After making his at across the mountain and to the forest of Willows, he made his way north towards who knows where. Though, unknown to him, he entered the lands called Heartleaf Creek, named after the trees with heart shaped leaves. However, with fall upon them and winter fast approaching, he couldn’t really tell what the area would be called as the leaves have since fallen. He could still see the heart shaped leaves upon the ground, but he certainly didn’t take much notice or care at this point. He was in search of water and he could hear it in the distance.

With his long journey, he was a hungry and a thirsty man and never of those things were good. However, before he could quench his hunger, he needed to quench his thirst. The babbling brook soon entered his sights and he picked up his pace until he crashed into the waters that were knee deep. Instantly his head went down and he eagerly and hungrily drank at the water. Once his thirst was quenched, he licked his chops of the excess water, before letting his salmon tongue hang down as he panted.

He needed food now and his stomach made agreed with that thought with a grumble. Leaping out of the cold water, he put his nose to closer to the ground as he searched for anything edible in the area. He scented many squirrels, but he wasn’t up for that useless chase. Instead he turned to follow the creek, perhaps he could find a land dwelling beaver. As he moved further down the creek, he began to scent the presence of the dam builders along the banks and he started to see the evidence of the chopped trees. He was hot on the trail and that was when he saw it. The big male beaver was chowing down on a smaller tree oblivious to the large wolf behind the bushes. Licking his chops, he lowered his body to the ground as his green eyes stayed pinned on the beaver, his body ready to take actions at any second.
