Puppies and hierarchy changes!

Oh look! A second update in the same day, aren't you lucky!? This one is quite a big one though as we introduce changes to our hierarchy system and welcome you to our first breeding season (which tends to lead to puppies and other good stuff)!

In real life wolf pack's male and female wolves operate on an almost entirely separated hierarchy meaning that each one runs independent of the other. The two leaders of the pack (male and female) are the wolves who have proved themselves to be the most dominant of their gender in the pack and therefore are best suited to breed the pack's future. RoW is adopting this system so we too will now have male and female hierarchies and the rank tables have been changed accordingly. Your pack will now have two leaders (typically a breeding pair) opposed to just the one before and that each rank will have a corresponding male and female position. The game information has also been updated accordingly with information on the new hierarchy.

It is also now March in real life meaning that it is also March in Relic Lore! Of course, for our Canadian based wolves this means one important thing: breeding season! A new thread has recently been created in Wolf Central, Breeding season '11, which is very useful if you are looking into having pups for your wolf this season as it outlines what you need to do. Also, for extra reading see the linked FAQ article below. It is recommended to be as prompt as possible for this form as everything is expected to be finished by the time March ends. Then, of course, we have the fun of adopting out the new additions!

Relic Lore currently has too many lone wolves for what we would like! To try and encourage some of you to join the packs (preferably the one needing the members most) feel free to use this OoC joining form for the limited time it is there. However if you are currently playing a lone wolf character it is strongly recommended that they find a pack. Two small further updates are the redesign of the top of the board where the online list is located; this was to help give an easier viewing of the most recent updates and will soon include a weather listing. Another is the addition of allowing you to see the active users in 24 hours if the curiosity strikes you, which a link to can be found when creeping on your fellow members.
