The other didn't quite seem to believe him, which Jadon supposed was to be anticipated. His smile grew a little at Mika's expression of doubt, as he tried to let himself just enjoy the moment. To let it be just what it was, instead of worrying about what they'd probably actually think if he ever actually did explain it. Although, if Mika hadn't been driven off by what he'd said earlier, perhaps there was a chance.

And there was certainly only one way to know.

Goin' to the forest for a little bit, comin' back soon. See ya again sometime...

"It was nice to meet you, too. And.. I'd like that," he spoke softly, although it was perhaps the most genuine hope he'd expressed in a long while. His journey towards forgiveness was so close to finally being done. And if he managed to find what he needed, perhaps having something close to a friend waiting on the other side would be a good thing.
