--I would like everyone to post at least once in this hunt thread, then after that if you're busy just tell us and we'll skip or pp with your permission. A hunt with the whole pack is very much needed. Plus the yearlings get to learn. Athena or Dziban can stay out of this though to say they're protecting Rory.
NO POSTING ORDER! So spree or go hog wild with posts!
It was early morning outside and the meadow was covered in dew. A dark gray shape hung close to the shadows making use of the long grasses to hide itself. The top half of the wolfs gray fur was dry whilst her lower half was soaked by the early morning dew. It was still dark out, though some birds were singing their early morning songs, and the scent of morning was crisp in the air.
The gray wolf had exited her territory, though still near the borders of it, and started scouting for the scent of prey. As she made her round through the meadow the she wolf found the fresh scent of a doe and her fawn. Noting the direction it was headed Nari decided to get the pack together. In order to corner the deer we would have to chase it away from the edge of drooping willows back into the open meadow where it can be taken down. That means having at least two wolves stationed just inside the forest and chasing the doe from both sides back away from the edge of the woods.. Nari thought quietly while scenting the air for the deer. She could tell it was a little ways off. If she howled for the pack here she may frighten the thing.
So Nari back tracked all the way back to her border then sent up the call. She called for every wolf she knew of. Though she wondered whether Athena would come or Dziban. One of them would be staying back to take care of the little pup Aurora.
"There is prey nearby! Come all of you for the hunt! " Nari called letting her song echo through the air across their territory. When she finished the alpha turned to stand at attention waiting for her pack mates to arrive. She stared across the meadow in the direction that their prey had been and hoped that it was still there.
