Wariness was a spectacular accompaniment when wearing oneself out and crossing over boundaries. It was why breath out of his own lungs was ringing in Urien's ears, representing the hint of exhaustion that accompanied him. Perhaps it was just the fact that he had been condemned for lingering in the shadow prone woods that he had ventured Southwards a bit looking for solution. His tongue was thick on his teeth, reminding him that it would have been a lovely time to go and bask in a river somewhere instead of the insistence of walking.

Instead, he could not go bask his paws in the water and call it an answer to his prayers. Simply because Urien had no sweet clue what he was looking for, but it was enough that he idly took in the looks of plants, his body brushing up against trees once in a while deliberately to make a scent trail. While he was a fair tracker, ever since his attack when he had been young, and thus it had been something he continued on throughout his life to make sure it benefit the goals that he had in mind. Instead of tracking toward new and exciting, usually he would use his skills to turn in the opposite direction if it was a risk to his health.

Too many little nightmares had happened, and his head shook briskly as he reminded himself of the trials that could not be silenced. Nose was to the ground, his tail swished from one side to the other as he walked in a lazy stride, knowing that there was many things to think about. So many options and a question in which direction to take his paws. The smile lingered on his lips, but no solution hounded him in quite the way he would have wished for it. So far, there was no generous offer of dirty deeds of other wolves.

No way to swing his medium sized body in, no way for his rough coat to have a chance to stop stress shedding. Sleeping alone was a tedium, missing his sister was not something he had expected to cripple him in quite the way that had been offered. Perhaps he should have drug her with him, it would have made things much easier. Someone to merely go around and intimidate others into giving him their goods! Perhaps he should have been borne a crow, it would have made life a little easier. Roosting would not have been as troubling, at least.

Pausing in step, head swung and his voice morphed into a grunt. Someone was out and about, well it was about time! What did they think? He did not like looking at all these trees with no life. A male had to have some fun in his life... and his nose promised perhaps he would be in luck.
