RE: A pair of lynxes have made their home in Serpents Pass

Forward dated to December 24th :)

All SMP and FTC wolves welcome. I am going out of town for the weekend so second round starts on December 22nd. Plenty of time for everyone to jump in and for these two packs to get to know each other a bit. For better or for worse;) Also, Flyn has currently left the borders of FTC and is on the very edge of Lost Lake territory, bordering Riddle Heights, so that the SMP border shouldn't be too far from where he is now. Id like to think that this is in the middle of the two packs.

Late Evening
Snow covers parts of the mountain, but not heavily

Flyn had been out scouting the borders of his new home, looking for fun...or trouble depending on how you defined the two. The evening was going by pretty slow and so he decided to take a moment to admire the Moon nestled cozily in the dark night sky. That was the one thing about his past that he still held onto: his faith. Sure, he realized that the Moon was probably nothing more than a really really big rock. That seemed to be the most logical conclusion to him, at least. After all, the Earth was one big rock and the Moon was circling around outside of it so it made sense that the Moon would be a rock too. A beautiful, glowing rock. Despite that, the rebellious Faye still believed in what his Aunt had taught him: that the Moon was a guide. Seeing it, pale and ghastly, tucked in nicely between dark clouds and the dark backdrop of space, Flyn believed that it truly was a guide. Life was as black and white as the Moon and the sky. There was light and dark constantly swirling around in the world, in wolves' hearts. Flyn sighed as nostalgia sank in. Did a part of him miss home?

His musings were interrupted by an offensive smell that crossed his nose. Lynxes and not far off. The Faye went into full alert, letting his tail and ears raise, as he tried to pinpoint the exact location of the scoundrels. He sampled the air again and followed the scent until he finally came across a set of tracks. The black and white male was so busy following the tracks that he never noticed how close he was getting to another pack border.

Vespertio Vuesain
Sorry its blah. Can't get a grip on his muse today.

Evening had fell upon the land as the Cove alpha made his way around the expanse of the lake, paws falling softly upon the light layer of snow that riddled the ground and glowed under the light of the moon who's reflection glistened upon the glass like surface of the water. That evening he had decided to go for a routine boarder patrol after the majority of the pack had settled down for the night within the warmth of the den. The Vuesain was not ready to rest himself and now found himself following the shore of the lake, a familiar scent now intermingling with that of the pack boarder. The Faye man, who Vesper noted had not been present in the den, had left a scent trail behind that veered off towards the pathway leading to the riddled heights. This puzzled the alpha with thoughts of what that man could possible be doing heading that way and not staying within the boundaries. He would definitely need to investigate this. That man was not exactly high on Vesper's list of wolves to trust, though he was slowly growing on the Vuesain.

Trudging through the light layer of snow that blanketed the ground his own body began to follow in the path the wolf had took, his golden gaze focused on the set of paw prints that reveal the exact path he had took towards the mountain. It didn't take long for the dark saddled man to come upon the darker form of his target stock still with his nose tilted upwards scenting at the air. Coming up to his side he gave the air a sample for himself, his face making a grimace at the odor of lynx filling his nostrils. Ugh, just what they needed.
