Triell Tainn
Okay, @Fenru I think you're good .xD But let me know if something needs to be changed, or isn't straight forward. :3This is pretty much Fenru getting his first attack,Triell missing, Fenru getting him again, and then Triell getting his attack in. I still left it up to you to play out. If that's too much just say.

And I don't mind

falling to pieces.
Kisla's presence was only known because of her scent, because Triell didn't dare look at his niece. He was intently set on seeing Fenru's next move in this challenge. While Triell hoped he would not have to do more then intimidate for a couple a reasons, Fenru did not back down in the slightest. The dark man's teeth ground.

No longer was he a lanky boy, but a full grown Tainn who was readying to strike back. Impressed, Triell was ready to see who was better prepared for II. Stretching his front limbs, he bent his ears back, tucking his chin when answered with a more powerful growl. His final warning. While they were family, and he had no intention to draw blood he wanted what was his.

When he saw ivory weapons he could just about forget he had consoled the threatening young man. In fact Triell was better off not letting such things be drifting in his mind. Especially that his mother was watching. Fenru struck up a foreboding pose, there was relief in feeling his own dark guard hairs rise along the back of his skull, down his shoulders, raising his own black banner of dominance. Bring it on, his bright eyes seemed to say as he stretched his head, keeping a lip curled in a toothy grin. Suddenly he felt more like they were brothers than Uncle and nephew.

The Tainn wouldn't be disappointed by the youth's first move. The black wolf tried to brace for the silver, black and tawny wolf that charged him. The hit struck his already sore side, sending him back a couple steps, his right foreleg crumbling briefly enough for his haunches to clip the grass. Triell wasn't about to fall completely on them, and let a faint yip sound from the jarring. There was little time for anything else though. Fenru's weight was crushing, trying to force the front of him to the ground. Triell began to try to push back hoping to grab hold of a leg, or flap of skin to try to use as his own leverage. Tri was not in any good position to shove his heavy opponent away. Then the boy suddenly placed his muzzle round his. The man could have laughed by the absurdity of the feeling, but he couldn't. This new Guardian was dead serious about keeping his rank. Oh, Triell would not be giving up that easy.

A snarl broke from his throat, more vicious then he had ever let loose in his family's presence. Hoping it was enough to distract Fen, he pulled his nose from the young guardian's. The problem was the higher wolf had the best ground, and Fenru instantly grabbed at the side of his neck just below his left ear. No more messing around, without thinking Triell shoved his own weight into the guardian's chest (or so he tried) going for Fenru's under jaw, the white collar cause he was deadly serious as well.

:x totally hope I read/replied to this right - interpreting correctly which was the hit - miss - hit - hit.

fenru tainn
blood of my blood
In all truth, the youth had been inexperienced in sparring, even if Indru and Rihael had partially prepared him for such real-life occurrences. So far he had been operating purely on instinct; and, somewhere at the back of his mind, perhaps he wasn't doing all that bad. Even if the other members of the family were possibly watching his every move. Fenru's maneuvers were met by his uncle's equally large and weighty motions. His attempt at dominating the older Tainn by placing his muzzle around Triell's jowls had proven effective in staving him off for a bit.

As he successfully gripped the back of his uncle's neck, Triell went ahead and delivered a blow of his own, making the masked pack wolf stagger back the way he had come as well as jerk back and away from him. Fffffffsss... That stung!

Fenru had overlooked the possibility of such a move and his network of nerves were paying the price for it. It hadn't been anything too major - no blood, no wounds, nothing that needed wolf-spit and herbs as some sort of ointment - but it was very effective in getting Triell's point across. This was not child's play, and the prize at stake was very much real. Furthermore, Uncle Triell was determined to fight back.

Half-crouched in the grass, the younger Tainn lifted his lips again, pulling them up from over the base of his teeth and dark gums. The dark whiskers on either side of his muzzle and nose twitched but a growl did not come, no matter how suggestive the facial expression might have been. Instead, Fenru lunged forth again, his large frame coming forward and up again, his right forearm slipping across his uncle's back as he repeatedly tried his first intimidation tactic. The firm, and yet gentle, grasp of his teeth over the back of Triell's neck was attempted and achieved... perhaps that might've helped tip the scales in his favor if only in just the slightest amount.

Okay, @Fenru attack, Triell's attack.

And I don't mind

falling to pieces.
No matter the outcome this would be a lesson for the young Tainn. Practice in real time. What better than not dropping defenses, not softening blows merely because they were family?

The dark wolf felt greatly satisfied he had gotten Fenru back, gotten him away. The older Tainn wasn't about to think he would be stepping down yet. He wasn't about to back off either. The young man needed to submit or find a better strategy to keep Tri from what he wanted too.

A long growl pulsed in his throat. Have you had enough? There will be more.

There was something in the youth's fiery eyes, he crouched in the grass, showing his teeth again. This made Triell bristle, long black locks sticking out as if there was static in the air to the side of his shoulders, and hips. Closely, his topaz toned eyes settled on his opponent, waiting for his move.

With no warning he had sprung as the first time. Ready for him, Triell had forced himself forward a second behind Fenru, trying to keep the lad from getting his weight a top him again. It half worked, there was still a cream leg just on his back, and teeth at the back of his neck. There wasn't much of a grip, and Triell would use that to his advantage. No more messing around, he snaps his teeth with no hesitation, aiming for Fenru's foreleg that was planted on the ground. Meanwhile pushing his hind legs, charging forward with his chest into his nephew's shoulders, ready to unseat him. Ready to make him fall to the ground.

Tali Callow
Tali heard the call of her superior, and it was one she was excited for. Small paws carried her onward, pulling hard against the ground as she made her way home. home. It was a strange concept that somehow she had found a place of worth. Somewhere she could live with others of her kind, and although they may not have been family in the regular sense, they were still a family. A smile broke onto her face as she moved through the fog. The scent of her pac mates all together sent her head spinning in anticipation of what she knew was coming. The youngest generation of Oak Tree Bend were coming out into the light. They would be able to see the beauty in this world under their parents watchful eyes. Eventually they would grow to be guardians or teachers. They would become staple members of everyday life, and she would be able to watch them grow from the sidelines.

Cubs were not something Tali thought about often, as she knew she would never mother a litter of her own. The rights to breed lied with those who were superior to her, and those who could care for them with everything they had. No, she was certainly not fit to be a mother, but that didn't mean she couldn't indulge in the cubs that would be growing up right here in the heart of the pack. Her heart sang as she caught sight of her pack mates. They were all just as excited in this moment as she, and it was a beautiful thing. All of them brought together by new life. A sudden air fell around them, and she a wolf she had yet to meet seemed to be challenging the one who brought her here. Giving the males a wide berth, she moved to stand behind Kisla, only glancing at the scuffle between Fenru and Triell, before turning toward the two light fuzzballs.

Fenru's timing and his judgment, while potentially effective, had not been enough to force Triell to bend at his joints and press him down into a position that made him lower in stance. To bow down and submit... In fact, the move backfired. The moment the youth's arm found a place along his uncle's back, Triell managed a nip at Fenru's left forelimb and the masked Tainn had to half-stumble, half-shuffle backwards... even more so once the black-furred brute utilized his chest to send his nephew backward with a shove. One, two, three, four steps to the side and their sideways shamble opened up an opportunistic move. Fenru might have been vaguely aware of Tali's emergence on the scene, but he wasted no time in executing his next strike.

His ears flipped back, his jowls parted and his teeth pinched at the fur and skin at Triell's right inner elbow, the closest "weak spot" he could pinpoint... anything to try and get his most beloved blood relative to just let it go. The way he saw it, Fenru had deserved this apparently coveted spot. As selfish as the thought may have been, Corinna's second-born son was still determined to perform his best in front of the family; even, though his endurance and staying power were not as potent as they had been a few moments ago. His black-lined jaws clamped down on the swarthy limb, only partially bracing himself for his opponent's next move. If his Uncle Triell was going to play rough, then he was going to up the stakes... When he had had enough, one of them was going to be flattened in a bed of grass, and he hoped with all his might that it would not be him. As much as he was determined and well-aware of the consequences presented from such a challenge, he was going to do everything and anything he could to show the pack just exactly who he was - winner or not.

Cali Swiftpaw
Cali was on her border patrols, still learning the lay of the land after several weeks. The forest was beautiful, but if she was honest with herself, she still missed her beloved river. But she was slowly adjusting. The birth of the two princes had the desired effect on the pack it seemed, along with the move and everyone seemed to be adjusting to their new home. It still didn't feel like home to the snowy woman, but then the river had not at first either.

All of them had kept busy providing for Corinna so she could feed her young once they had made their way into this huge and unpredictable world. She did her best to do her part, protecting the borders and hunting small game as she could. She couldn't help a smile remembering how out of it Ice had been, especially right after the birth, needing the care nearly as much as Corinna had. Today, which seemed like any other, took a sudden and abrupt change when her leadess' call rent the air. It was not a call of distress, it was a call filled with pride, beckoning her family to come and meet the new royalty. While this thought filled the wolf heart with pleasure it also caused her heart to clench in pain. It seemed that it would always be such for her. New young would always remind her of the pups that she had lost a lifetime ago. When she had lost her chance at love and motherhood in one fell swoop.

Shaking the melancholy that threatened to overtake her, Cali took a deep cleansing breath and moved towards the den, only the barest hint of hesitancy left in her step. Saddened by her memories, she determined not to show such emotion to her king and queen and their blessed royalty. She smelled all of the others already present when she arrived. All that had moved here from the west and another that had been missing for some time. Triell. He had come home and that should have been happy tidings, especially paired with the emergence of the pups.

But Triell and Fenru were paired off in a dominance match. The fact that they were fighting for position didn't bother her. What did anger the snowy fae was that they had not waited for another time. The introduction of the pups into a new and scary world must be terrifying with the snarling and growling of the two large males. If she had thought it would do any good she would have attempted to break up the fight, but she had no wish to get hurt and it was not her place. Not with both Ice and Corinna present. She moved to the other side of Jessie, standing tall with waves of agitation rolling off of her. She felt like boxing both of the male's ears and knocking some sense into them. Giving them a disdainful look and a low growl of her own that they'd not likely notice, she turned her emerald gaze to the two pale balls of fur behind Corinna, trying to give them a smile and a reassuring look as she wagged her thick white plume at them.

Triell Tainn
@Fenru I feel terrible at this. >.< so kindly tell me if Triell's move is too extreme for what he was rolled. I did leave it up to you where he gets, how it affects him again sooo yeah. xD

And I don't mind

falling to pieces.
The dark Tainn was almost considering giving Fenru the spot he wanted badly enough to start this now....in the middle of everyone. Yet, he was severely more stubborn to try to make him become acquainted with the ground. Up close, and personal. So he wasn't aware of anyone else coming or going. One slow counter was the difference between the victor or loser. Despite not thinking he was prideful being defeated by his nephew would be a blow to his confidence. If he couldn't best him he might as well retire here, catching rabbits and chasing butterflies with the children.

His teeth were on their mark, driving the molten figure back with bulk, empowering Triell, making him one step closer. The younger of the pair threw in a move that was a lot like Indru. Taking no hesitance to retaliate, he snatched back at the tender part of his own limb when Triell had thought he had him. His weight was forced to shift to his other legs, the leg with Fenru's teeth bent awkwardly. Again how he wanted to laugh, shake it off. A low growl rumbled in his chest, letting the pain escape through it. I will not bow. The vicious sound began to build, because the black Tainn knew his body was shaking, his rapidly pounding heart craving ease, and his lungs wanting normal air. Instead of this thick, hot shit that reminded him too much of his last battle.

The lad dare clamp more tight on his hold, and that was about when Triell lost it. Snapping his head down, every tooth exposed, he snaked his open jaws toward Fenru's cheek, and muzzle with every intention of grabbing hold and forcing downward.

Fenru Donata

blood of my blood
Triell gripped the youth's muzzle between his teeth, and Fenru tried with every ounce of his remaining stamina to keep his head level. His uncle's grasp easily had his neck muscles quivering and trembling as both their heads began to sink downward. Had Fenru been respectful and tolerant enough of his uncle's superiority, he would have bowed out at this point, flinched away and tried to put some distance between them - all while figuratively waving a white flag that signaled his surrender. He tried to brace himself further, to stiffen up his limbs and lock all his joints. It didn't do him much good.... Lower, lower, and lower still the younger Tainn's skull went. Even as he resisted, every place where Triell's teeth grazed over the skin on his muzzle felt as though it were being gouged and split open.

As smoothly as he could manage, the subordinate tilted his head this way and that, wresting free at last to meet his opponent's open jaws with his own. Tactfully maneuvering his head, he met Triell's moves in return. Nose to nose, lip to lip, eye tooth to eye tooth... Fenru kept angling his head and adjusting his jaws in order to keep Triell's grip at bay. Having spent a majority of his energy in trying to force his uncle to submit to him, Fenru was at a loss and in one last attempt, he tilted his muzzle upward and managed a simple, loose grip on his uncle's dark lower jaw. A deep growl issued forth from his chest as he panted heavily into the hairs on his uncle's chin, his tail wavering above him. It might not have been the best effort he had made thus far, but it was very apparent now that he was merely, foolishly bluffing. If a muzzle-grab was not enough to make the elder Tainn back down, then the youth was more than likely done for.

Triell Tainn

And I don't mind

falling to pieces.
There was a soft muzzle in his mouth, and he tried not to think about not marring too deeply. With his pulse on the high end, the anger of these past weeks thumping in his heart, making every black hair seem to stand up, a little pain might help the younger Tainn. This would be a lesson without words, if there was no blood shared between them. With his hold he began forcing the white jaws, down, and down feeling Fenru use his last ounces of energy to fight it. In his position Triell would have been as stubborn too. His nephew needed to learn when to quit. When there was time to fight another day...wiser.

The silver and cream wolf wiggled, shifted and managed to get himself in a final position to fight Triell's attempts. His open mouth was met by a black one, and Triell felt his eyes narrow, another growl bubbling in his throat. There was sudden sounds of jaws snapping, panting breaths in the final ends of this confrontation. When their teeth gnashed, and bites starting again Fenru snagged his bottom jaw. Triell could see the plume of his white tail rise in the corner of his eyes, hear the threat in his voice again. That was all Fen had, because if he could do more wouldn't Triell be greeting the ground by now?

With a crinkled snout, Triell jerked his away, already a scar there he didn't care if there would be more. (He recalled Marsh had many and not without reason.) The Tainn broadened his stance, raised his head, and shifted his thick tail above him. Fiery eyes met Fenru's own bright gaze with a hardened stare with every intention of cutting into the boy. There was still a show of white fangs ready to capture his creamy muzzle again if that was what was needed.

It was over. Fenru already saw the cues in his uncle's face as he pulled away. He ought to surrender and wave his white flag for all and any to see. It should have been humbling, it should have been a moment to make his step-father proud, but all the younger Tainn could feel was failure for the fribble his first fight turned out to be. Much like he had before when he was younger, usually only in the face of Rihael's distasteful ideas for fun, the masked man frowned. His chest heaved as he panted through his clenched teeth, only at last remembering where he was and who this day really was for. The scowl effortless melted away and his gaze averted downward as he felt the heat of Triell's glare. How could he have forgotten? The family, including his younger step-brothers, were watching! And, neither he nor Uncle Triell should have been perceived as threats.

As soon as Triell raised his head, there was already no doubt about who clearly was victor in this little spat. The young wolf found that his head had already been held much lower and he had no more energy to expend and lift his own skull to meet the challenge again. With one last fleeting glance to the darker Tainn's face, his large ears went back and every taut muscle in his body relaxed. His tail lowered back into its usual arch at his ankles before curling beneath him.It felt as though he had just been handed the ultimate scolding, Fenru nobly bowed down, apologetically rolling over on this left side and nestling his temple in the long grass with a low whine. I'm sorry, he wordlessly whimpered. I'm sorry.

Somewhat embarrassed, his gaze quickly went over to the small group assembled before the den before closing his eyes and bracing himself. Before he could be formally released from the challenge he had issued and lost, to crawl back to his mother's side or find reprieve in Ice's or Jessie's shadows, @Triell had but one last move that would finally declare him as nephew's superior and the new Second beneath Oak Tree Bend's male Leader, Ice Aesir.
