RE: A late season snow storm takes Relic Lore by surprise, take cover!
Finally, they’d decided to descend the mountain and enter more familiar territory. The woods were new, but at least they were more comfortable, with softer ground underfoot and trees surrounding them instead of rocks. They still didn’t go too far off, but they wanted to wander a bit - if the mood took them back to the mountain, then they would go.
Mika’s paws had taken them westward this time, following along a river as they went. They had no goal in mind, no destination, but they were happy for the treetops offering some solace from the sudden blanket of snow that had fallen over the land.
It took them a while before they found anything they deemed interesting - a bend in the river that took them down past a little waterfall and stopped at a frozen pool. Mika hummed to themself, curious, and slowly made their way over to the edge of the pond. Testing their weight, they took a few steps out onto the ice, tail swirling for balance as they felt themself slide a little.
Hey, maybe they could make a game outta this?
