Karpos Slayer

Karp just wanted to see if he could, though being a pup with a harsh winter approaching, he doubted they would let him. The Pass, a mountain pack, Aponi. He couldn't hunt or fight to a good standard yet, but he would learn. His dark black fur was calmed and sleek, his brown eyes looking around. He found the borders, the scent faint compared to what he was use too. He backed a good length away and howled out for @Aponi and maybe her mother and father. He wasn't sure how they were going to react to him being there, but he didn't want to be harmed if they reacted badly, which was why he was farther out from the borders. He cut off his howl, and he hoped that they would let him by.

Karpos tried to think about what he was good at, even if he wasn't an adult, he would surely still do things to help. After all, it wasn't like he was born into whatever pack he sought out refuge in. He knew that if anything happened and they refused him, he could make it real fast to catch up with Capella or even Aeo. I should have thought this through more. He whispered to himself. He stood there, a small pup at the borders of a pack in the middle of the winter. What could be possibly do? The pessimist in him took the opportunity to answer. Nothing, he could do nothing. There was only one thing that could be to his advantage, he was a fast learner.

my milkshake brings all the boys to the pass
and they're like, it's better than your ass

The youthful howl carried a hint of familiarity as it called for her youngest daughter. With a huff she turned and began to make her way to the borders to investigate. Her daughter would not be sneaking off again - not while storm clouds were looming so ominously on the horizon. It hadn’t escaped her notice that each day the snow grew thicker, and not for the first time she contemplated what that would mean to them. Last winter had been mild in comparison, and not for the first time she considered abandoning the Pass to the snows, like a flock of birds, they could migrate under the cover of trees for the winter she was sure. If only she knew she had left it too late.

The stranger stood distant from the borders, small and thin. A questioning glance was thrown at the youth, he would easily blend with the adults were it not for a certain gangliness that remained. Her tail sat level with her spine as she approached. “You are a long way from home. Won’t your pack be looking for you?”

Her voice was gentler than when they last had met, there was a sadness about the boy that reminded her of Adonis. One so young should never have to face such trials - she had managed to spare her daughters the pain and suffering their brothers had endured, but that did not mean others were so lucky. She waited quietly for the boy to respond, placing her rump down in the snow in an attempt to try and put the boy at ease. He was young yet, and she would not hold him to adult expectations.

Karp was unsure of his footing, the snow that surrounded him was like he had never seen. When the Queen of the Pass, Aponi's mom, showed up. He bowed his head and when she sat down, he sat down to. Casting an uneasy glance at his paws. He had never joined a pack before. "Thats really why I'm here Mrs. Aponi's Mom, there isn't a pack for me to go home to. Their all gone, I ran into one of the adults, and I told her I wanted to come here 'cause Aponi had told me about it and she escorted me up here then left." He explained, sadness inflicted on his voice. Ace was gone, Silver too.

They had sworn to protect him and they failed. It was like they didn't care in his opinion, and that was why Karp refused to name anyone else as his 'adoptive mother'. Ana was his mum for a time, then she left. silver was his mum for a time, and she left them. "I was hoping maybe I could stay here." He told her rather shyly. She seemed a lot calmer than she did when she caught Aponi away from the pack. That was always a good sign, at least he was pretty sure it was a good sign. How was he suppose to know anymore? He found it more and more difficult to figure out wolves in general. His mind snapped back into the present as he waited for Mrs. Aponi's mom to answer.

I'm happy to end it here unless you want to reply/Aponi wants to jump in? Either way this can be Naira Out.

A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips being referred to as Mrs Aponi’s Mum, but it quickly smoothed away as the boy continued. Gone? They escorted the boy up the mountain and abandoned him in the middle of winter? Inside she was ready to combust, to search out whatever remnants were left of his former pack and rip them all limb from limb. The boy was only a child, if she didn’t take him in, what chance would he stand?

Thankfully her rage did not show, she forced a small smile back on to her face. “Naira.” She introduced herself. It was true she was much calmer in her own home, fully aware that here, they were safe - her daughter was safe and soon enough this boy would be too. When he went on to ask if he could stay she lifted her rear and moved forward, circling the boy just once before wrapping her neck over the young wolf’s shoulders. She had very nearly dragged the boy home from the forest, she wasn’t about to turn him back now. “I am sure we will find some use for you. Come now, there is always something else that needs to be done.” She too then tipped back her head and called for @Aponi. After all, someone would need to show the boy around and it was about time the princess earned her keep.
