Aesire Destine-Caravello

She had been charactaristically happy but for once in her life it wasn't that forced smile that looked real, it was a real, genuine smile because she genuinely happy. She shone just a bit brighter for that fact and that one reason. She had just finished doing some hunting, coming back with two rabbits for the caches, and so she was curled up in the pack den to warm up. The frigid temperature made it so one wolf couldn't necessarily stay out in the cold too often or for too long. Her dark tawny fur still had small icicles melting off of it as they turned into water. Aesire shivered just a little bit, still adjusting to the harsh winter weather of the higher altitudes. She did love the mountains, just sometimes not the temperature.

Perhaps later she would go and seek out Ace and see what he was up to or maybe she would teach Celandine a bit more. Maybe she'd even go and talk to one of the other femmes in the pack or perhaps, which seemed most likely, she would take a nap while she warmed up. She had been up for quite a bit and most of the work had been productive whether it be hunting or border patrols or observing other members of the pack from a distance to observe work ethic. She took a deep breathe, her eyes focusing on the entrance to the pack den as she settled down in her own little area she had made up towards the back corner of the den. She preferred her privacy.

Ace Caravello
@Aesire <3

The frigid temperature crawled through his thick pelt as he swiftly padded to the pack den, slowly making its way throughout the outer of his body and cooling him down, sending shivers down his spine. Usually he was fine with the cold, but it had come on pretty suddenly and his body had yet to completely fortify itself against the bitter blue cold. Breathing heavily, his breath came out as a misty fog in the snow wonderland he was passing by, showing just how cold it had become in such a short time frame. It was all he could do to make his way back to the pack den where he knew it was warm and safe.

When he arrived at the den, Ace shook out his pelt to get rid of the snow and icicles that stuck to his shaggy crème and silver coat. Glancing around once more at the beautiful yet deadly snowy land around him, he slipped into the den, releasing a breath at the warmth that enveloped him. It was only when he breathed in that the scent of his best friend washed over him, making his silver eyes look around for her earthy hued form. When he saw her curled up in the back corner of the den, his tail swished happily behind him as his ears pricked forward, a smile gracing his features. "Aesire," Ace greeted warmly, padding closer to her. He lay down in a sphinx like position a few feet away from her, eyes scanning over her pelt. He could see the traces of melting icicles clinging to her fur. "How have you been?" He rumbled to her, eyes shining with happiness at being near her once again.

Only the voice and scent of her best friend would stir Aesire from her kingdom of freezing her ass off. She looked up to see the familiar silver hued form laying near her in a neutral position with his paws out in front of him. Quickly a grin slid on her face as a shiver went soaring down her spine. Emerald green eyes focused on the silver ones that he held as she spoke in a playful tone. "All has been well, just not too acclimated to the cold yet." There was a hint of teasing in her tone as she let the joke flow to her eyes. "In fact, once I had warmed up, I was going to go look for you. It's been a while since we've talked..." She gave a few glances around to make sure that they were alone before leaning her head in to whisper a secret. "Or since we jumped in snow piles." With that, a soft chuckle lit her face as she remembered the sort of initiation that they had gone through.

Another wave and chill of cold air filtered through the pack den which made her curl back up into a ball. . Another shiver racked her body. Her eyes were showing so she could look look at her friend. On the inside of her mind, she was laughing at herself for reacting so poorly to the extreme temperatures while on the outside she just held her friendly smile. Would he share in the amusement that she felt on the inside when it came to her and how the mountain winter did not agree with her?
