RE: There is a full moon. All welcome!

Her warm, golden eyes called to him. Her markings, so unusual but profound only helped to ensnare the radiance her soft orbs gave. It felt as if forever had past since he last saw her, his Silver Siren, but in truth he was coming up to the month mark. He had hoped she would have returned to him by now, but she was nowhere to be seen. Her scent had not graced his mountain home and her trail had gone cold long ago. He pined for her. His need to protect and claim back what was his burned in his stomach, the hole she had left needed to be filled lest he lose himself all over again.
He had left a few days back, leaving Naira until strict orders not to leave the terrain and he hoped her newfound fear of him would ensure she did as she was told this time around and if that failed, maybe she might remember what had happened to her children the last time she had upped and left without warning. Following no trail, he had come away from the mountain, past the river pack but not quite to the doors of another. He would not ask any other for help, Sage was his possession to be found and no one else... though that theory might change depending on how frantic he became in trying to locate her. He did not wish to entertain the thought she didn't want to be found. She had made it clear the last time they had spoken she was jealous of Naira, that she wanted to be his queen but the circumstances were against them from the beginning. Still, that did not mean he could continue on without her. His mind could focus on little else, sleep eluded him almost completely, pack duty was but a chore he opted not to do - he needed his firefly in the dark to find some balance in the world. In his crazy, fucked up world.

The full moon reared its head from behind a cloud. The night was dark and the weather cloudy and cold. Spring might have been here, but he still was unable to get the chill from his bones. No doubt he had spent too long on the mountain... or he was finally turning to stone.
The floor beneath him was boggy. He had never walked across a marsh, but he found it no easy task despite his long legs and good stamina. It appeared the grass was too bouncy, the mud was too sticky and he had spent more time prying his paws out of the ground then making his way across it. Damn fool, he should have stuck to the border's but a glint of silver had caught his attention and drawn him, like a real siren, into the thick of it. He had since discovered the silver was nothing more than a large white birch log, cast aside by the wind most likely to lay to rest within the centre of this fucking stupid marsh. The log had not been his mistress, and so he must carry on.

He wasn't sure of her reaction when he found her... if he found her. Most likely she had seen the error of her ways, tangling with the God/Mess that he was. Perhaps she had moved on, found herself another home or another male to care for her in the way he could not yet give her. He did not think her dead, she was too smart for that and her survival instincts were primitive... it was one of the things he liked most about her, how very natural she was. No, she was out there in the world... somewhere. And he was going to find her... somehow. With a snarl, he pulled his currently stuck paw from the mud with a squelch and pressed on, slowly but steadily, towards the dark treeline.

Belun Korsakov
Belun was enjoying his new home. It appeared that he had a family again, which seemed like quite the miracle. The River wolves had accepted him as he was, despite his rather unorthodox way of speaking and lack of communication skills. Nobody had seemed to care much, even though the first time people found out about him, it was always a little embarrassing. Still, Belun enjoyed being a wanderer. Though he had stayed mostly within the confines of Swift River territory, he decided to adventure one afternoon. He went the same route that Fenru had shown him, only backwards. Unfortunately, he got himself lost on the way, as backwards navigation was not his strong suit,

He found himself in a marsh. he didn't know the name, but the smell of the water was a familiar one; he'd been here before. Belun remembered when he happened upon a wolf here, when he was completely new to the area. It had been the first place he had stopped to really rest after traveling for so long, and so far. The birds were beginning to return from the south as the weather slowly began to warm, but the day had been chilly. His journey from the River had taken hours, partly because he'd stopped a bunch on the way over. The moon was now high above him and the gentle cloudiness of the day had turned abruptly to darkness, the stars mostly covered by cloud.

Wind swept through his fur and he gave a shiver. He was still regaining his fat from being a lone wolf for so long; he'd already gained a few pounds since joining his new family. His brown ears caught the sounds of the marsh water sweeping this way and that, and then he heard a snarl. A wolf walked in the waters of the bog, a strange thing to do at night. There was no easy to catch prey in there, to his knowledge, and the water was half-frozen and half muck. Still, the nasty squishing of the mud told him that indeed, there was a wolf in there somewhere; Belun couldn't see him, and the wind was blowing in the wrong direction for smell to be of any use.

The moon came through brightly as the clouds parted for a moment, and then he saw; a dark wolf walked toward him, toward the trees. Belun gave a half bark and a woofing sound to say that yes, he was here. He pointed his ears forward curiously, but did not approach the other. He couldn't smell the wolf, so was unsure if it was one of his kin or not. There had been talk of strange folk out, and though he didn't know the details, you could never be too careful.
