Inactive II. Subordinate
Volkan Aquila

She almost wasn't sure if Nina would follow her. A few moments ago she had turned her back on Sloane and had headed through the trees. He seemed like a polite enough male, and she doubted he'd stick around after being asked for privacy. Just to be sure, though, the weathered female picked her way closer inward toward the Creek and then stopped, waiting to see if Nina would follow.

She stood there simply, waiting for her packmate, but her mind was ablaze with thoughts and worries. While she knew it was irrational, the idea that had popped into her head was impossible to ignore. That male, that rainy day in the Thicket...

Of course, she couldn't be sure until she heard it from Nina herself. That is, if the female even wanted to talk to her about it. Maybe they weren't the best of friends, but Volkan needed to know. An austere darkness washed over her expression as she stared through the trees like a statue, waiting for Nina to arrive.

She was her Second now and Nina couldn’t deny anything that she wanted. It took her awhile to start moving again though, and she felt bad for making the younger female waiting for so long. She couldn’t help her slow pace though, it only added onto her sadness. A limp was easily noticeable in her step and it was hard for her to walk properly.

The other brown female had easily taken off without a second glance at Nina, hoping that she would follow, and it was exactly what Nina had done, but her paw steps hadn’t been as quick as the other female. She couldn’t run or trot or do anything of the long walking she used to do. Right now she had to stick to walking slowly and limping the whole way there. At least she had the lady’s scent to follow though. . .something Nina could be extremely happy about.

Soon enough, she arrived at the Creek, exhaustion creeping into her limbs. Not worrying about submission this time, she simply lay down and put her head on her paws. Deep breathes and sighs erupted from the golden brown female’s maw. The walk here was enough to wear her out and she had to force her eyes to stay open as she looked at her pack mate. "Volkan," was the simple word that she stated in greeting to the other female.
It seems when you're around, my life is complete.
