Bastet Akhenaten
Her words fell on deaf ears as around her the growls and snarls of wolves from neighboring packs thundered like lightning, drowning out her threat. It mattered little that her pack members had warned the neighbors of the River packs intention of staking claim on the prey, it mattered even less that their members were entering the scene by the minute--she realized that desperation made the others forgo the possibility of injury.

Remembering this she lifted to all fours under command of Maksim, he ordered them into the bushes for an ambush while the others wasted energy and lead the prey easily into their jaws. She praised her leader silently, as it was a genius plan that she hadn't considered until now, and followed the others until she was nearly invisible behind a snow covered bush, only her scent could be detected as the chaos played around her. Moments ticked on as the other wolves sought to bring down the prey as their own, it was only when a gust of strong wind brushed past her that she witness the disaster coming that was more monstrous than the blood shed during the excursion.

The storm came quickly as a flurry of fluffy flakes that cloaked the area instantly making it nearly impossible to see, let alone hunt. Even in her hiding spot she could not force her eyes to focus on the scurrying prey and immediately she shook the flakes from her pelt to rid herself of the cold that followed the terrible storm. There was no way that she could muster the strength to bring down anything in this storm and hoped that Maksim would not order her to, it was suicide risking their lives in this ice storm. And what worse, the scent of prey grew stale, a sign that it had escaped under the protection of the storm. There was no longer a use in remaining at their spot, their target having long gone from their grasp, and such she came out of hiding to find the remainder of Cut Rock. They would need to regroup and figure out their next step if they intended to eat something soon.-Bastet has left back to Cut Rock River-

Sagacity
With the elk gaining ground and drawing away from them, Sagacity felt a great deal of relief knowing that the hunt would not lead to a bloodbath- they were leaving the area and abandoning the prey. She felt an immense amount of relief knowing that she would not have to fight against the wolves of Cut Rock River again- at least, not on this day. Tired and frustrated, she moved by Naira's side as the wolves of Hollowheart Keep left the area- intentionally heading away from not only the clearing but their packlands as well- so that their enemies could not track them and follow them back to their homelands.

There was a great deal of confusion- so many wolves had gathered that many had been separated from their packs and had to look around to find one of their comrades before they were able to find out which way to go. Since Sagacity had been quite close to Naira when the hunt failed, she was able to follow her leader closely and obediently as the alpha left the area. Others straggled somewhat and caught up with the group before they returned to their homeland- but she was surprised to see that Mercy had not been among them. The scout did not fear for her son, believing that he knew the way back to the pack- but in the disarray and the muddle communication, there was no telling where he'd gone...After all, the leaders of the pack had not gone directly home.

Miccah Athesila

More of them arrived, and Miccah was silent as he waited for instructions. Instructions that never came. One moment he was surrounded by pack mates, and the other he was surrounded by a flurry of white. He couldn't hear nor see. The cold and harsh wind made the snow go round and round. He couldn't scent anyone, and the blizzard was getting thicker by the minute. Narrowing his eyes, he made his large bulk plow through the snow. There was no way he could find his pack mates in this frozen hell, but he was loathe to leave them in the snow storm just to save his own hide. Hoping that his pack mates were wise enough to get out of the blizzard, he began his trek back home. Well, the way he thought home was in the direction of. Miccah was moving blindly, and there was nothing he could do about it.

Bowing his head, and narrowing his eyes even further, he somehow made it out of the blizzard alive. Once he got his bearings in order, he finally made his way home. There was still a blizzard going on, but he was no longer in the thick of it. He could actually see where he was going. Breathing deep and trying to stay calm in this peril, he continued on his way back to Secret Woodlands. All the while clinging to the hope that his pack mates had made it out of the blizzard. He couldn't lose another, not after Ashanti. He was just barely starting to get his shit together.

{Exit Miccah}

Koda Reinier
His legs were getting tired, his breathing labored as he chased behind the elk feeling Chulyin near his rear. He could taste the flesh of this prey upon his tongue, the yearn to bring something into his stomach overpowering his urge to slow down. His age was beginning to show, but he would ignore it, he had to prove his worth to the pack, and he wanted nothing more than to have something in his stomach. His energy was severely depleted.

It was as he ran that he noticed the snowflakes, they fell first as thin streams before a gust of wind made them come quicker, their size more enormous. It was after a moment that he realized the storm was too much to trail behind, eventually his target had disappeared from his sight and he slowed into a stop. His senses thrown, he turned his head to shake the flakes from his head and vision before he turned tail and headed in the opposite direction to search for someone familiar. He could see no one and wondered if they had all disappeared before him, it was possible considering how far ahead he was from the others and he headed back home with a slow trot.

He had no idea when his next meal would be and considered the elk a lucky fool, he only hoped to find something soon considering how much energy he had wasted in trying to bring down the elk. It was a minute or two before Koda found his breath and broke out into another run, headed back in the direction of his home. {Exit Koda}
