Calla Lyall
23rd Jan, Jayse & Borden's Anniversary celebrations.
I thought we could have some pack involvement before the two arrive, so come and help Calla make snow men!

Panic had started to settle in. She was sure her parents would be back soon and she wanted to make sure that everything was in the right place. Her parents had left early that morning on their daily duties and she had made it her business to make their return back to their den one to remember. She didn't really know what an anniversary was, but she knew that it would be special to them, therefore it should be special to her too and it was special to all of them, it should be special to the pack.

Sure her parents weren't in the general area, she emerged from the den she had just been cleaning. She had spent a good hour or so replacing the beds they slept on with fresh twigs, moss and whatever else she could find, whilst dragging the old stuff out bit by bit with her mouth and depositing it behind a tree. Then, she had ensured that the area around the den was spick and span, removing anything that looked out of place to behind the tree as well. The effort had left her very dirty and she would have to clean herself before her mother got back, but there was still so much to be done! She had to venture back to the place she had met Ice and gotten the creeps knocked out of her to fetch the gift she had eventually finished for her mother and then she would have to find time to make another for her father- she couldn't give to one and not the other.

It appeared however that there was no way she could do all of those jobs by herself. No, she needed the pack to help her build her snow parents so she could bathe. Reluctant not to be able to complete the task herself, she allowed her soft voice to call into the sky, calling forth her packmates. She kept the note cheery, care free as not to alarm her parents if they heard. It was more a sound of play and attention from anyone near by then a get your fluffy butts here now! but she hoped dearly that someone, anyone would be near enough to come to her aid. If she was able, she would be biting her lip and twiddling her hair with anticipation. Her golden eyes furiously scanned the tree line, whilst her nose worked overtime as she waited, somewhat impatiently, for help to arrive. "Come on.." she whispered to herself.

Sibyl Balik
Strange things were happening in the Hollow, and Sibyl spent much of her time slinking about the territory, unsure if she was either looking for, or hiding or running from... Whatever it was. She wasn't really sure herself and only knew she didn't want anyone to get hurt, herself included. Lately the cubs, which were hardly cubs anymore, were like magnets of the same polarity as their home, repelled away by some unseen force. Sibyl wished they would just stay put where she could keep an eye on them, even though she wasn't sure she was enough to protect them from what was lurking.

So it really came as a surprise when she heard Calla's happy voice singing through the cedars well inside their home's boundaries. Red ears perked and an unsure smile on her lips, Sibyl scurried her way towards the sound. She wondered what there was to be happy about with so many creepy things happening, but she was glad to hear the same fear hadn't overtaken the children like it had her. They were too young to have to worry about such things, and she was simply glad Calla had found some source of joy.

"Calla?" Came Sibyl's wispy voice. "What have you got going on here?" She sounded unsure at first, but a hint of a laugh had worked into her words as she saw the frantic paced prints pressed into the snow, a trail of old bedding bits leading to a heap behind a tree, and the muddy smudges on Calla's cream coat. Was it some kind of game? Or, spring cleaning? But it wasn't spring yet either, with the plants still sleeping soundly beneath snowy sheets. Sibyl had no clue of the occasion, but in any case her tail started up a wag behind her.

Renier Lyall
the magician's protégé
Renier Lyall
like father, like son

<3 adorable.

Renier had woken up on the wrong side of the den. Calla was saying something, fretting about the den.He knew something about this anniversary. Renier did not understand it, and had watched Calla fret over the den before dispersing to get something to eat. Who couldn't use something to eat? He couldn't be bothered packing twigs, sorting grass. No, he felt much better chasing something, catching it, and knowing he could fill some of his stomach. With an old rock chuck in his mouth, he heard Calla call for them. The authority in her voice was weird. It made him want to defy it, let her suffer. She was not exactly to order anyone. Renier had a soft spot for Calla. He would only admit it under torture, but he never wanted anything to happen to her. He wanted her to be happy. Be the one who giggled. What was she doing now? What did she need him for?

A sigh, Renier knew better than to keep her waiting and started jogging best he could through the trails of the forest. He would keep the rock chuck, maybe he could get her to eat some. Surely what else could she be doing? When he got there everything looked the same, except now there was a Sibyl and a Calla. A scrunched brow, his stiff tail was level as he waltzed up to his little sister. He dropped his kill an inch from her paw. He had gotten after Sibyl's question. "Yes, Cal what are you doing, what am I suppose to do to help?" He tried not to say it too mean, or grumpy. The end of it he had his tail wag, forced a half smile. His eyes had a look of mischief. She looked awfully dirty, that was really strange. Then Renier decided no matter what it was they would need more help. He raised his muzzle, giving a Taima, Ryvet, come here come here call rather you like it or not. His voice had the first of a deepness to it, he couldn't help grin as he leveled his chin. Though he waited her to stick out her tongue, teasing him, or bopping him on the nose for howling again. Sometimes he was learning, he shouldn't press things with Calla. Renier wasn't sure where big brother duties ended, and where she could do things herself.
