Phyrrus Nereus Monodora
Phyrrus continued to wander her way through the forest. She knew exactly where she was, which was for her, a big deal. She had always been lost and confused but returning to her home from years and years ago felt like a refreshing wave of knowledge. The sun had begun to set, even though no light escaped the sticky and clumped grey clouds that seemed to be permanent in the winter skies. Mist was starting to gather on her spiked fur and long eyelashes. The snow had turned to an icy slick that she confidently glided on with ease. With a flick of her tail she paused and sniffed the air. It reeked of a pack some miles away, she didn't know that a pack lived here. And to her surprise, they had a distinct smell that had a familiar twinge to it. She soon realized it was river fish, and furrowed her brows in disgust at her discovery. Fish, in her opinion was easy food. It didn't come with pride and was simple to catch. She cleansed her scent palette by licking her nose and snorting. Phyrrus had the compelling feeling to moving forward to the pack and wandered further into unclaimed territory to find out what this was all about.

Night fell and she was starting to feel a bit exhausted and quite lonely after not speaking to another being for eight months. Sure she saw loners that backed away at her mass and threatening ways. But she never really said anything. Don't get me wrong, she was an extremely confident and rebellious wolf. But speaking to those who feared her, its was a waste of time and she needn't be doing that. She closed the thought and pawed around for a place to rest for a few hours before getting on with her journey. She found a nice place under a tree to rest and curl up. It took a few moments to become really drowsy, with a last glance up at the moon she closed her eyes and fell into a sound sleep.

Phyrrus Nereus Monodora
She woke with a start. Her eyes danced around while her body kept still. She narrowed her eyes on a large black object about a three feet away from her. She stood, glancing around with slight caution. Then proceeded to investigate the figure. When she got closer, she was able to label it: a raven feather. She marveled at the iridescence of each strand of feather matter. Glinting and glimmering in the early morning sun. Phyrrus though out loud, "How the hell did a raven get here.."She furrowed a brow, wanting to keep it, but where could she keep it? Was the real question. She wedged it in her paw pads and stored in the fur behind her right ear, about three inches sticking out in the copious silver fur.

Phyrrus shook her pelt and took route to cold water creek. She trotted with a jaunty pace, pleased with the sky's performance in colors and shades swirling around the blood red sun. She hummed and increased the pace to a gallop. Sprinting past the thin trees harboring frosted over snow in their grooves between the bark and branches. After about ten minutes of hardcore running into the deep snow, she slowed and started to look around for something small to eat.

A bloody dismembered rabbit lay beside Phy as she licked her mouth and swallowed some snow to quench her thirst. After Phyrrus gathered herself, she moved onto the path she had set to travel on to get to the Cold Water Creek area. The sun had risen higher in the sky, leaving the bright colors to fade as the clouds darkened and spread over the sky and sun, once again shrouding the world in hope crushing blackness.

Hours later she reached the creek, taking rest for tough trekking tomorrow.
