Minka ate something that gives her a stomachache and is now excessively defecating as a result. -.- thanks RoW

she doesn't care how she gets there, as long as she gets somewhere she knows...

A large gurgle erupted the early morning, followed by a moan of pure torment, a tawny fae lay in the tall reeds, a look of misery upon her face. So much for karma, what a load of good it has done me this time the thoughts once again wandered through her skull, for about the millionth time this morning. Last night she had been awoken by her stomach grumbling and had visited the cache, but she had wanted to leave the best pickings for @Narimé since this pregnancy had been taking such a hard toll on her. Which left her with a rabbit that had been unknowingly to Minka left there since almost a month before hand, but had frozen which had slowed its rot severely.

The she wolf had awoken this morning and had barely avoided spoiling herself with her own waste, and had escaped into some bushes nearby. Since then she had been making a slow pace further and further from her pack out of pure embarrassment, she had only joined the pack less than a month ago and she did not want them to see her like this. Truly she knew it was her own fault, and this was her punishment for being so foolish, if a rabbit looked like it had been half frozen all winter, it probably had been.

Another moan escaped the wolf and she dashed further into the reeds to relieve herself, splashing through the slush that had developed from the light snow that was falling, and almost squashing a tiny polliwog that had found a small puddle of fresh water to live in. After the latest round of disgusting stomach digestion had escaped from her Minka returned to her small nest in the dry reeds, praying that soon her torture and humiliation would be over.

Asterion's mind was still reeling from the encounter he'd had with the she wolf. He really didn't know what to think about it, and his efforts to push it out of his mind were in vain. He desperately wanted to go back, but couldn't let himself do so. It was a strange mix of emotions, in a head that usually didn't care about them. With a sigh he tried to go back to sleep in an effort to eliminate the problem. It had been a couple weeks since he had left that place, so why couldn't he get it out of his head?

When he finally awoke, he was covered in a very thin blanket of snow, which still allowed most of his pelt to show through. He quickly shook it off with a growl and looked around. He was tired of seeing the sickly white powder covering the ground. Wasn't it time for the sun to come out and heat the Earth again? At this rate, spring was never coming. How could wolves rear healthy pups in this kind of weather? Though pups were the farthest thing from his mind. The thoughts hit him once again. They were almost suffocating, and they had to stop. Growling again, he set off in search of the place he never wanted to see again. The place that confused him so. He hoped he could find the female again, and that she could qualm his mind.

His paws carried him through the trees, and past a lagoon, which still held delicate sheets of ice, floating around aimlessly. It wasn't until hours later that he could finally smell the meadow. The snow kept falling lightly onto his shoulders as he rounded the trees, walking into the open. He knew that was stupid. Anyone could spot him right here, but he didn't care. His nose went to work immediately, trying to pick up on the females scent, and to his surprise it told him she was here. Another quick inspection also told him that she was alone. He wasn't stupid enough to call out to her, so he kept to the tree lines, wishing to spot her before making any rash decisions.

With one more dash to through the slush Minka emptied everything that was in her stomach, and quickly covered it with mud and slush so as to disguise the smell of her waste. Then she flopped back upon her nest, cramps raking through her body making her cringe and shudder, her whole body shaking with cold not caused by the air that was just below freezing. Everyone once and her breath with inhale in a sharp gasp because releasing quickly, her breath a puff of smoke rising into the reeds that surrounded her. She closed her eyes and tried to force her body to sleep, maybe if she could when she awoke she would feel better and would be able to return to her pack before they even realized she was gone.

Sleep evaded her though, the cramps worsening and her mouth soon became dry from the gasping and the sighing and she arose to get a drink from the shore of the pond, where the ice did not quite reach the banks. The ice water felt healing upon her dry throat, and did some good in aiding her stomach that felt like it was on fire, though when she turned it sloshed uncomfortably in her empty organ. It was then that she saw movement before the trees, and there was the last wolf she wanted to see her like this, the ebony male who she had already shamed herself in front of. The female dropped low as soon as she saw him, praying that it wasn't too late and that he had not already seen her. The sudden movement cause her stomach to slosh again and this time Minka couldn't help herself and dashed again through the reeds, as if this could get any worse, now he has definitely seen you and probably knows exactly how disgusting you're being.

Realizing that it was much too late to try and pretend like he had not seen her and she was not sick Minka returned to her nest, he could do what he will. She placed her head upon her paws and sighed, her stomach tying itself in painful hot knots, and yet it felt as if it were filled with butterflies. She found that she was warring with herself, not sure whether she wanted him to stay away more than she wanted him to come to her. She could not keep from her mind the strange connection that she thought she had felt, and possibly he had to, and because of this she just felt so drawn to him, even if she didn't know his name.

Asterion caught her form lounging in the reeds. It looked as if she had built a small nest out there, which seemed odd to him. If she was part of the pack why wouldn't her den area be closer to them? His thoughts were interrupted by the female as she jumped up and flew through the vegetation. Had he scared her off? Did she even know he was there? Hoping to catch up he began to pad after her, until he realized why she had left in such a hurry. Her scent was mixed with a sickly aroma that he knew to be likened with food poisoning. With a sigh he situated himself in a sitting position a few yards away from her little nest. It wouldn't be wise to seek her out now until she was done.

While he waited he let his mind drift back to their previous encounter. It had been played out in his mind multiple times. He could clearly remember the feel on her muzzle, of her side, against his. Why was that? Why did he feel drawn to her in such a way? It wasn't like him. In every situation life threw at him, he thought only of himself. Usually a meeting with another wolf would drift out of his mind instantaneously unless they did something for him. He always repaid favors, because he hated the feeling of owing anybody. This was different though. This female had done nothing for him... Or had she? He wasn't sure anymore.

she doesn't care how she gets there, as long as she gets somewhere she knows...

She had been so wrapped up in her sickness that she did not even notice his form sitting there until a few moments had passed. At this point however she was so sick, already so humiliated that she did not care that he obviously knew what was happening in her digestive system. Her eyes refused to meet his, instead she chose to stare at a patch of reeds just beside him, not speaking, silently begging him to leave her in her misery, oh why won't he leave? Is this his way of gloating, of rubbing it in how pathetic I am?!. The thoughts were angry, and they seared her brain, causing her body to tremble slightly as she held back the tears that came to her eyes when she thought about how shameful their first encounter had been.

She could not deny though that she had thought about it almost every day in the past couple weeks, she was not sure what it was, she had met plenty of male rogues and yet he stood alone in her mind. Their chance meeting and brief exchanged words ran like a movie on a loop in her skull, and she had not been able to decipher what it had meant, what was going on between them. Though confusing what had happened that day Minka held saccharine in her mind, she had never felt such strong attraction towards another before, even it had come with that strange tension.

The fae raised her head from her paws, looking to the dark male now their eyes locking and instantly the mood seem to change, that strange sweet tension was back. Her blood seemed to be roaring in her ears, and her heart began to beat faster in her ribcage, and then her breath caught in an inaudible gasp. An epiphany came to her, and like she had no control over herself the words slipped out in a whisper, "You came back,. Awe had settled over the tawny wolf and she looked again to the stranger, trying to decipher what this meant, why he had come back even after she had made such a fool of herself.

Asterion continued on in his position by the fae's small nest, awaiting her return. When she finally reappeared it was as if she was unaware of his presence. She took no note of him, her eyes didn't cross his form once, and he found it rather droll. The poor girl looked as though she had been through hell. Her entire appearance screamed she had just given up. A strange pang crashed through his stomach, forcing his muscles to freeze up. What was this feeling? He tried to push it away, to remain aloof, but it wasn't working in his favor. He hated this, hated feeling. It wasn't like him. He longed for the life he had before that encounter. The time before she turned his world upside down. He hated her. He hated her. He kept repeating it in his head. He tried to make himself believe it, but if he hated her, why was he here?

A stir in his peripheral vision caused him to shift uncomfortably. She'd gone from staring away from him, to meeting his gaze in an instant. The discomfort had nothing to do with feeling challenged, but rather the sudden switch in her mood. Only a second ago she had been content looking away from him, what changed? He almost didn't hear her voice when she spoke. It was delicate, light. His ears swiveled forward, and his full attention was on her. "You came back." He did come back, didn't he? Why was that exactly? He couldn't remember anymore.

The air around them was electric, fueled with a fair amount of suspicion, dislike, and something else. He still wasn't sure what it was. He was stalling though. Even he knew it. What was the answer? In fact, what was the question? Was there a question? He was certain there was. "I don't think I had a choice.". His tone was filled with an odd array of malice and confusion. Whether it sounded that way to her, he was unsure. He wanted desperately to hate her. He just wanted to leave, and yet he stayed. He was pretty sure at this point that he was deranged.

she doesn't care how she gets there, as long as she gets somewhere she knows...

Minka watched with curiosity as emotions flashed across the males face, and felt pangs inside her with more than one, she just did not understand what was happening between them. He had not answered her question and the silence stretched out as she refused to talk until he at least acknowledged that he had come back, he did not need to explain why, she just wanted an acknowledgment. Yet when he did she flinched, turning her head quickly to look away from him, not at his words but at his tone, full of malice though there seemed to be a hint of confusion mixed in. She did not know what she had done to deserve the malice in his tone, but then again maybe she did, maybe he came back to lash out on her for her inappropriate behavior, maybe he had a mate though she did not smell one on him.

Anger boiled inside her suddenly, an odd emotion for her, one that she did not feel often though when she did it usually continued to live inside her for a long while. Her eyes narrowed and she turned back to him, "What do you mean you had no choice? I did not call you here, I did not want you here," the words were a snarl composed through barred teeth. He is a rogue, and you are vulnerable, you have been being foolish, do not let him continue to confuse you, she reasoned to herself, though the thought of sending him away filled her with a sadness. This is madness! He is a stranger! He should bring you no sorrow, he should have no hold on you, what have you done? The voice inside her head held more logic than the emotions she felt towards this male.

Guilt and regret washed over her, her eyes roving his form looking for some result of her snap anger, she did not want him to go though she was too proud to say so. She did not even know his name yet he had some strange hold on her heart that she could not explain, these feelings were all alien to her. A low whimper resounded in her vocal chords and she lay her head upon her paws, stomach cramps gripping her once more, for a moment distracting her from her whirlwind emotions. She knew she must look pitiful to this strong rogue, and she supposed she was pitiful if she was being honest with herself, yet she could not keep herself from hoping that he would against all odds stay with her.

He watched as the tawny female reacted to his words. It pulled at his skin, leaving an emptiness behind that wasn't there before. She looked so hurt. Had he done that? Why would he intentionally do something like that? He was pushing her away from him, and yet she wasn't ever close to him. She was a female, leading a cozy life within a pack. It was likely she had a mate, maybe even possible that she would be able to bear cubs. He was introverted, leading his life as far away from others as possible. Cubs? He could scoff at the thought. There would be no raising pups with his lifestyle. The contrast between the two grew the more he knew about her, or at least assumed. Unfortunately something deep within him was telling him to comfort her. Something was pulling him closer.

Then came her retort. Her anger laced voice sliced through him, ripping and tearing as it went. Why did he care what she thought? Why did it hurt to hear her voice like that? He didn't even know her, and he kept trying to tell himself that. The girl in front of him was a stranger. She meant nothing to him, but if that was true, why did he feel this way? His fur bristled at the thought. There was a reason, and maybe he knew it, but he wasn't going to let himself think it. He refused to let himself feel it. She didn't want him here, and he didn't want to be here. His paws seemed frozen to their spot, refusing to put any more distance between himself and this girl.

A small, almost soundless whimper escaped his throat. It was more sympathizing with her than anything. He knew he was wrong. She deserved an answer, a reason for his behavior. He just wasn't sure if he could give it. "I... Couldn't stay away." It was short, simple, and he didn't think he could give her more than that.

As she observed him his expression held something that she just could not place, regret? Grief? Uncertainty? She didn't know, though she might have been trying to place her own feelings upon him as these were exactly how she was feeling. She did not know what he was thinking, but she longed to, she had never wanted to be inside of someone else's head before, to hear their thoughts until this moment. She opened her jaws to speak but no words came to her, so she just closed them again and continued to watch him. Yet he did not leave, not even after her biting words that should have pushed him away, he stayed, though he continued to look pained at being in her presence.

When the whimper reached her ears Minka gave a slight gasp, he muscles straining to move forward and offer him comfort, even if it was herself that she would be comforting him from. Stupid girl, remember last time you touched him? It wasn't exactly comforting was it? It wasn't comforting it was the opposite, it was electric, it was fire, it was alive. A whine slipped from her jaws in response to his sadness, though why she should feel any sadness to a stranger was maddening, she shouldn't feel anything for a stranger, yet she did. Then was his response, which sent her tumbling through her emotions again, unsure of how to feel, of how to act, happiness, shock, guilt and something else she couldn't name raced through her, leaving her mostly confused.

She looked to him, the confusion plain upon her expression and her words came out sounding raw, "I did not want you to stay away, I still do not want you to stay away. All of her emotions, those that were named and those that were yet to be named hung in the air, like a layer of glass, and it would be up to him what he did with them. He could either take this tiny glass figurine and protect it, or he could shatter her with just his words, no brute force necessary.

His eyes roamed over her small frame laying amongst the reeds. The expression on her face no longer held the anger that it had only moments before. Even the air around them seemed to change. He wanted to reach out to her, to touch her, but he held back. If he were to take that step there would be no going back. The woman in front of him was delicate, and he was afraid of breaking her. In the process would he end up breaking himself as well? It would go against everything he had believed in. His life would be forever altered by the female in front of him. Could he trust her not to hurt him? When he left his birth pack he promised he would never be tied down anywhere. He swore to himself he would never live under the rule of another, and he would never again experience the pain of having to walk away from someone he loved. Why was this happening?

The temptress in front of him was calling out to his subconscious. Could he let her in? His body acted on it's own and took a small step closer to the girl. His mind wasn't screaming at him this time, but he wasn't sure if it was working. There was no denying that he wanted to be closer to her. Maybe it wouldn't work out, and maybe he would end up hurt, but he had to know. He had to try. Living and never knowing wouldn't prove to be a worthwhile existence.

His ears positioned themselves toward her voice. He could almost feel her words as they made their way through the glassy air between them. Asterion's answer came quickly, crawling out of a mouth he had no control over. "My name is Asterion." In return for making her affections apparent, he had to give her his name. She needed to know who he was, and he desperately wanted to know who she was.
