Capella Destae

As she waited for an answer, she tried picturing a life in which Lachesis pushed her away indefinitely. The ghostly male had been her center focus - her life really - for so long now, could she live without him? Their paths had been so closely intertwined, veering off in opposite directions, only to find each other once more. Was this fate, or simply coincidence that kept leading them towards one another. Then he spoke, the words rolling off of his tongue, sans stutter, straight into her stomach. An eruption of butterflies, and nervous jitters took over, and then there was nothing else in the world but him. Her Lachesis. He loved her, he was in love with her. How strange.

Without missing a beat, she nosed his cheek, awkward, and still uncertain of what this meant. The hardest part was over, but where did they go from here? Capella had very little, if any experience in what it meant to be in love. Her mother had been taken away far before she had the chance to explain it to her. In fact, the only knowledge she had on the subject came from those around her who had found 'the one'. For a time, she had even thought Anastasia would stay beside Lachesis, eventually becoming his mate. The thought filled her with guilt, but she had to push it away. This was her silver lining, her happiness, and for once, she needed to be selfish. Lach was her everything, and she wasn't going to give it up so easily.

This little confession had been a long time coming, and the events leading to it always seemed so tragic. Recalling their history, as she had done countless times before, Capella found love to be strange. It was in the secret way her heart fluttered when he spoke, the horrible way it broke when he spent his nights shaking. Maybe she had refused to acknowledge it, or maybe she never truly knew. Although the time he entered their den, Bastet's scent fresh on his coat, she had stayed up all night, wondering who the wolf was. It wasn't anger, but plain curiosity. One she hadn't felt in so long, and at some point she asked herself why it mattered, but found no real reason. Now she knew.

Reveling in the quiet bliss, she did not speak, but rather snuggled closer to him. Listened to his heart beating, felt his sides as they rose with each breath. This was her forever, and she hoped it always would be.

<333 sorry for the delay!

There were not enough words for the thin healer to describe how much he truly loved Capella. Once she had spoken the words he longed to hear, and he had echoed his own confession, everything made sense. It had always been Capella, and would always be her. She has been there for him when he had needed her most; she had comforted him when he had craved it, and left him alone when he asked her to. She was a long, cold drink of lake water on a hot summer’s day; the sun peeking over the horizon to single the start of a new day. Lachesis could not – and would not – imagine his life without the pale, yellow-eyed girl by his side. He was positive that he had loved her since their encounter, when she had guided him out of the forest and they had played as if they were only a few months old. She had brought out a side in him that XIX had thought was gone forever, and he had unknowingly done the same for her.

It was remarkable how strong their bond became after a single meeting – and it had only flourished since then, blossoming into something that Lachesis would cherish for the rest of his life.

The slender male leaned into her warm fur as she nosed his cheek, a soft smile falling across his dark lips as he buried his face into her shoulder. Love – what a strange thing. Although foreign and unexplored territory for the human-raised wolf, it just felt right; as if he had been waiting his whole life to stumble upon Capella and fall head over heels in love with her. “You’re stuck with me for good now,” he murmured into her fur, a feeble attempt to make their confession a little less awkward. He never knew what to say – his words always fumbled off his tongue, mangling together to create some sort of response to the situations he found himself in.

Fortunately for the spider-legged yearling, Capella happened to be almost as awkward as he was, which made their confession that more special. He loved her and she loved him – Lachesis couldn’t remember a time when he had been happier than he was right now.

Lachesis was different now, different from who he was in the fog, and from the days he stood beside Anastasia. Her name brought another round of emotion entirely. How would the blue eyed fae handle the newest development in their relationship? Would she have hated Capella? Felt as if they had forgotten her? Or would Lachesis leave the sunny girl, finding rekindled love with the girl he was destined to be with? Only time could release her burdens; Lightening the guilt on her conscious. After all, this was love, her chance at making a life of her own, and she couldn't waste it on 'what if's'.

Her mind instead turned toward him, her lighthouse. The boy calling lost ships into the bay; Towards safety, towards home. Capella's mother did not get the chance to tell her about love; Of the way it makes your heart soar, nor the pain it brings. Thus, she had to learn for herself. Secretly, she thought maybe he had to as well. Lachesis was even younger than she when they met. His parents couldn't have had enough time to teach him those important lessons, or maybe they had. She had never asked.

He nuzzled into her cheek, spreading a warmth unlike any other through her skin. Their proximity was comfortable, more than it had been in a long while. She had struggled with it since her arrival to Cut Rock River, but now, well it just felt right. There was no other word.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Smiling, she planted a lick across his cheek. Whether their first meeting be fate, or circumstance, she couldn't know, but honestly, she couldn't care less.

and fade out hereeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Of course the slender youth was concerned about what would happen if Anastasia returned. He knew that the blue-eyed dove would feign happiness even if her heart did not feel the same way; Ana was much like Lachesis in the sense that she didn’t like seeing others sad. Even if it hurt her own heart she, like XIX, would not allow it to show if it threatened to jeopardize the happiness of another. He was unsure how his blue-eyed companion would react. Would she feel as though he had replaced her? Would she be jealous? Would she, the wolf Lachesis had spent so many nights curled up against, wish that he had chosen her to spend the rest of his days with?

He quickly dismissed these thoughts and returned his attention to the sunflower-eyed girl at his side – it was her, and it always would have been. Since their first encounter a bond had developed between the pair; it as though an unbreakable chain linked the two together, drawing them closer together as the days passed. It had been nearly a year that the pair had spent getting to know and fall in love with each other; XIX was thankful for the time, as without it their relationship would not have flourished.

His body instinctively moved closer (if that was even possible) as the pale female spoke, a soft smile forming over his dark lips as he pressed another lick to her forehead. She would always be his – until she no longer wanted him by her side Lachesis would do everything necessary to keep her safe. He loved her, and he would do anything for her. From what he understood, that was part of what it meant to be in love; doing anything for the other, even if it meant risking their own lives. Capella would always be put on a pedestal; always put first (although the pack didn’t need to know that). XIX could not imagine his life without the bright-eyed girl; she was everything.
