Reed Acoy
Early afternoon after a light rain.
Reed enjoyed the rain. He never hid away from it. For some reason, he liked to be near water when the rains decided to fall. Watching the droplets attack the body of water was something soothing to him. And so, he was attracted to the nearest source of water: Bramble Falls.

He was seated quietly by the edge of the water, pelt coated in a thin layer of water. His russet-red fur now took on a deep rust color as it always had when wet. His face was stoic; no emotion was to be read off it. Pale golden gaze watched the water as it flowed by; the turbulence slow and relaxing. With a flick of his tail, the older man rose up to his paws, lowering his head slowly to the water. Tongue slipped from his powerful jaws as he lapped at the water. Keeping his head lowered, his gaze focused upon dark shapes within the water- trout? Salmon? Hell, he couldn't tell. They were all fish to him, and delicious at that.

The thought of fishing pulled at him, and he was deciding whether or not to give in to it. So far, Reed was having luck with prey in this huge, vast territory. He had caught a fat groundhog not too far off from here, and it was absolutely delicious. Perhaps the fish would be the same...

It had not been long since her venture to the falls, where she had met a fellow recruit (Remy) which ended also in a successful hunt. Despite having a handful of faithful followers, to the woman's dismay, the whole protect was going slower then she had originally hoped for. All was well, with much success with those interested, but some had faltered..Kyrie, missing. Alexander seemingly gone as quickly as he had 'died' before. Maybe this time, he would be dead to the world for good....
A muffled sigh escapes her and although she does not bother to linger of where Koda and Remy had gone off to for the day, she makes off with her own. After all, despite her determination to succeed as a pack leader, she as of yet was still a rogue. And here she came, to view the fellow Reed, contemplating fishing by the water's surface. Having met Remy here before, she had caught the girl trying out for the same act, only to be a failure at it, with little patience for the art much as Elettra's own self.
Though she views the russet and rusty colored male, for the time being, says nothing. She had never been a woman to jump up with direct conversation to a stranger and thus, would merely move to the water's edge at he, dipping her muzzle downward for a sip. Her attention, however, remained on the older male in questionable interest.

Reed Acoy
The falls soothed Reed as he stood, eyes still watching the shadows of the fish within the water. Pointed ears twitching, he turned his head slowly as a dark-furred woman slid into view. She dipped her head downward, lapping at the cool water as he did a moment again. Flicking his tail, he turned his frame slightly, bowing his head to her. "G'day, ma'am." He was polite when he wished to be. By polite....he meant mostly to ladies. He believed each deserved to be treated like a princess until they proved themselves otherwise.

With quiet eyes Reed studied her. She seemed a bit slender like he; Reed assumed she was a loner. He wondered briefly if many wolves come to these falls- if so, he would be in for meeting many other brethren. He stood in the soft soil along the bank, eyes falling back to the fish as he awaited a returned greeting. Perhaps she wouldn't reply at all...maybe she was the quiet type. She did not greet him first, after all, but that did not offend him whatsoever.

She did not openly come to wolves she did not known, usually leaving with a smart caution and an ability to allow herself time to judge enough by body language before rushing up upon someone she knew nothing of. So, when he greeted her and, ever so politely, she figured, with this, he was not a threat- or at least not an immediate threat that would send her ether packing or send her fighting. In fact, when he spoke, despite his thickened southern tones, it was proper with it's politeness as well. The loyal blooded woman took careful consideration of such things, where slag turns and broken, mangled English was for the use of a common dog then anyone worth considering a wolf. These thoughts likely stemmed with her ill temper towards hybrids and half-breeds. She longed to live amongst her brethren, not some mutt by he product of rape by a deranged wolf's attempts at a man's best friend.
So, with his manners, followed by the dipping of his muzzle, did her head rise, silken black ears perking forth upon her skull, a salmon tongue lolling from her mouth to lick at her dripping chin. She pauses enough to allow his eyes to roam her- the darker tones of her fur, half mingled with black and the other with a multitude of greys. Had it not have previously rained, a bright sunny day would have otherwise shown the golden highlights of her coating. She was far from a patchwork of perfection, thinking her coating average then anything, as her medium build. But there was an unmistakable power in her curvy figure that to her standards, matched little.
Elettra Archer would bow her chin downwards then in a return, her pale grey bored into the pale gold of his own before once more sweeping the length of his figure. A medium build, far from some of the tanks she had seen in the lands, smaller then Koda, even, but with a level body of power which mimicked her own. Still, his colors of russet and red, rusty with it's dampening, caught her attention from the lands otherwise timbers, whites and creams splashed with peppering. "Hello to you, as well." She responds with a curl of her tongue, her darker tones a flow with the falls.

This lady did not seem bad at all. Turning his body slightly toward the water, he watched the fish swim against the current. "What's a lady such as yourself doing alone?" Raising a brow, he slowly brought his head around as his waned yellow eyes peered at her. She seemed like a lovely woman in build and perhaps strength. He figured she would most certainly be apart of a pack, but she appeared to be a lone wolf- the slightly showing ribs screamed of it all.

The sun disappeared behind the clouds, and Reed grunted in annoyance. Better not rain again, dammit, he thought, feeling the humidity in the air grasp at his coat. Generally enjoying the rain, it only aggravated him when the humidity was hanging still in the air. Hunger dug at his stomach, and watching this fish was driving him up the wall. He did not want to be rude and dive into the water as the lady was talking.

And so, he decided to go the polite route. "Hungry?" He gazed at the dark pelted one before looking back to the scaly, finned creatures within the cool waters.

"Such as myself?" She questioned first, wondering what he could mean by this and, with the question, a smirk forming over her expression. She was far from a mignon woman, small and pretty, delicately pretty even. No- she was one hundred pounds flat and although this was not huge, she was not the tall, thinly curved and elegant beauty made of only limbs and flowing furs. She was well built, lush and thick coated with nothing of particular flawlessness in color. A was malted, after all, even if her furs were thick and plush. More Amazonian is ways, then the frame Damsel in Distress. She spoke proper and held herself with a regal air, but was nothing in her delicate and in need of a man's helping paw.
However, she did not take offense to the words he spoke quite so, but merely in interest of what he might say about her retort. "...And what makes you certain I'm alone?" She pushes forth still in her teasing. Yes, true, she was alone at the given moment, but even as a rogue she had those who watched her back, and she had watched theirs. Though she had originally harbored more followers, with time she was left with but two: Koda and Remy, who had thus remained faithful to her. And then, he questioned her hunger, turning his attention to the water in which her gaze did the same...
”You fish?” She asks, her tones growing highest just the slightest to show her obvious interest. She'd never held the patience for such a waiting game as fishing entailed. She much rather enjoyed the rush of the run, the danger of a kill with the ability to harm you as much as you could harm it. Fish were a rare taste for her, a difference she took to every so often, but never bothered to seek out for herself unless she became desperate likely to only come by the inability to hunt as she normally did. With her twisted ankle from her former hunt with Remy, fishing would have been easier on her where she had only to stand then to run. However, with the two goats killed, Elettra and Remy had managed to make the food last quite awhile and had yet to hunt since then. The very thought had her stomach growling.

Turning his gaze back onto her, he did not reply to her question right away. Such as myself? Don't play coy. She was a lovely woman, coated in fur the color of a raven, her curves screaming woman. With a smirk on his face, he replied to her. "Well, I just figured such a lovely woman would be accompanied by others, that is all." Honesty tainted his tones, and he shrugged his shoulders in a casual manner. Reed was not a fantast; he never thought of himself with a woman. He treated them kindly; with respect. He just couldn't see himself.... loving one.

"Mind if I ask, miss....are there others with you at this moment?" With this question, his yellow eyes peered around, attempting a "Where's Waldo" sort of approach. Hiding behind trees? Hiding behind rocks? No...he didn't see any other wolf. What exactly did she mean, then? Not wanting to dabble any further into his questions, he decided that if she wanted to talk, she would.

Oh, yes. He was quite the fisher. He enjoyed the flavor of the finned creatures; they tasted unique in comparison to the hoofed mammals he typically dined upon. Nodding lightly, he let his eyes settle back on the water. "Indeed, I do." He stood patiently now, eyes glued to the water. He awaited an unlucky fish to pass as well as awaited replies from the lovely dark lady.

And she, much the same. When the lands filled with lovers and die heart wolves longing to find the 'one', Elettra had tossed aside such fantasies in order to spend her time grasping for something more real. Not to say that love was not true when it happened, nor that she was incapable of love, herself, but that one might have to find themselves trying much harder then offering false promises and dishing out petty complements in order to 'woo' the woman. She required something much deeper then this. So, to his complements of her, she only shrugged her shoulders: she had yet to be flattered.
"No." She finely did then reply, flatly, but not without a smirk upon her lips. Though she had obtained followers (Koda, Remy, and seemingly Kyrie but without having seen her in time) none of them were with her now. Without being a formal pack as it were, keeping tabs on others without territory or ranking system was nearly impossible. They knew of the area which she was interested in (the willowed lands) but nothing had been made official as it were. "...I have never held the patience for the art." She whispers, as though by her whisper, it would be less likely to scare the creatures from under the waters surface. As Reed pauses, stilling himself within the water, Elettra slowly slides downward onto her belly by the water's edge. She knew nothing she could do, but to keep herself from gaining any of the creatures attention and so, simply sat and watched, and learned.

Like an earthen statue the russet man stood, pale gaze locked upon the slowly moving waters. Patience was something he was gifted with; this was what made him such a good fisherman. A shadow moved past, but it was too small to even bother catching. That fish would get to live another day...unless there was a bear downstream. Almost smiling at his thoughts, he suddenly snapped back to reality as a fat trout came his way.

Holding his breath, the red man dove. His eyes closed as he made contact with the water. Head slipped in, splashing a bit, but not enough to cause a shower of droplets in the rain-cooled air. Lifting his head back up, he was soaked but victorious. The rainbow toned fish hung from his jaws, spazzing every couple of moments. Snapping down upon the head, the slippery creature finally stopped moving.

Grinning through the scales, he lowered the fish at the ebon woman's paws. "Help yourself if you'd like" Turning back to the water, he waited once more before grabbing at another fish with his quick jaws. Another trout. He ended its life quickly, beginning to snap up the fleshy fish. Delicious.

He was good. Better then she had expected. Though watching him, the woman seemed to lax a bit in her lay, her head falling down to rest upon her outstretched forelimbs, which now dipped into the water but did not move, should the movement scare the fish. There was a distance between her and this russet colored man if only to keep his focus upon the underwater prey.
As time passed, he was no more then a figure in a painting of the backdrop of the world: the flowing lake before in narrowed into the rivers and streams and creeks which flowed over Relic Lore. ...The falls, a pounding of raging water across the other side of the pool, dropping off the mountains which raised high into the greying (and growing ever more grey) skies....
By the time he had caught something, her attention snapped fully back into place, body tensing in alertness and weary nature due to his sudden movement, his head plummeting in a stream-line motion directly into the water and, moments later, retrieving a large, multi-colored fish. Before she knew it, he was settling the dead river animal at her paws with an offering. A smirk touched her expression, wondering what the stranger might want in return. Elettra did little of anything for free and did not expect the same from anyone else, even if a time or two before it had been given. After all, Reed was a rogue and in just as much of a need for food ad she had been.
However, as the russet and rusty colored wolf moved back off to the water, once more taking up his frozen stance, Elettra Archer would not object: she ate it, all of it. By the time she was finished pealing away the layer of scales (something that would surely take her much more time then he, as she was not a fisherman) from the fish, he had already managed to catch another. From here in their placement, the couple both dined along the lake-side view. There was nothing easier to get close to a wolf then to hunt with (or having been hunt for) another.
