Ryvet Borden Lyall

Ryvet never claimed to be reliable, it was something he had picked up from Valiant. If you never made promises you could never be accused of breaking them. He couldn’t be certain that Rook had not come seeking him during his foray to the Rise, but he had waited so long he could hardly be blamed for having wanted to stretch his legs.

Now he was back, taking shelter in the old bear den. All that protruded from the shelter offered within was the tip of his dark nose. Half-lidded eyes stared into the cedarwood beyond and even the bleating of a lost fawn was not enough to rouse the lanky man to raise.

He had to wonder why he was back? For all @Rook’s promises, the forest was still little more than a graveyard, a haunted shrine to remind the Lyall of what would never be again. Aniu and Sibyl were back at the reach and not for the first time he had to wonder if he would be better off returning to them.

A flash of white fur spotted from the corner of his eye and the formication of nails running down his spine was not enough to make him lift his head (the pale spectre had visited before, though whether it was a premonition of @Jaysyek’s return, or the ghost of Theo as he should have been full grown, the suspicious young man did not dare to find out for sure). It was the crack of a branch in the distance bought him to his feet. That was new.

Cautiously, the young man stepped forward, his head craned high and his nose working overtime. The chill in the air stung his nostrils and no warm scent of life beyond the hare that had fled with his sudden movement. He snorted to bring some warmth back to his muzzle and stretched. Perhaps it was time to go a’roving again…

Vasu Stormwright
Note: Vasu would have already met Rook (as their thread is dated for March 8th)

I want you to know
When I look in your eyes
With every blow
Comes another lie

After meeting that strange but kind lad, Rook, Vasu stuck around these woods. Feeling a bit more comfortable with staying here now that he knew a bit more. Somewhere in the back of his mind the Stormwright could remember Rook speaking about reclaiming this part of 'Cedarwood Forest'. It was a weird idea of one so young trying to stake a claim but he could understand it. Such was the way of life. Everyone wanted something and the young wolves of the world were no exception to this rule.

Shuffling around Vasu was unsure what he was looking for. Maybe a scrap to eat or perhaps some silent company. The grey faced male certainly wasn't a talker but he also craved company like most social animals. It would also do him well to find out more about these woods. He was sure these tall trees held hundreds if not thousands of secrets they weren't telling him. Perhaps he had to listen closer. Pick up on all the little sounds. Birds chirping, crickets, sticks snapping..

Something on the wind brought two scents. Hare and wolf. While the hare was tempting it didn't sound as good as discovering which wolf was lurking through these woods. Seemingly around the same place Rook had snapped at him. Prowling around he saw a white form. Almost ghost like in appearance. A bark rumbled out towards the other male. The white ghostly male was younger then himself. Perhaps he was another young lad interested in these forest. A friend of Rook's maybe..

"You," He spoke in rough tones not necessarily meaning to sound rather rude and blunt. "What are you doing?" Vasu didn't speak much but he figured if he wanted to make it in this rough world he had to be more verbal. Not everyone could be like his family and understand his needs.
