I have no choice
'cos I won't say goodbye anymore

For weeks now she had skulked about the borders and she knew @Triell had noticed though he didn’t seek her out. A whiff of her scent, a strategically placed rabbit or a gift of herbs, even something as small as a scratch of her nails in the dirt. She wasn’t going away this time.

Her presence had been so constant she was surprised when none of the others had tried to seek her out. She watched them often, curled at the base of a tree, screened by ferns, her fur blending perfectly with the detritus and twigs that piled about the base of the trees. There had been a shift since her children were born. Instead of the woman with the white mark on her face, another had risen (although it would seem she had not chosen to reproduce as was her right given her station). It was with this realisation that a plan was formulated.

Today, she had decided to be more productive. The season made the pickings easy, a newborn fawn an easy steal, although it had not been without repercussions. A sharp hoof to her rib had been echoed with a resounding thud and after her escape was made she turned to nudge her tender flank with a wince. She could still breathe, if with pain but she was certain she would mend just fine with time. There was very little to be done for cracked or bruised ribs.

She stopped short of the border, bringing herself to a seat instead of leaving the meal for the Oak wolves to find. It was time to make her intentions known (somewhat at least). She could only hope by chance the leading man wouldn’t show up and ruin all her carefully laid plans.
