Aki entered a field of flowers, Fireweed Rise. It was a gorgeous sight. Full of red flowers, but it reminded him of the blood bath for power back at the Lakota Tribe. It was sickening. He hated it. Yet, this place was peaceful, no matter how peaceful, it couldn't stop bringing back old memories, haunting memories.

On February 18th 2010, the Lakota tribe alphas, as they called it a tribe, or pack as we call it, Alia and Night, were blessed with a litter of five pups. Three males and two females. They named the eldest Toby. The other two males were Poseidon and Artemis. The two females were Emerald and Fallow. His littermates and Aki, who was Toby at the time, grew and were restless, wanting to go outside the birthing den, when one day, they were allowed out. They stared to play fight and Night saw great potential in his eldest, Toby. He managed to win against his brothers and sisters at play-fighting. He ran on his parents praise. He became arrogant and Artemis managed to sneak a blow in that led to Toby losing one fight. After that, he ran not on arrogance, but on his mind, developing strategies for each size and strengths and differences of each wolf.

The grew to become yearlings. Learning to hunt, Aki again excelled, catching hare's like crazy compared to Emerald, who was only a worse hunter then Aki in they're litter. She grew mad and angry, a feud started between them. It got to the point where Emerald set a trap for Aki, to kill him, but instead Poseidon was caught in it. Aki was hunting near-by and heard a yelp in pain from his younger brother. Aki was a noble and loyal wolf. His instincts to help and protect kicked in and he ran as fast as the wind, trying to get to Poseidon before it was to late. But alas, he was. When Aki got there, his younger brother was going to the stars.

Aki carried his brother back to they're parents. He explained that he fell into a trap, it looked to be human work. He didn't realize Emerald had done this. His siblings, parents and Aki himself mourned his death. Staying with Poseidon's body all night. After his actions served the pack well, he became a Subordinate. All his siblings still Yearlings, they were jealous. Emerald plotted again, challenging Aki to a rank challenge. He won, barely even trying. His sister was the weakest fighter of the litter. He challenged a Guardian to a rank challenge before long. They fought for it. Aki was neck and neck with Strike, the Guardian. He managed to beat him, he was promoted to Guardian. Later in the year, Night and Alia disappeared, not dead. Well then the seconds took they're place as alphas. Aki becoming a second with Rose, another wolf. They were friends, but no more. Then, the alphas disappeared and he became Alpha. He discovered that Emerald caused the disappearances. When he called a meeting and confronted Emerald. She accused him of giving an enemy pack food from Lakota lands. He denied it.

The truth was, Emerald and Strike were seconds. They plotted against him and Rose. They showed the tribe fake evidence. She challenged his leadership and a fight came down, the duel they'd both been waiting for. Aki hurt Emerald badly after she confessed about killing Poseidon, only he could hear it. Strike jumped it after he hurt Strike's mate and his sister Emerald. Strike attacked viciously, he clawed, leaving a scar reaching from Aki's cheek to the back of his neck. After the fight, Aki and Rose were driven from the Lakota lands. They were chased separately and he hasn't seen her since. He later learned that Artemis and Follow left to. He started to search for them.

Toby had been on his own for 3 months, he was in the southern part of Manitoba. He scented a pack, packs weren't common in the area, he waited on the border, for hours and hours on end. When the leader of the pack found his scent. She had a sharp tongue, but a clever mind. She saw his strength, loyalty. He was accepted as a Subordinate. After a month or two of service, he had challenged a Guardian to his rank. He fought, it seemed like for days. It was a half and hour. Finally, he came out on top, he was promoted to guardian. He was a loyal pack member, doing the alphas will. Shortly after the pups and female alpha were allowed to leave the birthing den, the alpha's grew more conspicuous. They thought he was to strong, not many wolves could beat they're guardians. He had been promoted to beta shortly before this discussion. He was so young, but so powerful.

So they made a choice, one that his birth pack had made, but handled in a different fashion. While Toby was asleep, they up and left, waking to the pack, pups, all of them gone. Even the one he loved. He was angry, lashing out, it seemed like he was a mad wolf. Mad as in being insane. All wolves stayed away from his den, but he continued forward, once again, he was alone. Until a short month after, near Relic Lore, he found yet another pack. He talked with they're leaders, he gave the name Toby Loch and they had heard of it. They chased him from the territory, chased him to his limits of insanity and reality. He, instead, sat for a few days, calming down. He had decided. It was his nae that cursed him. He then became, Aki Storm.

<blockquote>It had been a casual stroll across the length of these new lands. Mostly he chose to relish in the quiet of the days he now spent with nothing more to carry him his own whims. He was certain that there would come a time when he needed more than his own company to keep him busy, but for now he was comfortable, elated even, to be able to do whatever he liked without the eye of another watching him. It was not the first step he had taken in recovery, but he was certainly finding it pleasant with all sense of duty bound pressure abated. He had expected more pressure from himself than anything, and as of yet, he was delighted to find that his worries had been for naught. No, Artuo was quite content in his strolling. And he would like to keep it that way for as long as possible, even if the creeping thoughts would begin to consume him again, at least he would have a break for sanity.

It was these strollings that had brought him to the edge of a knoll, and with the knoll came the all consuming sight of flower upon flower upon flower. It would be a rather startling sight, breathtaking to those who were from the northern end of the continent, for those who were not used to such things. As it was, he did find the field to be quite a beautiful sight, however the things he was unaccustomed to involved cold that made certain appendages jump to the warmth of his body. His lip curled in a faint look of distaste at the thought of an oncoming winter. He detested the winter. So it was little surprise that he spent as often as he could out amidst the rays of sun and as many days as he might in a warm den, sleeping, and keeping himself just out of starvation's knobby hands.

If ever there was a day to test his the length of his grumpiness, let it be a cold winter day.

He parted the flowers smoothly, leaving a mildly crushed flower here and there in his wake. It wasn't severe damage, but with all the creatures that could be found amidst the red, he was certain that there would be something of interest in the sea. Even if it was something small, he wasn't opposed to lingering here until he could only roll off the knoll. Artuo wasn't opposed to being a fatass. Gluttony was a sin he would happily par take in.

...Violent delights have violent ends
and as kiss, they consume, like fire and powder...

Aki was over taken by the sight, the fire-like view was violently breathe-taking. The warm air was not shining out today. He'd hoped it would fight it's way through the endless sea of clouds. They consumed the land, making the flowers less brilliant, but still breathe-taking. He held his breathe for the slightest moment, another wolf to share the end. The endless land. The endless torture, pain, suffering. These violent delights must have violent ends. For they consumed him with the mere sight.

The wolf hadn't smelled of pack, so he continued towards the smell cautiously. These flowers of blood and gore would not stop him with the painful memories."Hello? Who's there? I mean no harm." He asked cautiously. He was always weary now a days. Wolves had tried to murder him before, maybe it was an assassin or something. But he could never know. He'd met kind wolves too. Like that pack wolf Kyrie.

Then a flashback. How he'd felt. Abandoned, driven out and denied. That was his life. He was a driven out alpha, sentenced to wander alone. An abandoned beta, living alone until another pack denied him the right to have a family. He went by a new name, a fresh start. A good life perhaps? H would never know. He was looking for Drooping Willows, but he believed he was going the wrong way. It was a bad thing he knew. If he strayed into another pack territory, he'd have to fight.

<blockquote>His ears twitched, golden eyes scanning carefully through the flowers. Likely there was going to be some kind of activity beneath the veil of red; he just had to be particular with his approach. He kept very still, the slight adjustment of his ears and the slow gliding of his eyes his only movements. He sought the scent of a smaller creature, likely rodent as no form of insect seemed even the least bit appealing at the moment. Fortunately even in the heat of the summer, the smaller creatures had to feed. His eyes had nearly focused in on a twitching flower when something in the distance caught his attention.

His gaze slide upward, catching the form of another wolf. With the breeze at his back, the other's scent had not yet carried to him. With nothing to go on but appearance (though soon the calls from the other were heard) he began his observations.

The voice sounded masculine, though he never decided solidly until he caught another wolf's scent. He made that mistake before, and no matter the civility of another, there wasn't any polite way to recover from a gender blunder. It was quite as though you had been caught urinating in the midst of an important meeting. Either recover from the blunder by explaining that your intentions had been to uphold the sanctity of not peeing in front of five other wolves or explain that surely a little urine wasn't enough to wander off just to pee when it could be done as you were and still hear the present information. Either way, shame was presented, either of your own accord or someone else's.

Fortunately, such indelicacies did not seem to be presenting themselves.

He would wait for the other to come closer before he made his presence known (had the other wolf not already spotted him). He waited calmly, stance one of neither threat nor overt friendliness. The voice that called out through the field was one of deep intonations, rumbling in the depths of baritone in such a way that it carried easily at long distances with him having to raise his voice to any great degree. <b>"Hello, wolf."</b></blockquote>

"Hello wolf." The other wolf said. Aki didn't like being call wolf. Not at all, but what else would this wolf call him if he didn't say his name. Saying Toby was risky, so he'd changed his name a while back. It was Aki Storm. He hung onto the last name, but other then that, it wasn't anything significant to his past. Aki was a name long forgotten in the tribe. The only ones who knew this were Artemis and himself. Artemis would be the onyl one to tell of his identity. He was the only one Aki could trust with such information. "Hello." The only words he could say before another history flash back. Not like a movie, more like a trailer, covering the entire plot line of the movie.

Aki was born in the Lakota wolf tribe in North Dakota. Born the eldest to the alpha pair, he was looked at with the most pride. He excelled past his brothers and sister in hunting and fighting, only beaten once by a brother, he learned not to let arrogance get in the way then. He'd become a yearling, excelling to Subordinate and to second. He became alpha, but before long, a wolf, Emerald, his own sister, accused him of treason. Of helping another pack, or tribe as they called them, by giving them food from Lakota lands. He denied it and his sister challenged him, she gave fake evidence and was plotting with the other tribe. A fight followed, he fought his sister, but his sister's mate lunged at his, lashing around furiously for attempting to hut Emerald. Strike, Emerald's mate, clawed his face, leaving a scar stretching from his cheek to the back of his neck. The pack chased him out. Emerald and her mate took over as alpha, he felt betrayed mainly because she was a second. A loyal member. But he found a new pack, in the southern Manitoba. Through this he rose to second. The pack one day decided he was to powerful, when he was asleep, they left the territory, without a trace of them being there. He later traveled to another pack, they denied him as they'd learned of his power. He continued forward and reached Relic Lore, He changed his name, he was Toby, a weird name, he thought it was. He decided a new beginning, he became Aki Storm.

<blockquote> He watched the other, a mixture of interest at a new wolf and the impatience of hunger playing across his mind. Though he was interested in the information this wolf might have to offer, he didn't seem to offer anything beyond a response to Artuo's greeting. He seemed much as Artuo did, neutral, and that was the perfect way to come to a stalemate. Artuo watched the other momentarily, gauging both his size and potential speed. Artuo was more than able to strike the first blow, but if this fellow would but with him, he would have the rare opportunity to eat more than a small meal in a day.

His gaze rested on the other for a moment, calculating. And then, as though they had been carrying on a conversation for the past half and hour, he presented his idea. <b>"You hungry?"</b>

Edit: Terribly short, sorry. XD Did it on my 15 at work. </blockquote>
