Rook Lyall
Feel free to post one more time or archive! /lovingly smooshes the Attaya family togetherrrr.

Finally, for once, it seemed something had gone right - someone had actually listened instead of taking Rook's words and spinning them into something that was completely the opposite of what he was actually saying. It had occurred to him now that, perhaps, it took a certain kind of wolf to understand what it was he was trying to accomplish. So far, everyone who was capable of following through with his plans and accepted him as he was had shaped Grizzly Hollow to what it was at this very moment; and, if Rowan came to a decision that he would at least see his sisters before moving on or decide to stay with them, either way the pack would continue to thrive. His explanation took and the two saw eye to eye.

"But a Lyall leads in Willow Ridge," Rowan reminded him. Rook gave a solemn nod. "Something has to be done." His tail waved slowly from one side to the other as he continued to study his brother-in-law, wondering if any questions, accusations, or proposals would arise. None did, not even after the young Leader had tried again to recruit him. What came instead was a wholehearted yes in so many words.

He could breathe again; his smile was returned.

"We'll start along the borders," he invited with the subtle lift of his muzzle towards somewhere over his shoulder. "Cinder might be around about this time, if not, we can head to the pack den and we'll meet my father... then I can take you to meet Quil and Tomen." His heart could have sprouted wings and flown from his chest if it were physically possible. After so much time to allow him to grow further away from his mate, he could only hope that the arrival of her brother would lift her spirits and bring her back to her old sense of self.

Rook stepped back to see if his companion was ready, then without much warning, he spun about and began to weave through the towering trees. Now was their chance to feel like a family, for the Attaya women to not feel so disconnected from everyone else while their brother was apart of their ranks. Rowan could have very well been a figurative key to a lock he had been struggling to open - one that granted him access into both Quil and Cinder's favor and an opportunity to strengthen the pack in more ways than one. Once Kade Attaya's son had stepped over that border and into pack territory, Rook was going to make certain that what he accomplished and established here would leave an everlasting mark.

(Fade.)

Chances are I have a BEN WHISHAW gif for that.

Rowan Attaya
/squees - and fini!

No conditions applied to his acceptance, only an easy eagerness that the dark male returned. He was presented with many options - Cinder, father, Quil, Tomen - each one an opportunity he could not wait to address. The borders seemed the perfect place to start.

Rook positioned himself at the ready, allowing Rowan to meet his gaze for a fleeting second before the Lyall dug his heels into the earth and took off - and the Attaya was quick to follow, bounding after the newest known member of his family with vigorous strides. As they took to the trees, the scents of his family (old, and new) combined with the earthen scent of cedars enclosed him in a warm embrace.

He had intended a number of things to occur by calling at the borders, though this scenario was something he never could have imagined. He pushed thoughts of the Baranski aside, not sure whether he would continue to seek the swarthy male out when it was so possible that all his answers were here, all along.
