Aeolus found he was almost bitter, but at the same time he was filled with understanding and it just made him confused. Confused was a good word for it as he thought about it more. He was confused as to why his brother left, leaving Thorne to lead the pack to its own demise. He found that his brother could have challenged Desdemona and even Thorne, maybe even banish them from the pack, but instead he had fled with his tail between his legs. He was angry that his brother had left, especially since his brother left without even telling him that he was leaving. The Argyris male had a few words for his brother if he could find the damned place he was hiding. A few choice words would be mixed into it, and some more profane than others.
He began to ponder why exactly his brother had left. Why had the male just left, he could have charged right in on the man and challenged him for everything he had, including his life. Aeolus knew that he was certainly strong enough, though the burly second had been strong himself. The man had been so focused on his thoughts, he had almost not noticed the tree that he was about to walk into. He halted, looking around the almost pitch black forest where the trees sang to him, it was probably birds though. He heard their whistling and he figured he had to be going crazy, he couldn't see any birds around. Surely they were hiding in the trees? He could and would find his brother, and demand answers, who knew; perhaps his brother wasn’t even alive.
Aeolus knew that it wasn’t true, his brother had been a strong man, and probably still was. Probably ran off to run to another pack, maybe found another lover to patch whatever he felt that made him leave. Though it would be his luck if she was already taken. He told himself with a chuckle. He would see it as irony if that indeed happened though. He could just see his brother challenging another male for a woman, it was just who Phineas was. Wherever he was, Aeolus would not stop at anything until he was found. He figured that Erebos and Thantos had headed out, to find him. Though they would probably forgive the man for abandoning them, they were softer than he was. If his reasons were good enough, Aeolus figured that he could possibly forgive his brother for abandoning him, Thantos, Erebos, and all of Asphodel Meadows. But that was unlikely in his mind.
