Makita Kokki
OOC: Okay, so in order to get this you'll hafta read Cold Shoulder. It makes Makita seem like a bit of a stalker, I guess, butcha know. :3 Imma say this is a little bit after Cold Shoulder was written.

Makita had waited all day for her heartbeat and breathing to slow after her nightmare in her den this morning. She waited for her blood to stop pumping so hard, for her breaths to become deeper and calmer, but it hadn't calmed much. The sight of Kinis's bright orange eyes staring into her with betrayal... It had let Makita feel how Kinis did, the feeling of being a helpless coward and the regret that followed that Kinis tried to explain to her. It had been just a dream - no, a nightmare - so why couldn't she just jumped out and saved him? And Kauda. And Kanaii. And Liss. And Johante. And Tracenda. And Aadte. The list went on and on, and the more she thought about it the more useless and cowardly she felt. It was just a dream, so why was she so worried? Why'd she put so much thought into it?

Maybe a trip to see him would help. the tawny yearling told herself, letting her head fall to her paws. She couldn't go like this, with her heart beating so rapidly and her breaths coming so fast, so she just thought of everything she liked. Rainbows that followed after a long, dreary rain storm. The bright light that lightning cast down on her, but not the wind that accompanied it. The feel of someone's fur against hers, the soft, comforting feeling it brought.

Within thirty minutes, she had slowed herself down. It hadn't been long after her and Skylah's meeting, which is probably why she was so rugged still, but now she was presentable and wanted to go find Kinis. As far as she knew, he was still on the mountain. He should be around here somewhere. And if he wasn't here.. well, Makita wouldn't be happy.

Swallowing hard, letting the horrible nightmare slip from her mind, Makita pulled herself out of her den with just a slight limp. Over the past two months, she had been healing extremely well from her bear attack. Kinis would know all about that. she thought bitterly, but quickly regretted even the slightest thought about it after her nightmare. She knew what he felt (to some extent) and knew that is wasn't his fault. She'd forgiven him long ago.
