Silver
@Namid, let's do this!

Silver knew just what she wanted and she knew just who had it. That female right above her, Namid, was holding what she wanted. A strong spot of second. Silver should be happy she was even sitting with third but she wanted and needed that extra push to her. So not delaying anything the dark woman lifted her head and called out for the younger girl. When she brought her muzzle back down she took a seat waiting. She was almost sure Namid wouldn't be too long.

Letting her tail flick a few times against the ground she started to ponder what just might happen. Silver didn't know Namid enough to tell how she just might react to Silver wanting her rank. For all she knew the woman might simply step-down, or the woman might fight till the end for it. Either way things would go Silver would like to say she was prepared for this. Her body tense holding in all the excitement. On her face she remained a calm look but on the inside her bones were rattling like never before. It had been some time since she had made a rank challenge and the thrill of it was something that always excited her.

Closing her eyes she took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. Although she was excited it was probably best to remain calm. Deciding she couldn't sit any long she slowly rose to her full height. Shifting her weight from side to side. Time seemed to be frozen in this very moment.

Namid had been sitting around like a bump on a log all day, trying to decide what, exactly, she should be doing. Being new to this whole pack deal, she wasn’t sure what she could do and what she couldn’t do. So far, everything had seemed pretty lax and she was getting the feel of it day by day. Most of the wolves in the pack that she’d actually had the pleasure of meeting she had found were very nice, and she’d felt welcomed by most of them. Of course there was the exception of Bishop whom she knew that when she found out about Namid’s presence in the pack, as she hadn’t by some miracle, there was going to be hell to pay. She was still nervous about this meeting, because she really didn’t want it to escalate into a fight. A frown marred her mar at the thought of having to fight the twin with a dark personality.

However, those thoughts were pushed out of her mind by a call. This call sent chills up her spine, it make her hackles raise and her heart race. Something in her called back, it sent her inner self into a position that was most unfriendly. This call had been unmistakably for her, and it held the note that they wanted something she had. Raising her brows she slunk down the incline, her haunches bunching beneath her as she kept herself from falling. With a leap, she landed on flattened ground then headed toward the source of the sound at a trot. She was surprised to see it was an older black pelted wolf, Silver she believed to be her name. What could she possibly want from Namid that was so important? Except, on the inside her wild wolf knew. Silver wanted her place, and though the Star Dancer was not normally a violent wolf she did not feel the need to back down. This was a new pack, her pack, and she didn’t want to seem like she could be pushed around.

Squaring off in front of the older female, she took in her form. She was slightly larger than Namid, which could give her an advantage. However, she was also double the pale woman’s age which meant she was weaker. This could give her a fair shot in the end. Making up her mind and shoving away the uncertainty and guilt brewing in her stomach she straightened her posture and lifted her head, curling her tail over her back and narrowing her mismatched gaze. This was a Namid not seen by many, and when she needed to get down to business it was best that her path was clear. This older woman was in her path, and the Star Dancer intended to mow her down.

Silver
Namid was quick to arrive and Silver was quick to react. Barking out to the woman she raised her tail too. Letting it dance high in the air for the moment she looked the younger woman right in her bi colored eyes. "I believe you have what I want Miss Namid. You can hand it over or I'll gladly take it from you." Snarling lightly she waited to see what Namid would say. In all honesty Silver wouldn't be surprised if Namid wanted to fight for it. In fact, Silver would be more surprised if Namid gave it up instead of fighting it out. She had been watching the younger wolf and it seemed Namid was taking a liking to the spot of Second. But something inside of Silver said that Namid didn't deserve it, she herself deserved it.

As time passed by it seemed to be taking for ever. Though the dark older female knew that in reality possibly only seconds had passed by. Time always seemed to lag in situations like this one. It was just the thing that sucked the most about her mind. She had the ability to make only seconds seem like they lasted hours. But perhaps that was because of all the thinking. Silver was starting to think that time lagged in her own mind full of thoughts but the reality was skipping by on seconds and minutes. That was just the way things seemed to be with her. Yet she had to snap out of it. What mattered now wasn't her time altering thoughts. It was the fact that someone had what she wanted, what she deserved, and Silver may have to fight for it.

Instead of reconsidering, Silver rose to mimic Namid’s own stance. Her mind rang out at the challenge, her hackles prickling and tension crackling in the air around her like electricity. What was she even doing? Namid had never really fought in her life, little play scuffled with her brothers didn’t amount to anything. But, at that moment it wasn’t truly the Star Dancer standing there. Instincts had kicked in strong and flowing through her blood like morphine, numbing her logical thinking into sludge. All she felt now was a hum of excitement and readiness.

Silver barked out almost what seemed to be an order, a threat which only fueled her inner inferno more. This was definitely not the normal, sweet Namid. Instead, there stood a firecracker that was about to go off. “What is mine is mine, and for you to try and take it from me is something I would like to see and I'd gladly accept the challenge it provides.” She barked back, her own snout crinkling and her heterochromatic gaze sharpening. The girl’s body tensed, and the tension in the air seemed to thicken even more. She’d accepted the challenge that hadn’t been audibly sent by Silver, and there was no going back now. All there was left to see was who would make the first move.
