You know I don't mind :D

Finally, things started to make sense again, and Marsh felt that they were all on the same again. It had never been his intention to challenge Indru, not in any fashion, and hopefully his new leader would come to understand that he had gained a truly loyal warrior in Marsh.

That loyalty was under few conditions, and common sense was one, but Marsh would not have submitted to Indru if he did not think the wolf worthy.

The acceptance was swift and crystal clear to Marsh, who remained perfectly calm as Indru took his muzzle in his teeth. The word was superfluous, but Marsh appreciated it nevertheless, for he would have to come to terms with their necessity once again. At least his leader understood the value of brevity. Released from Indru's jaws and given space, Marsh slowly stood, feeling pride and purpose wash over him even as he kept his stature decidedly below his superiors'. Perhaps this would be the last time he would ever have to find a new home; perhaps he could serve this pack for the rest of his years. It was a pleasing thought.

Now initiated, Marsh took a few steps forwards, crossing the mental threshold between neutral territory and what was now home. Unless promptly given a duty, he would take it upon himself to get deeply acquainted with the new lands, for he had never set foot inside Swift River before save to deliver Indru's youngest sister. It was one of the few areas that he had been shut out of, and now was the land he was most obliged to know. Aware of the possibility that Corinna or Indru would wish to prolong this encounter, he awaited any sign of dismissal, enjoying being at ease and no longer an outsider. It was miraculous how quickly things could change.

OOC: I'm going to finish this thread out, hope it's alright. =)

Gone Tomorrow

Unfortunately, Cori was fairly useless in this situation. She had done her duty in detecting Marsh at the borders, but beyond that, she wasn't really needed. It was not in her power to accept or decline Marsh into the circle of wolves that lived within the boundaries so clearly marked by Indru. But she had done her job in making sure that the auburn beast posed no threat to the pack and its members. Likewise, she had called Indru, and while she didn't doubt that he would show up eventually, her presence at expedited the process. But there was not much more she could do beyond that, so she watched quietly as the submission process took place. Indru stepped forward and took Marsh's muzzle in his mouth, accepting him as a fellow. Tail wagging, the she-wolf stepped forward as well and approached Marsh, meeting him as he crossed over the invisible border. "Welcome, Marsh," she told him, her voice cheerful. Turning about, she moved closer to Indru and nudged his shoulder again, before she began to set off towards the interior of the territory, back towards the main den.

Works for me, Siki your call on whether you reply again of course, maybe put up an archive request if not. :D

A new member was always a good thing for the pack, especially an able and promising one like Marsh, and Indru's tailed waved behind him like Corinna's as he watched the newest River wolf cross over the borders. Marsh was not one for words, but it was a habit that he and Corinna had gained and he smiled lightly in jest when she too spoke to the male. He felt her nudge him gently before she head off back towards the territories centre, where he was sure Marsh was eager to explore. Once Marsh had crossed the border he waited and Indru approached him, tail waving still to show his good intentions, and aimed to brush himself along the male's side before travelling back up the other. A wolf was not pack without the mark of the dominant wolf of course, matching the scent of Indru that was coated along the borders edge.

Indru pulled away, facing him slightly before nodding, a clear sign of dismissal and deciding to help integrate him into the use of words verbally expressed it as well, feel free to go explore, Marsh. Then, with a look over his shoulder to see where Corinna was Indru headed back towards the centre of the territory, leaving it open for Marsh to follow if he wanted, but keen to return to Corinna's side once again.

Their bodies conveyed what they offered with words, but Marsh appreciated the sentiment. Content to be on good terms with both of his main superiors, and fully understanding of Indru's intentions by brushing up against him, Marsh could only be glad that he felt so easily accepted. Life would, no doubt, take a considerable turn for the better from here.

Corinna had already turned to go, but Marsh made sure to offer a quick lick to Indru's chin before the male followed his mate. The copper wolf's gratitude and satisfaction was great, and he was eager to communicate it. Though tempted to explore right away, Marsh chose to follow his new leaders in the assumption that he would learn where the heart of his new home was. There was all the time in the world for getting acquainted with the rest of the land, and now that the strains of being alone were lifted, Marsh could enjoy that time to the full.
