Calla Lyall

Calla had been in Relic lore for a few days now, she had met a few wolves, even returned to the site of her old home to find that Grizzly Hollow was no longer there. That saddened the yearling, but she knew that she would have to find not only a pack to live in, but her sister. And maybe if she could manage to find friends of the hollow wolves, or what remained of them, she could start there. Calla left Cedarwood forest behind, having spent a night in the old pack den, trying to convince herself that the Lyalls were all truly still together at the very least, in her dreams. Those very dreams had taken her back to the joy of her pup hood. Chasing nonsense and simply enjoying being a round bellied puppy with no responsibilities other than to follow and learn.

Dawn grew bolder over the meadow as the cream female made her appearance, pausing to watch the mornings normal events transpire. She found that a small herd of deer had run at her approach, and the birds called to one another. It was oddly peaceful, but then, after having discovered her home was no longer there, or at least the one she had intended to return to, Calla had come to terms with a few things. Though she was determined to find her sister, no matter what it took, she was also still barely out of pup hood.. She had only just recently become a yearling, and she had to admit to herself, despite her urge not to, that she was a little scared of being so far removed from the rest of her family.

Slowly, the female made her way into the center of the meadows, lifting her golden gaze to look around. She had no clue where to even begin to look for Taima.. The scents from the wolves of Grizzly Hollow had washed away long before now.. What was it she hoped to find in the empty meadow? Perhaps a whiff of something long since forgotten maybe.. A silent sigh slipped from her lips before the yearling sat on her backside, simply looking around. She had taken this daunting task alone, and was now beginning to wonder if it was a fools errand.. Relic lore was enormous...Taima could be anywhere in it.. if she was still inside the lore at all.

Well.. She wouldn't find her sister by sitting here moping, now would she? Calla got to her feet and put her nose to the ground, intending to cross the entire meadow in search of even a faint whiff of familiar smell.

Gwendoline
gwen / raised on the edge of the devil's backbone

Gwen was pissed. It was one of those days during which the female simply radiated anger- it had no particular direction or cause, but she was mad. She'd been travelling more often of late, finding the movement kept her mind from dwelling on less than advisable coping mechanisms for her fury, and in truth the restlessness helped her to concentrate. The she wolf kept at a steady trot, her cream tail out like a banner behind her as she strode through the meadow.

She hated the way she moved. With a critical eye, Gwen dropped her gaze to examine the way her paws moved, hitting the earth below her with rhythmic thuds- each one twisting and prodding at her temper, but the female pushed on. Curling her muzzle, Gwen snarled to herself; the sound surprisingly loud in the hushed surroundings of the new area, her growl almost echoing around her as she moved. She wasn't entirely sure why she'd been keeping up such a punishing pace, but she couldn't allow herself to slow down. Dark thoughts would take over if she did.

However, the slender she wolf was not expecting what she found next. The scent of an unfamiliar wolf. A low rumble in her throat, Gwen slowed, lowering her head and padding forwards to track it. Wondering if the other wolf had caught her own scent yet, she suddenly felt rather exposed in the open air, ears pinned to her skull with unease. Weighing her options, Gwen considered what would happen if she was spotted; would this be someone she could bully, or would she have to flee? Perhaps she wouldn't even be seen. Scanning her hazel eyes over the area, the she wolf crept forwards.

Calla Lyall

It was the snarl that caught her attention first. The sound of anothers anger reaching her triangular ears without fail. Calla paused in her intent sniffing about the meadow and looked up, concentrating now on an entirely different task than the one she had been attentive to previously. The slight breeze carried the scent of another on it, but she couldn't tell where, or who they were. Not enough information to know honestly. Eyes of a soft gold looked around, her fur ruffling in the wind. Where was the other? How many were there? Frowning, Calla shifted before she decided that nerves were unbecoming of the lady she was, and she planted her feet more firmly on the Terra below.

Lifting her head, the golden yearling called out a soft greeting, a gentle, but firm yap that echoed across the grasses of the open space. She hoped that whoever was there would answer, and then she would learn more about where her family was, or at the very least, what direction she wanted to go in to try to find Taima. Waving her tail above her back, she waited, turning her head slowly as she attempted to spot the other. Perhaps they had moved on, but on one paw, maybe she didn't want to meet them, if the anger she had heard earlier was anything to go off of. The Lyall female strode towards the center of the meadow, from where she had been positioned on one of the outer edges. Hopefully, the closer proximity to all the meadows reaches in general would give her a glimpse of the other.
