Narimé Lagina
December 4th Morning.
Note: Just before Nari leaves to go out hunting at Fireweed Rise.

Two limp skinny mice hung from her jaws. It wasn't even enough to feed one wolf let alone a whole pack. Narimé padded over to where one of the caches should have been then looked around surprisd at the clear space within the den. There was no food there, none left even from the moose hunt which seemed so long ago. Is it because there are more mouths to feed? Nari crinkled her nose into a snarl angry at herself for not working harder.

There was really no reason to blame herself for the food shortage as she did. Most wolves have a hard time finding foood during winter, but the young hunter was determined to head out and find something big that she could lead the pack to for a hunt. Maybe an elk or a deer? She thought hungrily.

Dropping her tiny catch into the back of the den where a few other morsels still remained Narimé turned tail and headed back out again. As quickly as she had come the silvery girl was gone once more working hard for her pack mates.

Narimé Lagina
December 18th, 2012
Note: She has been resting and healing her injuries from the cave incident.

That deep dark place. It both haunted her dreams and captured her imagination. Yawning off the sleepyness from her face Narimé layed her head back upon her long legs. She had just dreamed and the uneasy feelings of the dream were still left within her body. The awe she felt inside the huge cave, and the fright from dwelling within its dangerous darker depths. Though the dream had ended well with her imagination taking her to some flowering forest. Disposing of those uneeded feelings Nari looked around at the den wondering how early she had awoken. It seemed like she had slept in again. The sun shown brightly from the den entrance and the den looked mostly empty. Sighing softly the silver wolf hoped that soon Elettra would give her a clean bill of health and release her from the confines of the den area. She longed to get out and run again.

Elettra and Kyrie were taking good care of her now that she was back in the pack. Nari was sure they would never let her leave now. They would probably be too afraid of her getting hurt again. Maybe she would go out and hunt a little to make sure she was at her best. Narimé wanted to take Rose out hunting again, and maybe Kyrie too. The silver wolf had not hunted with her two friends for a while. Plus she felt bad about not being able to help fill the caches. She imagined they were still low but hoped that hunting had gone better for her pack mates.

"Hey anyone there? I'm really bored..." She woofed while looking for her pack mates. Why was it they were never in the den?

Skana Coho
Slowly Skana neared the den, each uneven step more tedious than the last. She looked tired, bedraggled and thin, her pearly eyes unfocused and glossy. The scent of fish lingered about her, having finally eaten what had meant to be a gift to the pack so that she'd have enough energy to return. The old wolf had been gone days, lost in the marsh and only finding the Ridge territory as she was hanging on by a thread. She hadn't bothered to howl for anyone, knowing if she couldn't even make it back to the den herself there wouldn't be anything anyone could do to help anyways. So she had trudged on, and was never more glad to see the shelter of the rocky den than she was now.

Skana's paws ached as she scuffed them over the ground, but lifting them much higher took effort she simply didn't have. Like a plane crashing in slow motion into a hangar, the elder slowly descended, crawling the last few steps as she lie down within the shade of the den. Her stomach gurgled hungrily, but her tired eyes won out this time. Unable to stay awake any longer she dozed off, her rumbling snores the only sign the battered old wolf hadn't kicked the bucket.

Inactive VIII. Yearling
Calla Lyall

So this was her new home, a place living under a dark female that her parents had known. Calla still harbored thoughts of venturing over the mountains to find Taima, to reunite with the elder sibling she had lost so long ago. But those were weak for the moment, as she had to make sure she would survive the trip to the east, over an impassible mountain, and into a world completely unknown to her. First things were first, Calla had to get to know her pack mates. She had to learn the names of those she would be sharing a home with. Besides, Elettra had mentioned her uncle Angier..Maybe she could reconect with some member of her family. The pale yearling ventured closer into the common grounds of the pack after having been escorted back by Kasai. Was she going to fit in here? She hoped so.

The yearling lowered her head and let her nose lead her around the clearing until she found a stick with evidence that it had been a plaything for some other wolf. Since it now lay abandoned, the girl occupied herself by pinning one end between her front paws and chewing on the other. It gave her something to do and also helped clean her teeth of the remnants of her last meal. Both of which were good things, at least as far as she figured. Golden eyes swept the empty area as she chewed happily on the stick. Well, perhaps not happily, but it would entertain her for a time.

Elettra Archer
Pregnancy was, to say the very least, horridly tiring... She remembered it being as such as she had endured pregnancy twice before this time around. Still, she was no more used to the strain in her body. The first few weeks did little to keep her down, though now as she was swiftly approached the half-way point, she was not only showing signs of children within her stomach, but signs of a pregnant woman's rage and hunger. Still the snows pushed on, still there was little food to come by and yet still did Skana's death sting her ever so deeply. She would not be here this time around to guide her children properly and as effectively as she had before. There was still @Guiness and this time she had @Angier at her side to help her with guarding and training the new pups. Elettra craved for the sun. Craved for the foliage to return her and once more venture out on her own for herbs she had long since not had within her Infirmary.
Sighing out a pain of twisted gut from the stirring of the hungry children inside her, she edged into the pack's main portion of the den. She nosed at some greenery she had collected earlier, eating it with a bitter expression on her features in hopes that it might slate her desires at least for the time being. She falls then, laying with a heavy flop on the den flowing and situating herself until she is tightly settled in a dark ball. She was of little company now whilst in such sour moods.

Adelaide Belrose
Since her meeting with Senka, Adelaide had finished her own little medicine palace. It was not elaborate in any sense of the word, but was certainly wide enough for three wolves, if not for the medicine that would eventually take the place of a third body. She frequented her little den, though she had since taken up residence sleeping within the pack's den. It had little use currently. She had been keeping a small ditch of water filled, but had yet to truly come across any living herbs that were of use. As she dropped another pile of snow into her tiny pond, she slid forth from her own infirmary, and after shivering slightly as she emerged into the shadow of the willow she'd dug around, moved towards the pack den.

Although she had spoken with Angier post-arriving, she had yet to truly encounter Elettra. And, while she was a bit more cautious of this encounter than of her meeting with Angier, Adelaide was certain that this was something she needed to do. The Lady must be with child now, and as a second healer of the Ridge, she needed to be a second pair of eyes...If Elettra would let her. Not that Addie believed anything would be the matter, but with the winter having been so harsh, another glance with silver eyes could do no harm. The scent of the dark woman was strong as she moved towards the entrance, and before entering, she spoke out a request, "Might I enter?"

Elettra Archer
For some time she laid there, silent, stilled. Her nose winkling itself into the long hairs of her tail. It was yet still fluffy and brilliant in dark hue as she was still so, made now of mostly fur, skin, bone and tiny children...winter and now, her kids, sucked all away from her but her very existence. She shifted only to the sound of anothers voice - distant. Elettra was half asleep when she heard Addie's words, away from her, yet caught still. A sharp twitch of her ears was given and soon, eyes opened. Elettra did not move, though her silver attention met the equally silver of Adelaide's own. "If it pleases you..." The words drifted out in a muffle from under her own tail and after a few moments to view the other woman's reaction, her had would lift up but she otherwise kept laid where she was.

Elettra Archer knew little of the Adelaide woman savor her name and that she could use medicinal herbs in the same manner for which Elettra could. Even this much about the girl Elettra only knew due to what Angier had told her. Their meeting prior had been very brief, Angier merely seeking permission to accept due to Elettra's former thoughts to keep all loners facing closed doors. Now new bodies could equally be looked at as food...yet again as Skana's death plagued her, now a soul dare touch the corpse of Elettra's former Second and Advisor. For a time, Elettra is silent, only watching the other healer, wondering if she might be as good as her own self...

Adelaide Belrose
Her ears lifted uncertainly, able to hear stirrings from within the shadowed space, but unable to yet hear a voice. Butterflies seemed to sprout from their cocoons within her belly, stretching their wings and unsettling their host. But she did not have to wait too long to hear a voice come forth, and with a smile, she ducked her head. Moving forward into the space, she edged about the wall opposite Elettra. In the pale light, she thought she could hear her own heart beating, and the breath of her leader, slow and even, as though she'd been resting. Adelaide settled back upon her haunches, ears slowly edging back along her skull. It was hard not to be cautious around this woman, for Adelaide thought she was quite self-confident, unwavering in her decisions and thoughts. Of course, that was absolutely fine, but as Addie had not yet become familiar with the woman, it caused a deal of distress from within. The woman had not truly accepted her, but had simply given a word as though Adelaide was some parasite that might inevitably be washed away in the spring floods.

"I hope you're faring well, Elettra." Adelaide tested the waters with her words, nostrils flaring as she caught the scent of bitter herbs and writhing bodies. Though even in the faint light, it was clear that the woman was with child. This left Adelaide truly walking upon glass, though it was still her intention to act as that second pair of eyes. But she also did not want to present some unconscious threat to the woman, though it was likely that she could still overcome Adelaide, even in her current state.

Elettra Archer
There was something inside Elettra that stirred. Something ill and hateful. It happened not when Adelaide slowly made her way into the pack den, being mindful to keep her distance by settling along the other wall. Instead it happened when she spoke, the words causing a silent snarl to settle on Elettra's expression. Her teeth flashed towards the other woman in a spat of both mourning and swirling hormones. In this darkness, likely it would be left unseen... Had Adelaide been blind to what was happening this Winter? Did she not suffer in the same manner as everyone else, or did she harbor some kind of secret stash of food or power that kept her hunger at bay and mood alive with fire, unlike that of smoldering ash and smoke for which Elettra had become?

Elettra really wanted to get to know Adelaide and Coquina. Surely she did, as their leader - know their histories, their interests, abilities, goals...Yet the distance between her and them was so very obvious. Elettra had simply lost too much and only now expected the worst. Only now expected that they too would leave, if they did not die firstly. Even Senka, who had joined before the deaths, was not as close to Elettra as those before her: as Narcissa, as Semananti, as Tempest, as Skana, as @Hotei... all lost to her now. "My long standing Second and Advisor has died..." She speaks delicately, a vileness seeping from her words. "...I am starving and my new pups are taking everything left in me. How do you think I fare?" Her words snapped, ending with a growl. Even still, Elettra kept her placement, tightly balled up along the back wall as she tested Adelaide's will to be here as she had tested it prior. There would never be someone who could replace those she lost. Now any that could replace Remy or Kanosak before that, both lost and dead as well. Still, if the woman was willing to try, hard, something might stem between them worthy of all the strife to get there.

Coquina Ladios

The off-gray woman walks slowly into the clearing, a rabbit hanging limp from her jaws. She was tired. If she were human, she'd likely have bags beneath her eyes. Her tail remains low as she strides over to the nearly empty cache pile. Quin lowers her head, plopping the rabbit down before she turns away from it. She could hear voices. A short growl sounded, and Quin's ears twitched in curiously. She turns her head slightly to the left to look, but suddenly seats herself on the ground.

She wanted to nap, but if any wolf were to speak to her, she'd certainly reply. Her lids flicker as she lays down now, resting her head on her paws. She would hunt again in a bit.
