Shade Slayer
[@Capella if Pinn wishes since its right after their thread in Red Fern Forest]

Shade had to remain calm, he had to make sure that he kept whom it was his duty to protect, safe. He had to keep those who had sworn loyalty to him safe and he had to find her. He’d do anything to find his sweet Rosealia. She was the one who had saved his soul from being consumed by the deceit of others. She had stolen his heart and she had yet to return it. He wasn’t ready to return hers yet though, he never would be. It was the promise, for he had sworn, forever and always. He was doing all these things out of the desperation to find her; if she was out there then she had to be hungry and alone. That was the danger of having pups as a lone wolf, you couldn’t hunt and therefore without a mate, you would starve.

He kept his tail flat with his back, making sure to keep a watch around the surrounding scents. He knew this forest to play tricks on the mind, and then show surprises where it was least expected. He knew it to be evil and he would do anything to change such theories. He hoped to find his sweet freedom and heart here. Within her was resting with little balls of fur that would grow into strong warriors in her stomach. He occasionally looked behind him, seeing if Capella truly was following him. She knew of the pain he was going through. Your going through the six degrees of separation. He simply needed her, and no one else. He could not, would not simply live without her.

Capella Destae
The sun had already reached it's peak in the sky, and was beginning to fall back toward the horizons. The dim light it gave off was concealed even more by the various trees and ferns of the forest. As she padded silently behind Shade, she took note of the soil under her paws, and the growth surrounding her. She wondered if they would ever see this place again. If they couldn't find their missing alpha female, would they return and attempt to build a new pack among the ferns? Would they leave these woodlands behind along with the memories of this place? Capella had a feeling that if they put too much distance between themselves and this area, Shade would rather not come back. He had lost so much hope here, and it would remind him of Rosealia and his missing cubs every day.

Every so often she would tear her eyes away from her surroundings to ensure Shade was still there. Of course she knew he was there, as her nose and ears told her he was, but she had to make sure. She had to see him with her own eyes. She wouldn't allow them to be separated. The silence was really starting to sink in though. It was slowly driving her mad. There were so many things she'd like to say, but nothing seemed right. How do you console one who has lost a loved one? The simple truth, you don't. Everyone must go through their own process. She would be there for him when he needed her, or wanted to talk, but she wasn't going to make it worse by bringing it up.

-Rose's character has been accepted again so I tagged her!-

Shade was calm as he continued forward, catching more recent scents of Rosealia; however they were still faint, at least a few weeks old. He was secretly looking for her, he would never stop looking, and Capella thought that he was simply looking for recruits. Well she was a recruit; she was his recruit, his very first recruit. She was also the love of his life, and no one could ever take his @Rosealia away from him. He wanted to call out for her, hoping to find out where she had gone off to. He knew Capella was right behind him now and he was comforted to have the loyal member of the hopeful pack around. This was their time to shine.

Shade’s tail flicked calmly from side to side calmly, like it was wagging. It was the first time he had been happy in weeks. He found a scent that was only a few days old. That was always good, and so he stayed calm and went onward. When he went forward it was with a strut, the entire physical and mental appearance of him was lifted up just like his heart. This was important to him, to Ace and Capella. He hoped that everything had fared well and that Rosealia hadn’t miscarried or anything. This was near the brink of the lore and he hoped she hadn’t left.

Perhaps something else had happened? If she was still alive with pups in her stomach then she must have figured out a way to hunt in her conditions. Most of all, it gave him hope to be reunited once more.
