@Ace @Anastasia

She had remained for days after Shade's death, haunting the pack lands in silence. Often, the ghostly female would leave for hours, even a day or two unannounced, to travel to the waterfalls that she and Shade had discovered. There, she could allow her heart to imagine that maybe, just maybe, it would all be but a terrible dream, and she would be woken by the dark males muzzle touching her side. But never did she wake with another nearby, she always woke alone. It was now ten days after Shade's death, and Spectre was having a hard time dragging herself out of the slippery slope of mourning she had fallen into. The once alpha had fallen silent, having spoken little since the death of her mate. She had tried to spend time with the two pups he left behind - but they both appeared more attached to Anastasia than they were to the mate their father took after Rose.

She found as she stayed, the longer she stayed, the angrier and more hate filled she became. Why did he have to be such a righteous idiot!? What hold did this..Roselia have on him even after he said he loved her? She was jealous of the invisible female that had stolen her mate from her. Yes, Roselia had given him pups, but she had taken his life as well. It was because of /her/ that Shade was dead. And Spectre felt a rage building in her heart towards a wolf she had never met. So help the other if she ran into her.. Spectre knew she would blame her until the end. It was.. much easier than blaming herself for not being there. For not jumping in in time to save the dark pelted male. She had spoken to few of the pack members since Shade's death. Actually, Spectre could not remember speaking to any of them, come to think of it. She knew that there were others that would do better in her position as Second.. and that staying here where everything was just a reminder of what she had lost was only going to be impossible.

A strange static had taken over her thoughts, a lack of care for her appearance had left her fur matted and tangled. With the occasional burr or debris stuck in the longer furs. Her weight had dropped substantially, and where she had once boasted a trim ninety five pounds, she now weighed less than eighty. The lack of will to eat had done that, the constant movement, lack of sleep. It was all wreaking a silent battle on the female, and she knew that in order to survive.. To find Roselia and do to her what she did to Shade, she had to move elsewhere. She had to get away from the pack, she had to find a new home, a new place to settle down and plan her revenge. With the death of her mate, had any of her thoughts been spoken aloud, some might realize just how fractured the mind of the previously gentle soul had become. How firm on the singular thought of revenge she had settled. She would not rest until the one responsible for Shade's downfall also lay bleeding and broken on the ground.

Spectre had no idea if Roselia was even alive any longer. But she had to turn her mind to something to keep her thoughts somewhat in tact and not drown in the pain of losing the dark male. Sure, she could blame Elettra, the dark female who killed him, but she was not the root cause. No. It was whatever hold the witch-woman had on Shade that caused him to lose his mind and attack a wolf without warning. Without the backing of his own pack to keep him safe. It was because of Roselia that he had done what he did. That he had died. Spectre turned away from her den she had once shared with Shade and approached the borders of pack lands, a slow, but steady pace. She had initially intended to simply leave, but instinct told her it was best to speak to at least Ace, or Anastasia and alert them to her intentions of leaving. With her muzzle lifted to the evening skies, Spectre howled, calling for Ace or Anastasia. She cared little that her voice was weak and the note barely held for lack of use over the last two weeks. If they chose not to come, then she would leave as she had initially intended. Without warning and in silence. However, she found herself curious if the two leaders would be angry at her for having basically kept to herself for the last ten days. But then, she wondered in the recesses of a mind that was slowly being twisted by thoughts of revenge, if she would even care.

Excuse the language in this post >.<
@Anastasia? :)

Shade was dead. He had died ten days previously, and the Pitch Pine Leader still grieved over his leaders’ and friends death. His death had changed Karpos and Adsila greatly; they no longer jumped around with joy, but instead moped around, mostly staying away from the rest of Pitch Pine Trail. On several occasions, he attempted to go up to them, but as always, had second thoughts and turned to walk in the direction. No matter what anyone said to them, Shade was still dead, and nothing could change that.

Walking solemnly through the marsh-like Fen, Ace let his muzzle droop down, almost to the ground. The scents all around him had no effect on him, it was like there was a thin bubble surrounding him, sealing himself from the rest of the world. At some point, he would have to break out of it, but the pain was still too great, and he would be unfit to lead properly in this state. Something drastic would have to happen for that to happen, like someone asking to leave Pitch Pine Trail.

He barely heard it, but the pain in the female voice broke him out of his thoughts and his head raised; ears pricking up and forward. Immediately, he set into action; running towards the source of the howl at almost a dead sprint. It was Spectre, calling him or @Anastasia because she wanted to have their permission to leave the territory of Pitch Pine Leader. She couldn’t leave, he would make sure of that.

Almost breathless, Ace came upon the scraggly form that was Spectre and slowed down to a stop. He walked forwards and touched his muzzle briefly with hers before stepping back. his gaze travelled over her body. Her usually pristine white fur was all dirty and matted with leaves, twigs and other things. By the looks of it, she had lost at least fifteen pounds, maybe more.

Physically, she was unfit to live life as a lone wolf, but he had no idea how she was coping mentally. What he was feeling would be nothing compared to what she was feeling. Her heart had been Shade’s, and then he had been torn from life from that bitch Elettra. Anger flared through him, which changed from being directed at Elettra to Spectre.

She had stayed away from the pack, all by herself and wasn’t contributing to pack life. But it quickly faded. She had lost something that she dearly loved, and he couldn’t hold her against it. He would have been the same if Silver had died. Unable to speak, Ace stood there, his mouth gaping open like a fish, before he turned away; his ears flattening against his skull. He had no idea what to say, or do. Should he be angry at her? Or comforting? Or just plainly neutral?

He didn’t feel like he could do any of those actions, but he had to do something to stop her from leaving Pitch Pine Trail, and surely starving to death or being attacked or anything that could kill her. Taking a deep breath, Ace looked back at Spectre. “Spectre….I know how, hard it has been for you the past week and a half, with Shade dying and all. Everyone has been effected by it, and from the looks of it, you the most. But….You can’t leave. I know that it seems like nothing matters anymore, except for revenge. I know what it feels like. When I was younger a group of rogues attacked my family and killed all but my litter sister. I felt like ripping their necks open and watching them die, but as time went on, I realized how foolhardy I had been.”

His voice broke of there for a few seconds, before he could compose himself to continue speaking. ”Think of what it would do to everyone, especially Karpos and Adsila, if you left. Every member of the pack is loved like family. And….I don’t want to lose you as well.” The Pitch Pine Leader had no more to say, and hoped that Spectre wouldn’t go and leave Pitch Pine Trail behind, forever.

Ace arrived, and at first, he remained silent. Spectre gave him a blank look from eyes of once joy filled ice blue now full of dark hatred and anger. Her brows were permanently knit into a frown, giving the white female an almost evil look. When he finally did speak, she felt her lips curling, displaying ivory teeth with a gut rumbling growl that emitted from the depths of her body. "What would you know of revenge?" Her stance was rigid, the fur along her spine rising to stand erect. The female had begun a fine tremble in her long legs, a tremble born of rage, a rage that grew as she spoke with a voice that was rough from disuse. "You as a pup are unable to do anything against a group of rogues.. But I. I can find the one responsible for his death and see to it she is destroyed."

The snarl that laced her words grew in volume as she focused her attention on Ace. For weeks, Spectre had needed an outlet for her rage. And here it stood. Right in front of her. She took a step towards Ace, her ears affixed his direction, head lowering as she continued to growl. "The witch that caused his death will find her own at my hand.. And if you stand in my way, I will see to it you are no longer an obstacle on my path." Spectre truly did not want to harm Ace, or any of the Pitch Pine wolves, but she had every intention of hunting down Roselia and making sure she to lay bleeding and broken. To feel the terror and pain Shade felt as he lay dying. Languishing for days. Even if Roselia was dead, Spectre intended to follow her trail to whatever end she may find.. And ensure she truly was six feet under.

OMG I have no idea what has gotten into Ace O.o

As he finished speaking, he saw that her brows were knit in a frown and her lips curl up in a snarl, showing her pearly white teeth that was accompanied with a rumbling growl and words that almost seemed to sting him. “What would you know of revenge?” His ears twitched, threatening to lay flat against his head again. As she continued to speak, his lips trembled and pulled back slightly. No wolf had spoken to him like that, and if one ever did, he would leap at them and show that if they ever did it again, it would be the last thing they ever did. But in this instance, he had to force himself to keep from moving. She was under stress and was grieving over Shade’s death. Her mind was probably still trying to put everything together, so she wasn’t thinking straight. Or so he hoped.

Her snarl grew louder and more ferocious as she spoke, and she took a step towards him with her ears pointed in his direction with her head lowered. The Pitch Pine Leaders’ lips briefly pulled back to show his pearly canines before he forced himself to lower them, albeit he didn’t back off, but instead stood his ground. If it came to it, he would let Spectre lash out at him in frustration and anger, but wouldn’t attack back. She seemed as if she needed a good punching bag, and fighting back would only make things worse for the both of them.

His silver eyes narrowed as Spectre spoke of hunting down the “witch” (whom he presumed to be Rosealia) and would not let anyone stand in her path. She was walking on a very thin line that could snap at any moment, just like he felt like snapping out and making her realize that she needed to rethink how she was acting. Even though something terrible had just happened, it didn’t give her the right to threaten anyone, especially him since he was her leader, for now.

Lifting up his head the Pitch Pine Leader stared at Spectre with cold eyes. “If by witch you mean Rosealia, she’s already long gone. Before Adsila and Karp were even a month old she had left, presumably disappeared in the night.” His fur bristled slightly, even though he hated to act this way, it was needed. “And I won’t stand in your way. It’s your choice whether or not you want to go looking for someone who isn’t there. She vanished without a trace, and will likely never return. So if you want to go looking for her, then go. I won’t stop you.”

His initial reaction had the females tail lifting above the neutral position, arching over her back. The new leader of Pitch Pine was showing his submissive side, and that spoke to the grief stricken females instincts. He was weak. An easy obstacle to overcome. His words only made the rage within her breast grow stronger, and Spectre felt the continuous growl grow in strength as her feet carried her one step closer, almost to within striking distance of the other, but not quite yet. "Good. If you had intended to stop me, I would not have hesitated to rip into your hide."

The tension between the pair was thick enough that a knife could have cut it. She held her ground, ice blue eyes boring without shame into the eyes of her new alpha. Spectre had gotten the permission she needed to leave, and that was all she needed. The males attempts to dissuade her from her course had failed, and she tore her gaze from the slightly darker colored male to retreat past the borders of Pitch Pine. They had already been standing close enough that really, she could have placed one paw to her right and been standing half outside the boundaries of the pack. Did she feel a remorse for leaving the only pack she had known? No, not at all. Technically, getting the permission of her alpha to leave was a formality. She would have gone either way, permission or no. The pale female felt her anger at Ace's self righteous words growing. If it had been him and Silver, she was certain it would have ended the same.

@Spectre
@Silver maybe? c:

A soft growl rumbled in Ace’s chest as Spectre took yet another step forward; her tail raising above neutral. He would have dismissed her earlier actions, but this was going too far. He knew how much she was hurting inside, and if it was Silver that had died, he would have been the same. But instead of leaving, the Pitch Pine Leader would have stayed to make sure that no other wolf that he cared for like family died, and would have proved to himself and the rest of the pack that he gave them his undying loyalty. But what Spectre was doing was just ridiculous.

They were almost within striking distance when the white fae spoke, and it was lucky that they were far apart because his lips pulled back all the way to show his pearly white canines. Even so, he stood his ground. His ears threatened to lay flat on his skull as he stared at Spectre; his silver eyes once full of warmth were now cold and angry. Her words sounded foreign to him. The only Spectre he had known was a happy and energetic one, but now she had changed, and was bent on revenge. Nothing could change her mind, he had tried, but it wasn’t enough.

The Pitch Pine Leader’s snarl lessened as Spectre averted her gaze and made as if she was going to cross the border of their territory. All it would take was one paw step and she would be over the border and into neutral land where no packs lived. The moment the white fae crossed the border, she would become a lone wolf and would lose her title as second and hunter of Pitch Pine Trail under Anastasia.

Ace looked at Spectre, and a wave of sadness crossed his face for the briefest of moments. He would miss her, she was a great hunter, and Adsila had taken a liking to her. If she left, then Adsila would have to find a new wolf to look up too. “Spectre, the moment you cross that border is when you officially become a lone wolf, and are no longer part of Pitch Pine Trail. But just know that no pack would take in a lone female that is bent on revenge and doesn’t care what she does to complete her task. If you go, you’ll starve out there, or get attacked and die from your wounds just like Shade did.” The Pitch Pine Leader closed his mouth then. He had nothing more to say to Spectre. If she left, then she left. If she stayed, he would welcome her back with open arms, but would still keep a close eyes on her.

OOC: Okay, since I was gone due to puppy bites.. I'm gonna take this a slightly different angle. Not gonna worry about dice rolls or anything.. But have her be all RAGE and jump at him blindly. Feel free in your next post to wound her in some way that would keep her in PPT. Leg/non lethal neck/...You can even go for her face if ya want!! :D Maybe even take an eye or something.. because I'm evil like that. But basically enough of an injury that I can have her sulk and retreat to a remote location in PPT to explain my absence for the last few weeks.

He spoke of Shade, and how she would die like him. The words boiled the hatred in her heart and Spectre snarled, turning once again to face the new leader of Pitch Pine Trail. She was angry, hurt and upset. He could have just left her be. He could have just let her go on her enraged path of revenge, but no. He had to throw Shades name around like it meant nothing to him. To say that she would die like her mate. What if that's what she wanted to do!? The white fae felt her legs tremble in her anger, she felt her eyes narrow and the edges grey as a high pitched noise rang in her ears. He was the obstacle. Ace was the object of her anger and she would do whatever it took to ensure he got out of the way. "What do you know of death!?" The words weren't even her own. The voice in which she spoke was guttural, too deep. It was full of pain and anger.

The female lunged, her jaws parting wide as she made the blind attack on her alpha. She wanted to be forcefully ousted from the Pack. She awnted him to stand down and let her leave. She wanted him to die, lying in a pool of his own blood and feel the helpless terror that Shade had felt when he knew death was upon him. Ace and Spectre were of similar size, both of similar health, she had no doubt that a fight between them would come to a bloody end.
