How could he have been so stupid? He had everything he wanted, a home where he felt actually at home and a best friend who made him feel things that he had no idea what they meant. But he had left his other family behind. He had left his friend friend, Capella. He had left his sister whom he loved with all his heart, Adsila. He left Silver, who cared so much for him and his Uncle Aeo who would never stop protecting him. He just hoped that they were always alright. How could he be so stupid? Lach and Ana loved him so much, he had scorned them and hated them. But he was bias, he had left for the same reason that they had. They hadn't felt like it was their home, he left because Pitch Pine Trail was not its former glory.
His black fur weaved through the trees of the place they stood. It reminded him so much of his birthplace, the scary forest called Spectral Woods. Spectral Woods where his family came together, where he met Aponi, where he broke down when he saw Ana and Lach. Spectral Woods where he and Adsi had first met their first friend named Capella. Soon Capella had become an aunt to them, where he met Mama Ana and where she first started to care for him and his sister. Spectral Woods, where Uncle Ace, his da and Auntie Pella had saved him and Adsi from the demon man who had threatened to take them.
Now that was all over, his brown eyes filled with sadness. What have I done wrong? I lost all my family, and most of it was my fault. Sadness ripped through his heart, he looked up at the moon. He was family sick. He missed them all so much and he had no idea what else he could do. He raised his muzzle to the sky and howled his sorrows away. His apology to everyone he had done wrong was mixed in. Only hate the road when you’re missing home. Only know you love her when you let her go. And you let her go. His lip trembled as he cut his howl off.
He looked at his paws, his eyes shut tightly and his mind lost into thoughts of what could have happened. He had to accept that he had screwed up; that he was no longer worth of being a wolf of the Trail had it still existed. He was a Nomad now, and he had to learn to accept it. Never to touch, never to keep. ‘Cause you loved her too much and you dived too deep. He looked up into the dark forest, even though it was lighter than Spectral Woods, it was filled with too many memories. He felt like his former home was here, like he was born on the grounds that he stood on. He collapsed onto the ground and looked at the forest flood. He took a deep breathe. He had to gain control of himself before he was found by a Pass wolf. They might question him and his loyalties.
He couldn’t afford that.He couldn’t afford to lose what he had left everything for. Perhaps if he hid his pain, it would just disappear from his mind. He drew in a deep breath and held it as long as he could. Probably a good ten to fifteen seconds until he gave into the brains demand for oxygen once more. He stayed somewhat calm and looked at the forest in front of him again. He wanted some solitude for a little while.
