Enoki Archer

@Deacon || Partly Cloudy 78 ° F, 25 ° C

Smoldering amber optics focused on partly clouded skies above through patches of green canopy. A faint hint of a smirk visibly adorning darkened lips that lay camouflaged by coal tinted fur. Rainy downpour and thunderous claps over several days finally coming to cease - if only for today - and igniting that familiar yearn within the patch work woman's inner being. Today while the weather held back more torrential rain she could work on what needed to be done. Caches needed restocking to meet an approaching demand of extra rumbling stomachs. Muscles and tendons needed to be stretched and worked. Strengthened to prepare for what was soon to come. A shift in the ranks should things fall in favor of Enoki.

Snout hovering inches above saturated soil, lungfuls of faint - due to the rain cleansing the area - yet familiar aromas greeted the huntress in training. One distasteful odor in particular indicating foxes crossed this way and that in over abundance. Their trails easily capable of being tracked further into the woodlands, but these scavengers would make poor meals for any sized wolf. Meat gamely, flavorless and much too stringy to bother with after removing the layers of fur covering it. Something as useless as that would not suffice for a hunter of her talent. Fox tails on the other hand making ideal play things for pups to begin training their skills on. Perhaps come evening Enoki could scrounge for one, or more. Gifts for the growing heirs of the ridge. Moving onward, while Inhaling deeply to better dissect the concoction of scents, a more pleasant perfume rose to the surface. Eureka!

Keeping swarthy cranium lowered, nimble paws picked up speed as her form ghosted over the invisible trail. Sense of smell guiding her in the Southwestward direction toward Hush Meadow. Ivory dipped tail held adjacent to her spine much in the way a Setter, or Pointer would when hot on the trail. A familiar burning of anxiousness in her limbs to be sprinting across the lush clearing once again. Rump of a fear stricken deer locked on target by amber eyes. Oh how she lived for the hunt.
