Secluded Spring Shivering and weathering storms

His name definitely did not seem to ring any bells with the girl. If it was an act, it was a damn good one. She seemed exceptionally open and easy to read; he could practically see the gears turning as she searched for any recollection of hearing of him. That she was turning up empty pawed stirred something uncomfortable within him, and he quickly realized that he was, well, offended.

She wasn't very picky with her words, and the 4,875th question of why has it been so long? entered his mind as she admitted to the distance between herself and Jace. What the hell had happened to his siblings since they'd all split up? It was the first time he'd genuinely wondered, but would this girl really be the best person to glean that information? Was it worth chasing at all? She lead into one name that actually had been mentioned, and he fully expected to hear Vitani upon her lips.

When it was @Eek instead, his jaw all but dropped to the floor.

Was this some cosmic joke? Some insanely intricate prank planned by the twins? Why the fuck would Eek the freak come up but not him?

"I... Last I saw her, she was trying to jump over the mountain. Eek is insane. Why the--... why would he--... where the hell is your dad now? Do you... do you know anything about your name? About where you're from, who you are?"

It was a damn travesty, and Gent was starting to become unable to hold his frustration in. Out of all of them, he thought Jace would be the last to forget something so important, to not pass on their history to his children. Why was this girl so clueless, out here in the middle of nowhere, looking for Eek of all wolves?

If she wasn't dangerous, Gent had to step in and fix his brother's fuck ups.
