Celandine Argyris

Welcoming her brother's nudge with one of her own, Celandine took comfort in his presence, until his stomach began to growl. It only aided in reminding her how hungry she was. Unfortunately, food was not at the top of their list.

Sticking close to both Takis, and Hypatia, the youth watched on with excitement. It seemed that the pack took on a defensive stance. Wolves she knew only by scent or name moved forward, ready to do whatever was deemed necessary. One wolf in particular caught her attention. A white she-wolf who had joined them in the twilight of Magnolia Glen. The woman stepped forward, ready to prove herself, as all the other's had. Just one more able body to fill their empty ranks, one more being to place their trust in, and one more loss waiting to happen. They all left eventually, and so would she. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but someday. Not even blood was strong enough to keep someone close.

Redirecting her attention to the matter at hand, the young girl focused in on the stranger. It seemed as though her words didn't sit well with their patriarch, and for good reason. When he addressed the tawny she-wolf his tone held an air of confidence, but Cella felt her skin prickle.

As the stranger plead her case once more, it seemed her brown eyes fell upon the siblings. Immediately, the youth looked to her sister, whose stance had already risen to the occasion. The last thing Celandine wanted anyone to think, especially a stranger, was that they were weak. Allowing her body to mimic Hypatia's posture, the amber-eyed girl felt a sense of satisfaction. Now almost indistinguishable from the smaller adults in height, she might have looked like a threat, or at least like she could put up a fight if it need be.

With bated breath she waited for her father's final verdict.

Takis Argyris

Hypatia was quick to step toward them as the stranger had appeared, and Takis regarded the newcomer with curiosity. There were a few new face s—those that had appeared as suddenly as his father had, and while the ivory youth was more or less trusting, he still maintained his reservations. Even at an age where selfishness was a driving force, he understood family was everything and that strangers were not always to be trusted.

And so he sat in silence beside Celandine, too tired to speak or to investigate anything further. His paws throbbed with the journey they had been on, and his gaze blurry as his lids tempted to flutter shut. He rolled his shoulders back then, flexing the young muscles that would one day likely mirror the build of his father. His eyes would drift between the others – a newcomer, white, who stood beside his father in what appeared to be protective nature. The fiery pelt of the she-wolf who now wove a rather impressive statement together to join their ranks. Ace had even moved closer to them – a wolf of constant presence, but one that Takis had socialized little with.. In truth, he only really interacted with his family, as the Argyris patriarch was quite possessive of his younger family.

As a yawn crept past his jaws, the boy attempted to keep them as closed as much as he could, and instead, a small whistle escaped him. Blinking, he withheld a sheepish grin as his eyes strayed to Hypatia, quietly wondering if she had anything for them to eat.

*scurries in* sorry for the lateness!

Sleep had not been the dark beauties friend. Instead, as her siblings slumbered with their bellies full and the warmth of their father covering them, she found herself laying restless near his rear, wondering what the morning of their adventure would bring. She had worried of them leaving, and though she knew her father was doing it for the good of the pack and his growing pups, the pang that developed in the pit of her stomach made her question her ability to leave. She would miss the Glen, it was her birthplace, the only place she knew that her mother and father had been together on and yet they were leaving it behind in search of a new start--one without Borlla. She missed her mother dearly, so much so that her memories of her were more vivid than usual leading up to the morning of the departure and when Phineas stood to wake them she was already up, nearly stumbling from lack of sleep.

Her movements were zombie like, the look in her eyes held little emotion as she followed the trail blazed by her towering father and the remaining members of the Glen; they were small but they were loyal and she had begun to trust them more. With the turn of her six month the gangly youth looked nearly adult like in physique, and yet her thick paws and willowy pelt set her apart from the weather aged appearance of her older peers but she felt braver than the night before and she was ready. She would accept this pack as her new home.

Silence was her companion as she followed closely behind Celandine and Takis, having finally mimicked their swiftness as time passed in their journey, and despite a feeling of fatigue a sense of renewed energy blazed within her when Phineas finally paused atop of Mount Dire. She panted lightly, catching her breath, before looking over her shoulder to the others when her father gave a name to their new home--Silent Moon Plateau--it was perfect, and it rolled off her tongue with ease. "I like it Pa." she started as her tail wagged stiffly behind her, "are we stopping to rest now?" she questioned, searching his face just as the voice of a woman startled the group.

Evy watched her, taking note of Tannis and the speed he took to guard her father from what ever harm she would do, but judging from the woman's stance she was of no real threat and her eyes widened when Phineas took a step forward to address her. She nodded her head to agree with him when he spoke of this being their home, but she couldn't help wondering what the woman would do if they did in fact settle on land that she had been thriving on for so long, could she survive without their resources. A wordy response left the woman's lips and Evy hung on to every detail of her words until finally they grew quiet, and as if to persuade her father's decision she quipped, "I think we should let her join us Pa..." before settling onto her haunches with a exasperated sigh, she was definitely tired and it would do them good to rest before wasting energy to find food.

Tannis Andreas
“Attachment to a land means very little to this pack,” Phineas had relayed and Tannis let out a low rumble in agreement. Only when the Leader spoke again did the growl ebb away into silence. Saliva dripped down from his black-lined lips, his ears coming forward while his muzzle remained wrinkled and still wholly displeased with everything that had put their agenda of claiming their new lands on hold.

The woman, in so many words, let the Argyris and his travel party know that her proposal to be apart of their ranks was quite possibly beneficial to them. It made the Andreas prowl forward by a step, his stance still rigid and and very much agitated. At his back he could hear and feel the cubs staring at the adults. Though, it wasn't until he heard one of the girls voice her opinion, "I think we should let her join us Pa..."

Tannis bristled tail idly swayed from one side to the other as he, too, waited for his superior's decision. Others had joined Phineas' side now and he hoped it would be enough to let the rogue woman know that, regardless of whether she was a threat or not, she was very much at the mercy of the wolves of the now declared pack of Silent Moon Plateau. Obviously, they were very much the opposite of a clowder or a bunch of brainless, witless creatures. As if to wordlessly voice his own judgment, he let another couple of growls lift from him with a curt snort. Personally, he would have preferred that this... Seraphina-woman had made her request at a different time rather than now when there was still much to be done. Ultimately, however, he knew that it was his Leader's decision and he made no more than a peep or a click of his teeth as he continually flashed his jagged yellow teeth at her. The sooner this all blew over, the sooner the pack could rest and continue on with their tasks of securing their new home.

Aestyn Lunx
So sorry I'm late! I've been busy with RL stuff.

flash backs had haunted her useless attempts at trying to sleep that first night with her new "pack mates".
The King of which she still did not know his name had offered a kind hand one that invited her to make the long trek to where he had hopes to reestablish his domain at the base of the mountain. Aestyn had accepted the generous invitation though her aching limbs screamed in detest. She had laid near him the first night as he had advised her to. Maybe the hauntings were from simply being so close to a complete stranger never mind the thought of sleeping with several other unsuspecting wolves who might lash out when they saw her the next morning laying next to their Lord. Though, she tried to be grateful for the warmth that the surrounding bodies provided horripilation struck her most of the evening.

Before, she could even realize what was happening she was awoken by the packs rustling. The move was on, a slight groan bellowed from her throat as she coaxed her eyelids to obey her command to open. Slowly, they granted her demand as they mornings light had just began to peek through the previous nights darkness. The leader had ushered his younglings to the front of the proceeding line unsure of her place in this so called line she to remain on good terms with the leader hovered in the back. She was silent most of the long tiresome trip down the rocky terrain. No one had even seemed to notice her presence which was fine with her for now. She didn't feel much for carrying a conversation presently as she needed all her energy to be exhorted on the seemingly endless endeavor. Hours upon hours she walked in the back of the pack quietly taking in conversations from up ahead gathering as much useful information as she possibly could. She had now learned the leaders name and that was a very helpful piece of information. The pack continued until the now not so nameless leader, @Phineas that she had been following had announced their arrival. The base of the mountain was breath taking. It was obvious why he had decided to risk the moving of his pack.

Though their arrival had seemed to find a not so welcoming party of one. A she-wolf that had made home here among the rocky terrain. She was spitting out several words a minute trying to state her ground. She asked finally for a place in the pack. Aestyn anchored herself a few feet behind Phineas as the rest of the pack enclosed the space ahead of her waiting to see the judgement of the Lord. Aestyn's harks flicked as she listened to her pack members growl and try to bite their tongues. All except one of the little ones who seemed to have found something she liked about the stranger she spoke up in favor of the maidens request. Aestyn, held her tongue after all she had no room to speak. She had just been accepted into the pack the night before. @Tannis, the one that seemed a loyal follower was obvious with his thoughts on the matter as he growled gruffly at the female. Peering back to Phineas she awaited curiously to see if he thought her manners were acceptable enough or if it would turn into a brutal fight that would no doubt turn into a blood bath on their new home grounds.

Phineas Argyris
Last post from me. Will archive this thread in a few days so everyone has a chance to get another post in.

It was the simple fact that she she-wolf dare bring in his pups -- they stood a decent number now; Ace, Tannis, Desdemona (she didn't really count), Hypatia, and the newcomer, Aestyn. He was about to respond with nothing more than a flash of his fangs and the lunge forward of his paws to begin the chase and her descent from the mountain when his little daughter piped up, her ebony frame curled so close to his. Blinking, the regal cast his eyes down -- Evy had grown so drastically, over the months, and somehow his trio seemed to even hold a maturity in their faces just since their mother's disappearance that at times would catch his breath.

Evy had her 'wisdom face' on now, and he offered a derisive snort before glancing his eyes back to the female. "My daughter has vouched for you. Do not disappoint her," he rumbled, his gaze flashing as they fell upon the rather brazen female.

He shifted his weight his shoulder grazing Tannis' to encourage the male to accept this before his muzzle swung to study the others. Their claiming song had been interrupted, and while it would have been an ideal opportunity for him to initiate the order to mark their territory borders, he instead was much more interested in maintaining this small and rather haphazard family.

Tilting his muzzle back once more, Phineas Argyris allowed his voice to echo the mountains -- to announce his claim on this little piece of land they had found within rather ominous foothills. Only after the pack spent its time relishing in this glorious victory would he then gather a few to help him mark the borders.. while the others were to stay with the pups.

Silent Moon Plateau had finally been born.

Seraphina Faye

Seraphina was stunned to see so many of these wolves, these strangers, glaring at her as if they were keen on the opportunity to chase her away. Did they not realize that she was more than willing to leave if they decided she was not fit for their pack? Why were they so eager for violence? Phina was in awe of how different these wolves were from her family. She had left her family because she did not agree with their treatment of women, but could wolves on the outside be worse than those of Revelry Rapids? The sole redemption of the entire scene was the voice of one of the female pups who piped up to cast in her vote in favor of letting Seraphina join.

For a moment, Seraphina wondered if the ivory leader would give the order to have his pack mates chase her off, but he seemed to have been swayed by his young daughter. He let her join because of his daughter? Did he respect his daughter's opinion so much? Surely if Phina ever would have piped in to her father's business in that way she would have been reprimanded. But this young girl had found the power to save her. Seraphina was in awe of the whole situation: the horrible inclination these wolves had to fight and also the sway that the young girl held over her father.

Embarrassed to have shown, even for a brief second, a look of surprise, Seraphina gave her head a quick shake before bowing low before her new leader. Apparently, she had done something wrong here and had offended many of the wolves, though that had not been her intention. Now, she vowed to herself that she would earn their respect and no amount of hard work or sacrifice would stop her. And she would not disappoint the young lady who had vouched for her. She would do her best to repay that young girl however she could.

Celandine Argyris

Someone is throwing a fit. >.>
Note: These are Celandine's thoughts, and her's alone. However, she believes them to be true.

Evy's words made her sick, and her father's acceptance that much more. Anger boiled below her skin, hotter and hotter until she thought she might explode. Oh Evy, the pride and joy of the Argyris family, taking in all the strays. Good Evy, with a heart of gold. Why? Why couldn't it have been her? Jealousy ravaged the youth, as she took a step back. It wasn't fair, it would never be fair. She was their heir, so why had they looked to her sister for confirmation? Somehow it seemed the spotlight was always on the dark girl, though she didn't crave it. Not like Celandine had. At best, Evy could be a counselor, but she wasn't ruthless enough to lead. No, she didn't have the heart to turn a wolf away, nor the strength to lead. The decision was not her's to make. Things had to change.

Maybe this new start would be good for her after all. Well, as soon as she learned to let things go, which might take more time than she wanted. Either way, she couldn't make a fuss about it anymore. The decision was made, and the new wolf had been admitted. Her father was not one to break his word, and so she lifted her head with his, allowing her voice to fill the air in perfect harmony. This was their home.

Tannis Andreas
The verdict, no matter how simple, hit hard in the Andreas man's ears. It did little to soothe the nervous and anxious man's worries. A child... vouching for a stranger? It was unheard of! At least, that was how it was from where Tannis had originally hailed from - that crooked and corrupt sort of ravine that harbored and gave sanctuary to both the saint and sinner alike. No one, not even Tannis' siblings, was allowed to voice such a thing when their parents were present. For Evy to say such a thing and for her father to acknowledge her made the agouti brute cast Phineas a quizzical sort of glance.

The Argyris was quick to persuade him though and just like that Tannis dropped his defenses. His wrinkled muzzle smoothed out and his hackles lowered to a certain degree. Even his bristled tail relaxed to some extent and, when the patriarch at last loosed his voice to the sky above the plateau, his own song lifted from his throat. At first it was an unimposing falsetto, but just mere seconds after joining, his pitch slid down in scale and tone to harmonize with Phineas' own song. And, once their claim on the land had been verbally declared, the Argyris gestured to a select few to help mark the edges of their new home.

For being rather new to the ranks, the Andreas was much too proud. Fiercely loyal on one hand - perhaps to those who had joined the pack soon after him - but obviously strange and suspicious on the other. With his head held low and his tail held straight out behind him, he stalked after his superior without a word. The women, he was sure, could do as they pleased; and, as far as he was concerned, he would rather keep an eye on his beloved protector and ruler should the dangers of their new place decide to reclaim it in their wake. Much like Phineas' own shadow, he crept away with a few coughs; his pale yellow eyes only leaving the small group when he had nearly tumbled down the uneven stony ground.

Hypatia Argyris
Hyp noticed Cel copy her stance from the corner of her eye, but instead of worry, she felt proud. They were not so little any more, and to think they were strong, could take care of themselves helped ease her mind. Takis seemed the opposite on the situation, tired. Orange eyes flicked to him more than ready for this to be over. They had to be hungry, and she was eager to see what she could find here. Explore a bit of this new place, and maybe get a minute of alone time.

Patience wearing thin, dark cloaked Evy seemed to have something else in mind. Stating simply that they should let the loner join them. Why not? They already had two strange females, why not another? Internally, she grumbled, but Hyp did not utter any of this. The only thing that had changed was her gaze was now upon Evy, and Phineas. She was honestly a bit surprised he had agreed, and yet... No, they were everything to him, and this was just an opportunity. With that done she relaxed her posture, unaware how perturbed Cel was by this. She nudged her pale sister, and brother encouraging them to add their voices to father's, to this new start. Then lifted her own muzzle, adding a lightness, a claim.

It was settled, and things to be done, she suspiciously glanced at Phina, but did not utter a sound. Willing herself to possibly give her the same chance Evy had, she looked to her siblings. "Rest, and then we shall find something to eat."
