The benefits of climbing the mountains would be great, but for a lone wolf of Cessair's age and ability, it was simply an impossibility. Instead, the little girl settled on heading southwest. That way, she could miss the unfriendly forest without fully turning away from the mountains, and still explore new territory. As she once again set off, she quizzed herself on what she was taught about herbs today, making sure to keep an eye and a nose out for any valerian on her way, just to practice identifying it.

Looking into the female's bright green eye, Cessair smiled, her own eyes reflecting her sadness that she now had to leave. <b>"Thanks again. I wish you and your pack well, and I trust that we will meet again. Goodbye."</b> With that, the little wolf turned from her new friend and retreated back into the undergrowth. She let her feet carry her where they would while she slipped into deep thought. For once, though, the wanderings of her mind were not dark, but rather full of ease and joy. Finally, Cessair had made a great bound forward in extinguishing her visions, and had also made a trustworthy friend along the way.
