Borlla Tainn-Argyris
Borlla did not usually find herself actively thinking about her son's condition. It was a strong tug-of-war between wanting to treat him the way she'd treat Hypatia and wanting to push him or coddle him. But thankfully, the lack of true conscious thinking usually led her down the path of equal treatment. She didn't consider the weight at which he held the tasks laid upon him or even the way the boy thought about himself. She could only think that he would be far too young to worry about such trifles. Everyone was different! Some were just different in more obvious ways. So even as he came up to make an attempt at the thorn, she could only smile, trying not to brace herself too much, as though the clenching of muscles would cause the thorn to become more lodged. They'd both been given the chance to help, and she was simply glad that there was that want to be useful.

She couldn't help but cringe slightly as he made his first attempt, unfortunately futile. But rather than passing the job back to his sister, he made another go. Borlla kept her paw still as he got his teeth around him and yanked, freeing the floral refuse from her calloused pad. She flinched a tad more violently as the problem was removed, and then let out a sigh, offering her children a smile before she realized that they'd likely hadn't seen blood before, especially not blood pouring out of their mother. It had been a sizable thorn and so had left a sizable wound. Craning her neck in such a way that she could give it a good cleaning, she then quickly addressed the fears of her children, especially Kyros who seemed to think he had done something terribly wrong. But the woman kept her cool, especially in going out of her way to clean it before speaking to them. Certainly her attitude would reflect the severity (or lack thereof) of the situation.

<b style="color:#32527a">"It's alright. You got it out, and this is just a bit of blood. It'll help the little prick on my pad heal." Even as she spoke, paw still held above the ground, the damage began to clear up, the flow of blood becoming quite minimal, and she gave it another lap. Bending down before her son, she took the thorn in her jaws, yellowed teeth flashing below raised lips so she could speak. <b style="color:#32527a">"We ought to take this some place no one else will step on it." She began to move around the densite, in the direction of the stream, which did not lie too far of. Then she paused, glancing down at Kyros. <b style="color:#32527a">"Perhaps you'd like to carry it, carefully. You got it out after all, so you ought to get to toss it in the stream." <b style="color:#32527a">
