Hexamora Beauvau
For @Nyna
Setting: Morning - Clear — 13° F/-11° C

The moon had set, rose then set again to give way to the morning light of the sun as Hexamora continued to travel south away from the sacred grove, putting as much distance between her and the dark coated male she had encountered in the powerful maze of trees. It was an interesting encounter and wouldn't easily be forgotten. She could still feel the light tingle under the patch of fur he had grabbed to stop her from walking away in order to return her skull to her. The very skull that was still clenched firmly between her jaws. Oh yes, she wasn't leaving her newly acquired precious possession anywhere it could be stolen.

Now the pale woman found herself treading through more strange lands, a forest of weeping willow trees surrounding her on all sides while the occasional low hanging branch would drag along the crown of her head and the gut wrenching stench of a packs boarder situated off to her left stung her nostrils. The woman made good to steer clear of them, keeping at least ten yards between her and the boarder line. Last thing she wanted or needed right now was some mongrel pack puffing their chest like they were hot shit and try to get an act of submission out of her or ask what her business was. Submission was not her style, never would be and neither was sharing her personal business with strangers. Why she was here were reasons only she would know, not them and so they should keep their nosy heads out of it.

Continuing onward she weaved her slender frame through the trunks of willow trees, her ivory tinted fur standing out in a stark manor against the deep ochre of the bark. Would Hexamora find another interesting adventure in this forest as she had back in the grove and creek where she had feasted on bison, filling the head of a young pup with lies that he foolishly believed. This thought was currently at the fore front of her mind as her steps came to a pause, her head lowering to gently deposit the skull in her mouth on the soft soil. Rolling back onto her haunches and tucking the wolf skull beneath her protectively she allowed herself to relax a bit, a moments rest to recover from the day long trek from the grove to where she sat now. Hexamora had refused to stop with intent on putting miles between the mystery man at the sacred grove and herself, hoping he didn't have intentions of following her. Now that she was convinced he wasn't the pads of her paws ached to be relieved of the ware of travel and thus she now gave them what they cried for. Peace, quiet, solitude. How wonderful it is.

What was she doing again? Oh that's right, looking for some company and a nice meal. Yes yes. Very important things to take care of. The yearling couldn't stand it anymore. Being alone that was. It was so awfully boring having mental conversations by herself. Talking to small rodents or the birds she crossed by was just strange and annoying. The birds would often only caw back at her and the small rodent would either give her an earful of high pitched cries before running off or simply disappear with no trace. Obviously those creatures weren't interested in talking to her. So maybe it was about time she found creatures, more specifically wolves, who were interested in talking to her.

She had been lingering around these willow tree woods for a few days now. Although she craved company Nyna wasn't exactly keen on the company of the back living in the willows. The scent of so many wolves were lined across the borders that it made her feel odd to even go closer than ten yards close to the borders. Perhaps it was for the best anyways.

Prowling around between the willow trees that didn't grow inside the borders the yearling found herself following the trace of something (more like someone). It's scent spoke a tale of female and wolf. No pack scent, mainly the grungy smell that came with being a loner. Figuring she would want to watch the female for a few minutes the Lagina made it her mission to stay dead silent. Only the breeze would give her away. Hiding in between willow tree branches she examined the female. She was sitting, relaxing, with something protected under her. Wanting to know what it was Nyna strained her neck and eyes to catch a glimpse. Her blue eyes went wide with shock when she realized what it was. A wolf skull.

Shivers ran down her spine sending some hairs to prickle up. Backing up to sit at the root of the tree, cloaked in privacy by the branches, she tried to collect her thoughts. Had this strange woman managed to kill and keep the skull of that wolf?

More like how wonderful it was. Unbeknownst to the pale woman a pair of blue eyes had their gaze locked on her, watching her ever so silently under the cloaked protection of the willow branches. This continued to go unknowingly to Hex as she allowed her small frame to ease into a laying position, her skull still tucked protectively in the curvature of her leg while she gave a few licks to her tender pads that were screaming at her for not resting sooner. Luckily it was just soreness that plagued her paws and not the pain of raw, torn flesh bloodied from hard traveling. Over the past couple years her constant moving had kept them in a hardened state, but even that didn't stop them from screeching their detest.

With her paws attended to she was now able to shift back into a sitting position, a single paw raising to bat lightly at the skull nestled between her front two legs in a childish manor. Only a day had passed since she gained her new toy, but boy did she love playing with it and admiring its grotesqueness. Beauty was in the eye of the beholder and this skull's beauty happened to gleam within bi-colored eyes. "I hope that big bad wolf didn't hurt you, my precious." She cooed at the inanimate object as if it was capable of hearing her soft words and answer back, her paws now caressing the once powerful jaw structure of the deceased wolf in a petting motion. That was until a small breeze rustled the willow branches and brought forth the scent of a stranger. Couldn't a wolf get any alone time in these lands? Instantly her body posture went rigid, the paw that was once caressing her skull now returning it to its previous spot beneath her looming chest like a mother would protect a pup. There was no way she was going to let someone else have a turn with her toy. It was meant only for Hexamora.

Glancing around her, she scoured the surrounding trees while taking deep inhales to decipher. Female. Yearling. Packless. That was the basic information she gathered and it managed to sooth her only a fraction. Hex had the upper hand in the situation with her age and wits, but that didn't mean she enjoyed the company of others either. All she wanted was one single day to herself and yet everywhere she went there was someone popping up and ruining her alone time with skully. "I know you're there. Come out." She called out into the willow forest in an attempt to draw out her mysterious stalker into the open, having no clue where exactly this strange child was hiding.
