last goose egg, he was unceremoniously soaked. "Ah, Mother Nature," he spoke to the surrounding forests and, yet, no one in particular. He licked the rain from the eggshell then sighed, "Guess that's my cue to get goin', hm?"

A dry chuckle left him as he attempted to pick up the last of his meal. The first one had been a lucky find. A freak of nature. Small and able to be stolen away in the jowls of a predator. This one was, well, normal. "Bah," he sounded, lowering his head now to start rolling the thing.

Beneath a low-hanging red oak bough, he knocked the goose egg into an exposed root. Ipnos settled onto his haunches, ducking under his makeshift shelter. He sighed again, doing nothing but staring out at the rainfall.
